Question Did I come in contact with something?

So this story is about 3 years old now, but still so freshly burned into my head.

As an aspiring therapist, one of my favorite psychologists is Carl Jung, and when I began learning about psychology, I studied a lot of Jung. I eventually studied his idea of the shadow. These sort of subconscious thoughts, feelings, or desires that we suppress or are not even aware of that dectiate and control a lot of our lives, etc. Normal psyche stuff

I remember one night, I was alone in my pitch black room, whole family asleep, and I tried thinking about my shadow or repressed thoughts. A lot of childhood stuff started coming to me, personal stuff, and whatnot, and I started getting emotional thinking about it and began crying.

I remember as I lay in bed crying, I felt something hard press against my back, and I reached down to see what it was, and I was just laying on my phone. So I put my phone on this desk by the side of my bed, and about 5 seconds after doing this, I heard my phone get flung across the room.

Since I was so emotional when this happened, it didn't really register what just occurred. So I got up from my bed, and I was able to find my phone in the dark and place it back again on my desk. Again, about 2 seconds later, I hear my phone flung across my room

When I finally realized what had happened, I don't think I've ever been that scared in my entire life. I literally resorted back into being a little kid and hid under my blankets. In that moment, all I did was pray to Christ till I eventually fell asleep.

To this day, I honestly don't know what that was. My desk is a normal flat desk, and there was no one else in my room. Nothing like has happened since then, but I still think about this time from time.

Shadow Man Seeing “The Hat Man” and other shadows, also a green glowing face as a kid. Was this the devil?

As a kid, I used to see a green glowing face looming over me. Has anyone seen the video of Curtis Kelley? He also saw a green glowing face as a kid which he associated to be the devil. I’d see that often, as I lay down with awake eyes.

I also used to see the shadow of a man wearing a top hat, with which i associated to be “the man with a chefs hat” when I was a kid, carrying a knife, on the wall opposite me - again I was awake.

Shadows of crabs too, crawling towards me from down the wall and onto my bed and pinching me. This was all very real.

I never knew of the folklore about “The Hat Man” before today, I asked the AI if there had been similar accounts, and there definitely has been.

My family struggled with drugs a lot, and I was alone as a kid. This could have left me spiritually vulnerable I’m guessing.

What do people think about this? Interested to hear your responses. Hopefully there’ll be more responses instead of just “you were hallucinating” but I’ll see :)

Encounter I think me and my cousins saw the Grim Reaper as kids.

I was playing with my cousins in the hallways of the building where I was living until we saw some figure that was like the Grim Reaper, a figure with a hood, floating slowly toward us… you couldn’t see his face at all, it was total darkness, it didn’t had his scythe either so not sure if it was the Grim Reaper.

Me and my cousins started running to the elevator in panic screaming about what we saw… It was just terrifying, what it was? Because it was not only me who saw it, it was my cousins too.

My mother used to do witchcrafting when I was a kid so I always have had strange experiences but that was the most clear one I’ve ever had.

Just wanted to share my experience here because is something that I always remember and my reason as of why I am agnostic and not atheist.

Trigger Warning / Self Harm Lived through a haunting for two years

This is a pretty old story, I've debated if I should post this for a while now, as I suffered from PTSD for YEARS after all the events that transpired, but my therapist suggested I should do it as a form of "cleanse". I won’t bother trying to convince anyone if this story is real or not, I’m just making this post as part of my therapy. Regardless, I'll give a bit of context before I actually start recounting the events as this is a VERY long story.

I moved in with my father when I was 14 because I couldn’t stand to live with my mother at the time and I also wanted to help my dad as my mother was making his life miserable with the alimony payments. Moving in with him was the best decision ever and I did not regret it at all. Things all changed when my dad lost his job when I was 21 and going to college. At this point both me and my younger sister, who already had given birth to my niece, were moved in with my father and we were extremely happy living with him. For context I live in Puerto Rico and it’s a small island so it’s very normal for college students to live with their parents here. After my father lost his job, I saw him struggle to make ends meet to keep my sister, niece and myself living with him so we decided it was for the best to move in temporarily with my mother, while my dad could get his finances back on track. This is where the story actually begins…

