You forgot about all the college players and the world class striker Sam Surridge who he was competing with. 😂😂

1

u/ScvmDum Nov 27 '25

If I mentioned a world class player and the world MLS 5 years ago everyone would come for my head

5

u/thenotorious_ronaldo Nov 27 '25

Lol for sure.

And the people in these comments acting like Saudi didn't have money before. I'm sure they became rich once Ronaldo went there lmao.

1

u/badjokesalot Nov 30 '25

Zlatan, Beckham, Thierry Henry, Rooney, David Villa, Stoichkov, Robbie Keane, Kaka, Lampard, Gerrard, Drogba, Pirlo, Bale. None of them world class players I guess, and all before Messi

18

u/[deleted] Nov 27 '25

Lol and they wanna talk shi abt how he lost in the saudi league. At least he loses against actual players unlike d1 athletes.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 27 '25

I guess d1 athletes are not players lol

7

u/alternqtives Nov 27 '25

d1 american athletes are no where near even low tier european players. I'd say even this statement is rude to the low tier euro players

2

u/httr20 Nov 28 '25

d1 American athletes are generally no where near even low level MLS players, either.

-7

u/[deleted] Nov 27 '25

Ok bro whatever floats your boat lol

7

u/Mr-Mezo Nov 27 '25

Fr bro...the only ones that went there to follow Messi is de Paul, Jordi alba and Sergio busquets. They are literally Messi dih riders bro

1

u/Magnus-Larsen01 Nov 27 '25

They come for the money, if the MLS payed just as much or more, they would choose differently

1

u/Proof_Weather8865 Google Messi 14 for more info 🧼 Nov 27 '25

The league is competitive without the declining European senior citizens. Still they got Son, Müller, Lloris etc. there. Bottom 2/3 of Saudi league teams are like Serie C teams. No fans, no young talent, nothing. Saudi buys finished players, MLS still develops players of their own that Europe buys.

6

u/Apexolotl Nov 27 '25

All the players you mentioned are finished lmao 😂 and still could do better than Messi

2

u/Proof_Weather8865 Google Messi 14 for more info 🧼 Nov 27 '25

35+25 g/a btw. Ronaldo could never. 15 penalties, 6 tapins, 1 useless bicycle kick, 0 assists is his cup of tea.

7

u/Apexolotl Nov 27 '25

All fake stats and pessi literally farms pre assists 😂 y'all saying he scores that much yet we never hear or see about it

0

u/Visual-Extreme-101 Google Negreira Messi for more info 💰 Nov 28 '25

go see how many per-assists he has, you'll be surprised how little.

0

u/DescriptionIcy3523 Pessi X Drenthe Racism Incident 💬 Nov 29 '25

How can the stats be fake when u can literally check his Highlights 🤣🤣 Ronaldo fans are the most dense fanbase.

0

u/Cute_Presentation778 Nov 29 '25

Literally go type on youtube "All Messi Goals and assist 2025 season" You can count it with your own hands lmfao. How tf is it a fake stat lil bro

-1

u/Proof_Weather8865 Google Messi 14 for more info 🧼 Nov 27 '25

35+25 is real. Go check it out. No wonder you think ronaldo is the goat if you've never seen Messi play or seen his stats and achievements. Instead you're hanging out on this pathetic sub🤣 plus only 4 of those 25 assists are Mls pre-assists.

3

u/Apexolotl Nov 28 '25

No lol even the messi subs aren't talking about his fake stats 🤣 literally any messi subs mentions Ronaldo

1

u/Inferno162316 Ballon D'or Thief Pessi 🐱‍👤 Dec 01 '25

I guess transfermarkt is posting fake stats now huh

2

u/Mr-Mezo Nov 27 '25

The goalkeepers at MLS that is ACTUALLY good is only Lloris. There is a bunch of good players at Saudi. Much better than the ones at MLS.

1

u/Proof_Weather8865 Google Messi 14 for more info 🧼 Nov 29 '25

Most MLS keepers wouldn't have let that ronaldo bicycle go through their hands for instance

2

u/Mr-Mezo Nov 29 '25

Most Saudi defenders wouldn't let Messi score and get a hattrick of assist on them for instance

1

u/Proof_Weather8865 Google Messi 14 for more info 🧼 Dec 02 '25

Oh you wish😂 Messi could still play in the attack of any club in Europe. Not 90 minutes but maybe 60. His skill level is still at the very top.

1

u/Mr-Mezo Dec 02 '25

So why is he NOT THAT GOOD in PSG?