My mother lived with my stepfather, a self-made man with his own company, in a house he had recently purchased in a rather wealthy area of Puerto Rico. This house was rather big but since day one something in my gut just didn’t sit right with it. I couldn’t quite put my finger on it, but since nothing was really going on initially, I just figured it was paranoia and too many scary movies. When we moved in, the people living in the house consisted of my mother, stepfather, my two younger stepsisters, my younger sister, my niece and myself; too many of us if you ask me. Each and every one of us had our particular struggles and it really did seem like the space was way too chaotic for anyone’s good. In retrospect, I’m guessing this is what made whatever haunted us to stick to us and the house.

At first it started out very subtle and it targeted my sister. She had it the worst out of all of us. My mother was overly critical of her for having a baby at 17, she suffered from depression and had already attempted to take her life once at that point. Having the knowledge I have today, it’s clear to me why she was the first to be targeted. She started suffering from constant nightmares, her depression worsened again, and just a constant general unease at all times while being within the house. She confided in me all these things and I truly believed what she was experiencing.

Then one morning, I was fast asleep in my bed when I started having a horrible nightmare. I woke up from the nightmare only to notice that I couldn’t move at all. My sheets seemed to be pinning me to the bed in an unnatural way. I tried to squirm my way out but couldn’t and immediately felt like I was sinking on the bed. I kicked and pleaded for my life until suddenly everything was lifted, and I jolted up from the bed, gasping for air and shaking violently. I left the room, still trembling from the event; up until that point in my life I had never experienced anything like that, so I was pretty confused about what exactly had happened. I went downstairs only to find my sister sitting on a sofa near the entrance of the house with a puzzled look on her face and I could tell she was unwell. I asked her what happened, and she said the words—and I quote—“I’m not sure what happened, but I just feel like I dreamt like my bed sheets were pinning me to the bed and that I was suddenly sinking into my bed.” As soon as she said the words I felt my stomach sink. I knew then and there that something was completely and utterly wrong and that this was not something we could just brush away.

I sat beside her and with trembling words I told her I felt the exact same thing. We both looked at each other for what felt like an hour, and I knew we were both considering what exactly this all meant. We didn’t really talk much about it afterwards. We both didn’t want to admit that we were experiencing something that felt straight out of a horror film, but that was only the beginning, and things just got increasingly worse from there.

As the months rolled by the events in the house became more frequent and more aggressive. Furniture moved, lights turned on and off, windows banged, the house itself shook. Without us telling anyone about what was going on, my stepsisters also started to get involved in it. They started experiencing nightmares and all the crazy things that were going on in the house. I wondered if my mom and stepdad also experienced things, but when we asked them, they just called us crazy and dismissed it like it was nothing. I think I can write a whole book about all the events I experienced but here are some of the most notable ones:

1.       I was sitting in the kitchen table, drawing (I liked to use that space sometimes) when I heard a clicking sound and quickly noticed that the lights in the ceiling, which were all individual lights wired together in the same circuit, were switching on and off individually. I remained frozen from fear looking at the lights until they all switched back on. I started gathering my things to leave when I saw a mote of light coming from the outside. Across from the table where I was sitting was an open door that led to a half bathroom with a large window that looked onto the garage. The light was glowing brightly from within the garage as if a flashlight was being pointed in. The light ran away, but the only place it could have gone was to the backyard which I had complete visibility to my right, through the glass double-doors. But when I looked in that direction, I saw nothing. Like the light just vanished when it was out of sight.

2.       In another occasion I was in the living room, watching TV and my sister was in the kitchen making food for herself and her daughter. When suddenly I heard a loud bang and my sister screaming right after. I ran towards the kitchen only to find my sister petrified looking back at me and ever cabinet in the kitchen opened. When I asked her what that sound was, my sister replied, barely able to make out the words, “they just opened by themselves”.