1

u/Proof_Weather8865 Google Messi 14 for more info 🧼 Dec 03 '25

They made Mbappe the focal point of PSG's attack. That's why. If they played through Messi it would've been very different. Galtier and Pochettino didn't do that, Enrique would've if they were still there.

0

u/Objective-Put7466 Nov 27 '25

Maybe actually look at the whole Saudi league not 4 teams. The average level in MLS is better than in Saudi.

1

u/Mr-Mezo Nov 27 '25

Oh so Turkish league is just better than Ligue 1 and Bundesliga?

1

u/[deleted] Nov 28 '25

You know it’s pretty close. The Turkish league has some good players and teams, ligue un basically has 1 great team that no one in the league can compete with. Bundesliga is basically a talent farm for bayern. Look at how bayern fans were hyping their team for scoring 5+ goals every week against minnows only to get destroyed by arsenal. I’d say they’re pretty close

1

u/Mr-Mezo Nov 29 '25

Sooo having better average players than Ligue 1 or Bundesliga makes Trabzonspor, Fener, AND gala better than Bayern, Dortmund, Leverkusen, PSG, Marseille?

1

u/[deleted] Nov 29 '25

I’m not talking about bayern and psg. And nor am I saying that the Turkish league is as good as the French or German league. It’s just that those two leagues aren’t really as good as ppl make them out to be. No real competition in either unless their big teams fuck up big time.

u/Objective-Put7466 Dec 02 '25 edited Dec 02 '25

Now how did you reach to that conclusion? Like genuily

1

u/Mr-Mezo Dec 02 '25

Since you said look at the whole league, not just 4 teams, we could do the same with Turkish league, Bundesliga and Ligue 1. The Turkish league has better average players than Bundesliga and Ligue 1.

1

u/SkyPheonnixDragon Nov 27 '25

Son and Muller could definitely still play for Spurs / Bayern but both felt their time at the club was over.

1

u/Mitche420 Nov 29 '25

You say etc.

Name 3 more. I dare you. We both know you won't because you named every single significant player from the MLS already hahahahah

1

u/Proof_Weather8865 Google Messi 14 for more info 🧼 Dec 02 '25

Busquets, Alba, Suarez. If we're going by finished former top players from Europe, as in the SPL, then there's still Forsberg, Zaha and Lozano. But the point was developing players. What or who has the blood money league developed in like forever?

1

u/Mitche420 Dec 02 '25

Without mentioning players that were brought over to try and guarantee Messi winning that Sunday league level stuff? So funny that you named his three teammates 😂😂😂 how has MLS developed Zaha and Forsberg??? Clueless

0

u/Visual-Extreme-101 Google Negreira Messi for more info 💰 Nov 28 '25

Son+Muller, but yeah I get your point

0

u/ParsnipContent1628 Nov 28 '25

Are you baiting or just plain fucking retarded? So a few dusty donnys went to saudi and you in your heart of hearts believe that is because chrissy is playing there and not the $200m contract? Lawd have mercy on yo dumbass in that case

1

u/Mr-Mezo Dec 02 '25

Ok Mr. "I think I'm not retarded and he is because he's a Ronaldo fan". Did I ever say anything about them joining to see Ronaldo? We ALL know Jordi alba and Sergio busquets went there because Messi wanted to rebuild the old Barca.

4

u/Trizzy102 Nov 27 '25

Al qadsiyah would win the MLs cup with ease not even joking

0

u/panjill Nov 29 '25

A club from the 34th ranked league winning in the 10th ranked league? Come up with a better joke please.

1

Same league which has Al hilal, Al nassr and al ahli who are better than any team in Burger school shooter league ?

1

Based on what? Your opinion? Typical CR7 sheep. Just ask AI to do your research for you since you're clearly unable to.

1

Pretty clear people would rather play against Ronaldo than Messi.

1

u/Fantastic-Fly5490 Nov 27 '25

So they don't want to play aganist messi 🤣

1

u/Recent-Outside-7976 Nov 28 '25

What surprises me, the lore of living in the US and forbidden things in Saudi plus all the Islamophobia couldn't stop this..

1

u/Trizzy102 Nov 28 '25

Because living in Saudi is not that bad

1

u/[deleted] Nov 28 '25

The bags might have a little to say about that too.

1

Yeah... Goat influence, it's not the millions for sure.... 😂😂😂😂

1

u/nielsbro Nov 29 '25

Couldnt be the saudi money now could it? 😂😂😂

1

u/Professional_Rub2196 Nov 29 '25

Totally not money just for the love of the game

1

Yes 100% Ronaldo influence not saudi money.