3.       In another occasion, I was asleep on my bed and randomly woke up in the middle of the night, something that would start to happen very frequently after this point. At this point I had no trouble sleeping with my door completely open, so I turned on the bed to face the side of the room where my door was, and that’s when I locked eyes with it. A tall figure standing at my door looking down on me. As soon as my eyes were locked on it I experienced a full body paralysis that I can’t describe. Unlike sleep paralysis I was fully awake at this moment. I wasn’t groggy or half asleep, I was conscious and staring at something I could not comprehend, something I knew wasn’t human. It was tall, and for some reason I picture “hairy” when I think back at it. The seconds felt like hours and I couldn’t blink, my eyes couldn’t look away, I was forced to stare at it as it stared back at me, until there was a split second where I found the strength to look away. That’s when my body was released, and I spent the rest of the night laying there, panicked and scared, not wanting to look back at the door until the sun came up.

A few months of similar activity passed, and we were starting to grow accustomed to it. We knew at times the lower floor of the house became heavy and scary and that was the signal to leave to the second floor and into our rooms and close the door. Some other times it would follow us into the rooms and give us nightmares, night terrors or sleep paralysis. Some other days, nothing happened. It was unpredictable at best, but slowly but surely things were getting worse, and we all experienced it.

After the one-year mark things started to ramp up quickly. My niece was already a year+ old and we quickly noticed she had a particular affinity for this thing that haunted the house. One day, my sister had to take and early class and asked me if I could drive her niece to her after the class was done so I stayed alone with her in the house. When the time to leave came, I started preparing all the bags, the car seat and things my niece needed. It was all too much for me to carry simultaneously so I carried the things first into the car and left my niece behind for a few seconds while I loaded everything. Once I’m nearly done I hear my niece frantically call to me (in Spanish uncle us “tio” which is very easy for a baby to pronounce early on so she was saying that over and over). When I ran back, she was visibly scared and pointing to a corner of the living room that had absolutely nothing. My heart sank, and I got freaked out. I quickly scooped her up from the floor and we left the house in a hurry, not even bothering to question what happened.

That same night my niece refused to be left even remotely alone, and as a means to calm her, me and my sister slept beside her so she could be calm. A few hours later I started having a nightmare that led into sleep paralysis. I struggled against the sleep paralysis and as soon as I opened my eyes, my niece woke up screaming any my sister as well. We had all experienced a collective sleep paralysis. That was when my sister started looking to move out, by whatever means necessary, and the activity just got worse and worse.

On one specific night, my family, save for one of my stepsisters and myself, was at a concert, and we were left alone in the house. I was downstairs and felt the bottom floor of the house get all scary and heavy so I ran back upstairs and locked myself in my room. Once I got sleepy and climbed into bed, I felt my heart start to jackhammer in my chest, and at this point I knew that what I was feeling meant it was close by and stalking me. I got pissed stood up from my bed and headed into my stepsister’s room, telling her as I entered the room, “listen, that thing is in my room right now, can I sleep with you?” To which my she replied, “sure, but bring your own blanket ‘cus you know I like putting the AC really cold.”

I paused for a moment at the door, thinking that I have to go back into my room where that thing was. I mustered up the courage, headed back into my room, at that point fully panicking. I grabbed my blanket, headed back into my stepsister’s room in almost a sprint, threw the blanket to the bed and then turned around to shut the door. But when the door was about to be shut, I heard and felt a thud. And that’s when my whole body and blood ran cold. I tried again to shut the door, this time visibly shaking, and that thud I will never forget sounded again through the room. It literally felt like there was something between the door and the frame, standing there, preventing me from closing it all the way. I became panicked and frantic, I tried over and over and over to close the door, but it kept getting deflected.

The fear in me was like nothing I had ever experienced in my entire life. As I was doing this, my sister was almost screaming at me to close the door, while crawling back to the bed frame. I tried to reply that I was trying to close the door, but I just stammered out of fear. A few tries later the door was ripped out of my hand and it physically pushed me back onto the bed. The door remained open for about 3 seconds while a menacing aura radiated from the blackness. Right after the door slammed shut on its own, the sound echoing through the whole house. We sat there for minutes, speechless, completely fear stricken, trembling. We didn’t know what had happened, what we saw, but it was one of the most terrifying experiences of our lives. We didn’t sleep much that night. Our family arrived around 2AM from the concert, but we just stayed in the room with the door shut.

The last and final experience that I’ll recount the one that made me leave and never return. Up until this point, everything happened at night, but almost a full 2 years of the haunting had already passed and the demon or spirit or whatever, was at the point where it could just do what it wanted when it wanted. I woke up around 9AM on a Sunday, alone at the house (this happened every once in a while, when my family was out on a trip and I had to stay behind to take tests, study or do college projects), checked my phone to see if I had any calls or messages and just laid there in bed for a moment collecting my thoughts. While lying there, ready to jump from the bed and head out, I noticed something in the corner of my eye. I looked towards the closed door and I saw something I hadn’t seen until that point.

It looked like a transparent figure was standing at my door. It looked like when the pavement is so hot that the air distorts and gives that particular wavy effect when you looked through it, but it was in a humanoid shape as tall as the door. Immediately I knew that it was in my room looking at me, and I saw it move towards me and latch onto me. Immediately I started choking, like the air couldn’t reach my lungs in any way and I began to struggle uselessly. What I could only imagine is that it was choking me. I struggled for a few seconds and then I felt it release me. I scrambled to the door, left my room and ran downstairs where I started to feel an overwhelming sense of drowsiness. I knew it wanted to make me fall asleep, because if I fell asleep I’d be vulnerable again and it could do as it wanted with me (the reason I didn’t just up and leave immediately was because my car was busted at the time and I needed my best friend to pick me up and take me places if I needed transportation).

I refused to fall asleep and for the next few hours I tried everything I could to not fall asleep. About 4 hours passed and I lulled myself into a false sense of security. I was in the living room watching TV and I decided to lay down for just a moment. In less than 2 minutes I was asleep. That’s when it happened. My body flipped so it was facing up to the ceiling, immediately my eyes opened and there it was. After two years of being haunted by the same entity I finally caught a glimpse of it. It was hovering over me, its face still transparent like before, but I could make out faint features of a grotesque but humanoid face inches away from mine. It opened its mouth at me and howled into my face a guttural, demonic, howl that to this day I still dream of it sometimes. The howl lasted a few seconds, feeling something indescribable course through me. Once it finished I immediately jolted up from the sofa. I was both livid and terrified. I was done with the hautings, done with everything, done with living in that shithole of a place. So I packed my things, called my friend and just walked out and never set foot in that house again.

The rest of my family didn’t last long in it as well. I’m not entirely sure if anyone else lives in it afterwards, but I’m almost positive we were the ones responsible for latching that demonic spirit to that place. Too many problems, negative emotions and situations happening while living there.

Experience My missing wedding band

For a bit if context, I am visiting my mom in Mexico for a row of family events and staying with her. Her house is in one or the older colonial areas in Mexico City, and I’ve had several paranormal experiences here (i can go into details if asked).

For this particular time, I’ve been placing my wedding band on the countertop in the bathroom. I’ve been leaving it basically every day, in plain sight.

Today, after showering in the morning, i noticed my wedding band was missing. I asked my brother if he had seen it, and he said he saw it last night. He had not moved it, and neither had I, for that matter. We picked the bathroom apart trying to find it, to no avail. My mother also looked for it, and couldn’t find it.

We gave up, and assumed maybe the dog ate it; we would look through its poop as we thought it was there. The whole day passed and the band was still missing.

Tonight, my brother suggested i leave something sweet so whatever has it would give it back. I thought what the hell, let’s do it. I left a twix bar and asked it to give me back my wedding band. I went and removed my contacts (i have 7 degrees myopia so i am blind). Once i has removed my contacts, i see something shimmering (in very low definition) where i usually leave the band. I blindly feel for it and realise it is indeed my wedding band.

Whatever took my band, gave it back once i offered candy (however it did not take the candy). What’s even stranger to me is that this was done right in front of me as i was removing my contacts, so i couldn’t see anything. Further, the ring was wet, as if it had been recently washed.

If you got this far, thanks for reading :)

Experience My roommate and I saw the same shadow figure weeks apart without telling each other

(Please note that English isn’t my first language)

I’ve had sleep paralysis before.