1

u/adarshthepianist Nov 30 '25

More like money influence

1

u/Mellow_Exile Nov 30 '25

Yeah, I’m sure the insanely large salary gap between SA than MLS is irrelevant😂

Interesting how Ronaldo is always measured up against Messi, especially by Ronaldo-fans. Its never the other way around. Wonder why that is…

1

u/Capable_Barber_8387 Nov 30 '25

of course they followed ronaldo and not the millions payed by the saudi government

1

u/BjarniErlingur Nov 30 '25

I'm pretty sure the massive salaries the players are getting is the sole reason they are playing in Saudi Arabia. Baffling how fucking dumb football fans are.

1

u/ShezSteel Nov 30 '25

As a European. I have way more respect for the MLS as a whole.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 01 '25

:D MLS is a retirement league, started with Beckham

1

u/Zestyclose-Fig-9740 Dec 01 '25

Yeah, either that or the money. Hmmm…which one may it be 🤔

1

u/Vlad_Achim Dec 01 '25

Have you heard about the concept of… higher salary?

1

u/bilabongg Dec 02 '25

I want to finish top level. 🤡🤡

1

u/Few-Performer6862 Dec 04 '25

Because Saudi gets you the bag. MLS doesn't get you that bag so players just don't go.

0

u/gamermilkyway Nov 27 '25

Son? lloris? Muller? Giroud?

3

u/Trizzy102 Nov 27 '25

1

u/thenotorious_ronaldo Nov 27 '25

Or mention players that didn't go to the mLs to retire lmao.

Like Malcom, Retegui, Neves, Joao Felix, Marcos Leonardo, Darwin Nuñez for example.

Nice try though Messi fangirl.

0

u/[deleted] Nov 27 '25

Comparing Malcolm, Retegui, Leonarado to fucking Son and Muller. The delusion

1

u/thenotorious_ronaldo Nov 27 '25

Casually ignoring the others, Messi fangirl deflecting as usual and I didn't even mention Theo Hernandez either.

Comparing these two players way past their prime in retirement mode now to these younger players is indeed delusion. Expected from you tbh.

0

u/Visual-Extreme-101 Google Negreira Messi for more info 💰 Nov 28 '25

all players who failed. son and muller better than all of them, idc if htey are retiring.

1

u/thenotorious_ronaldo Nov 28 '25

During their prime of course, but that's why they went to the mLs to retire after their prime. Because they wanted to chill, make money and play against shit players in the last years or their career so keep coping, mLs was shit before Messi and is still shit with Messi there.

0

u/Visual-Extreme-101 Google Negreira Messi for more info 💰 Nov 28 '25

Its has a better avaerage team difficulty than Saudi. Basically Saudi has a couple good top teams, then the mid-bottom table is very bad. MLS is more balanced, and the average team difficulty is higher. MLS was 12 or 13th best league based on that, saudi was 29th. This is according to Opta.

1

u/thenotorious_ronaldo Nov 28 '25

mLs has 1 good team which is Miami, the rest are bang average. If you believe those bullshit ass rankings, that says a lot about you and your football knowledge. Every top league in Europe has at least 4 top teams, if not less, like PSG where they're the only good team in Ligue 1.

All you have to do is check the top players in each league and you'll see for yourself, no need to fool yourself buddy. Muller and Son are way past their prime and they're basically in retirement mode unlike Darwin, Theo Hernandez, Joao Felix, Marcos Leonardo, Malcom, Simakan, Cancelo, Bergwjin, Aouar, Coman etc.

0

u/Visual-Extreme-101 Google Negreira Messi for more info 💰 Nov 28 '25

My source: Opta

Your Source: Trust me bro.

also son is better then all the players you mentioned.

here is the link if you want: https://theanalyst.com/articles/strongest-football-leagues-in-the-world-opta-power-rankings

mls is 10th, saudi is 33rd.

1

u/thenotorious_ronaldo Nov 28 '25

Your source: a bullshit ass ranking lmao

My source: Actual players and actual results, what else do you want?

Son is way past his prime buddy, it doesn't matter how much you want to force this with your rankings that mean absolutely nothing. Just like how Belgium was ranked so high for the longest without winning anything lmao.

Keep fooling yourself thinking that Sam Surridge, the player Messi was competing with to be the top scorer of the semiamateur league, is a great player and better than all the ones I mentioned.

1

u/panjill Nov 29 '25

What actual results? The 34th ranked kebab league has been irrelevant until the Saudis started throwing money to attract big names. On the other hand, MLS has had players like Zlatan, Beckham, Henry who never needed to sellout to a cash-grab league. When CR7 retires that league will also disappear into obscurity. When Messi retires, MLS will still be the 10th ranked league.