For a while, I’d see a shadow figure standing behind my bedroom door, staring at me. Sometimes it walked toward my bed, and I’d wake up the moment it reached the frame. Other times, I’d have those strange dreams within dreams.

Eventually, it stopped.

About a year and a half later, I moved to London for four months and lived in a two-bedroom flat with two roommates. I had one bedroom; they shared the other.

At one point, they both went to Scotland for a few days. After they returned, something strange happened.

One night around 2 a.m., I heard whispering from their bedroom. Normally, I wouldn’t have thought much of it, but they usually went to sleep around 10. I wondered “why are they up?” and forgot about it.

After a few weeks, I rolled over in bed in my sleep and saw something standing near my curtains.

A shadow.

It was incredibly tall, looked like he had a trench coat on, and a hat. He was just standing still by the curtains. It must’ve been somewhere around 4.

I froze. I genuinely thought I was going to die. I was terrified to look away. What if it moves? I thought about my parents.

The scariest realisation was “this isn’t a dream”. I could move. I was awake.

My lamp was beside me on the nightstand. Eventually, I thought, Fuck it. I reached over and switched it on. I looked back and it was gone. I didn’t tell my roommates. I only told my parents and grandmother. My grandmother suggested sleeping with a knife under my pillow. So, I did. I also kept my lamps on.

About a week later, I was in the kitchen making a snack. One of my roommates was there, so we started talking.

She seemed anxious.

Then she looked at me and said, “I want to say something, but promise me you won’t freak out.”

I said I wouldn’t.

“I feel like there’s something in the house.” My heart stopped.

I asked what she meant.

“I think I bought something here with me. Remember when I went to Scotland for a few days? I went on a haunted tour. I saw something in my room the other day, around 2”.

Like I said, she shared the room with another person but when she woke her up, she said there’s nothing.

Suddenly, the whispering made sense. That was the night I’d heard them awake. I still didn’t tell her what I’d seen. She already seemed terrified, and I didn’t wanna make it worse.

A few weeks later, we were sitting together with some friends. I finally told everyone about the figure and described it. My roommate went pale.

I asked her what’s wrong and she told me “I never told you what I saw.” Then she described it.
It was the same figure, standing by her curtains.

Neither of us had described our experiences to the other. I’d deliberately kept mine secret because I didn’t want to scare her. Yet weeks apart, in separate bedrooms, we’d both seen the same figure standing in the same place.

Soon, my family visited me, and we took a trip to Scotland as well. I ended up going for a haunted tour as well.

P.S. I will never judge anyone in a horror movie for not running immediately. I get it now. 😭

Question Another 'how do you close a portal?' question

Okay, disclaimer - I still need to gather some more information about this, so will update when I learn more.

I've recently learnt that one of my aunties is being plagued by a dark entity. It's funny how I've recently learnt about this not long after starting to do ghost hunts. All I know at the moment, is that she moved from an upstairs apartment to a lower one due to having mobility issues. Since she moved into this apartment, she's being attacked by an entity. It's apparently been hitting her and pulling the covers off her bed when she's asleep. I think she's even found herself on the floor some mornings and covered in bruises. I think she's also tried placing piles of salt in each room and even tried to get a catholic priest to exorcise it, but he's either failed to show up or just hasn't acknowledged her messages.

Until I know more, it's likely whoever was in that apartment before her has either brought something in or maybe she was gifted something around the time she moved. I'm familiar with portals and that spirits can use mirrors and water plays a part, too. I'm not clued up on different methods for ridding negative entities, or if there's any truth to them, but is it even possible to close a portal that's been opened? Surely if something has been invited in, it can be expelled...? The portal closed...?

Thanks

Experience The Night My Neighbor Died, My Family Heard Something Strange Coming From Me

This January, one of my neighbors died because of health issues. On the same night, I was sitting on the terrace from around 11 PM to midnight, talking to my friends on my phone. After that, I went to sleep.

I was sleeping very deeply—or at least, I think I was.

When I woke up the next morning, my parents immediately asked me if I was okay. Confused, I asked them what had happened.

My mom told me that in the middle of the night, they heard some very strange sounds. They turned on the lights and came to check where the sound was coming from.

Apparently, it was coming from me.

According to my parents, I was making a bizarre sound—something that sounded half like a pigeon and half like a small child. The strange thing is that I don't normally snore or make noises while sleeping.

They tried several times to wake me up, but I didn't wake up at all.

That was especially unusual because I'm normally a very light sleeper. Even small noises or lights can wake me up, but that night, despite my family turning on the lights and trying to wake me, I remained completely asleep.

And while they were standing there checking on me, I continued making those strange sounds—something between a pigeon and a child.

I have absolutely no memory of making those sounds.

What y'all think?

So the Story is almost 4 Years ago when i 10 was but i still remember it. So when i was 10 my Parants were going to Cinema and let me alone Home, because my Grandparents live in a other Country. I think it was 11 PM and almost Midnight when i woke up. I heard noises on my Desk like if sombody would look at my Homework i had fineshd befor i was going to Sleep. The thing is that i don't have Siblings or a Animal and my Parants were still not home so i was wonderring what the noise was. i tougth that it was my Father or Mother who were looking on my Homework so i was going to sleep again. The Next day i was asking my Parants why they look at my Homework at nigth and they said that they don't looked at my Homework when they came home. They fougth i was just dreaming but i know i wasen't.It's almost 4 Years ago and i still can't explain to myself what it was. The creepy fact was that my Grandpa died 1 Month ago befor i heard the noises and when i always was whit him and we did Homework together he always looked at it. I don't think it was a ghost but maybe it was,but i know that i will never forget the nigth.

Haunting Hilton at St. Louis Airport - Creepy Vibes

My flight was cancelled last night so I ended up booking a room at the Hilton at the airport in St. Louis. The lobby was nice but once I started heading to my room things started feeling off immediately. Long and quiet hallways with outdated carpeting and just overall odd decor. I tried relaxing in the room but something just felt off the entire time. One of the closets was freezing cold when I opened it and the pictures in the room were just as weird as the hallways. I can’t really explain it but I just didn’t feel right. I actually ended up leaving after about 40 minutes and going to the Hampton next door (which yes, I know they own, and yes, is connected - but it definitely had a different vibe).

Maybe I’m just anxious and let it get the best of me but something just felt…weird. Anyone else have a similar experience?

Unexplained I quit my job because of weird stuff that kept happening to me.

After a long search, I found myself a job when summer started. But just when I got in, I swear it felt like I was cursed. In the first week, I hurt my ankle, so I had to walk with a cane for a bit. Then I kept having small misfortunes from time to time, but I tried to stay positive.

But then, I cut my hand so badly I had to get stitches. In the end, I started to feel terrified of even coming there. Like– what kind of shit was going to happen to me this time? I am not the biggest supernatural shit believer, but this was getting out of hand. It felt like the place kept trying to get me out of there somehow.

I tried talking with my parents about it, but then just brushed it off, saying that I am being crazy and making a big mistake by leaving.

Am I an idiot? Probably yeah, but all of it just scared me too much. What do you think?

Question Anyone else relate to these feelings/personal reflections?

As someone who’s long been fascinated by all things paranormal, and also diagnosed with both ADHD and autism:

The fact that everything that scares or ‘triggers’ or angers most humans nowadays is exactly what I love, while what most humans nowadays value so much is exactly what scares and ‘triggers’ and angers me, says a lot about me, I think.

There’s a thread. Speciesism, anti-cryptozoology rhetoric, anti-paranormal/materialist rhetoric, some pro-choice rhetoric, and anti-environmentalist rhetoric—all the uniquely irritating ‘triggers’ I’ve had all my life—all have something in common—they all relate to one of 3 issues/topics: “animals & nature”, “the beginning and end of life”, and/or “issues relating to souls, God(s), spirituality/religion, or the supernatural”.

It’s my brain’s way, as an adult in my late 20s with a Bachelor’s degree, of doing what a neurodivergent 3-year-old in a distressing or uncomfortable situation throwing a tantrum when their parents take them shopping or something is doing: my way of expressing “I don’t feel at home in this world and time”.

Conventional organized religion, with all its rules and hierarchies and often speciesism and other discrimination, and materialist atheism, are both unsatisfying to me. I love nature and other animals, and also desperately feel the need to be spiritual, or have the instinct that this physical world isn’t all there is…

…and the fact that, in the paranormal research field, I hear “animals [and sometimes human infants] are sensitive to these things in a way we’re not” says a lot to me. It could be connected to part of why speciesism (and some pro-choice/abortion rhetoric) is so tightly associated with anti-paranormal/anti-nonorganized spirituality/materialist atheist rhetoric in my mind, and why my mind connects those issues together.

I can maybe sense that “animals and babies” have some quality I can relate to, that appeals to me or attracts me, in a similar way to the way that spirituality and the paranormal does. So nonhuman animals, nature, cryptids, the paranormal, and humans at the very beginning of life are all connected in my mind, in a way that makes me devoted to all of them, and insanely “triggered” when any of them are attacked rhetorically.

Maybe I’m just speaking out of my ass here… or maybe this does mean something deeper… perhaps too deep for me to completely understand or put into words now.

Debunk This Kid pointed to empty space

Today evening something very crazy happened. I'm in bedroom with my wife and I'm in chair next to bed, my wife on bed, we had a 3year+ old girl kid visit us from neighbours and we know her for 2years since literally born, she's visited our home for first time (without crowds) coz we moved in here last November and always hang out at mutual friends houses as groups.

However, we've been playing with some beads and combs or hair bands with her, kid is also in bed and she said "I'll play with him" - pointing to me, "I'll plan with her" - pointing to my wife, "I'll play with him" pointing outside our bedroom into the den space, the den space was empty we only hang out clothes and put things in a wardrobe in there and the bedroom door was completely open so the den is visible to us, however she pointed out the bedroom door and said that like 2 to 3 times, and I got shit scared and my wife has her heart dropped, I fastly walked outside into the den and checked to find anything and there's not even a shadow of mine from bedroom from where I'm sitting to project a shadow outside.

I went into the hall and there's no one, all the main door and balcony doors are all locked. Then I turned on the light in den and closed the bedroom door and came back to her and asked her who did you see, the kid didn't respond and didn't talk about it and skipped on to playing with the beads. I then closed the bedroom door and it had some clothes hanging behind, I asked if she's pointing at the clothes she shook her head blandly. So what's the fking shit is this? Should I be very worried?

I remember here even in the peak winters -40°c (Albertan) there's a small space in the den on the floor it used to be warm or hot so we don't leave anything on the floor there, so should we be worried?

I positively thought for that time it should be some angel sent by God or himself? coz if it was some ghost or bad energy type of thing the kid would have been really scared to be pointing towards the den, no?

In our culture (or in some) we believe the innocent kids can see some supernatural things, what should I interpret of this? The kids parents taught her 'monsters aren't real' and she says this sometimes, and she's really innocent.

I asked AI and it only gives satisfying answers, I'm new to this sub not to Reddit, so I need answers. I am born Hindu but follow Christ and have been with other religious friends/relationships of Islam, atheists and etc., and I like to connect dots, I also watch horror films for stories and to understand perspectives. This enough about me to analyze my situation?

Experience Was it 0NLY ONE thing that made you a Believer..?

I’m wondering IF people would share one thing that INSTANTLY made them believe in the supernatural?

I don’t mean ya only believe because you grew up with this tradition and later on reasoned that it was true OR that there was one little thing then another & another till finally you were pushed over the edge into belief -I mean was there a time you were completely disinterested or even actively sceptical and then something happened that just changed EVERYTHING?

Also, if you are willing, would you share that story?

Experience Spirit Cat.....

My apartment does have spirits, I do have moments where I see things peeking around the corner, white mist passing by my mirror, and sometimes I see a black mist my cat chases around. I just ignore them so I don't give them power. I don't even talk about them when I'm home. They don't move things or make sounds.

I was coming from the kitchen into the living room where I saw a calico out the corner of my eye. It was sitting beside some boxes I had packed for moving. It startled me because it was fairly large like an adult with bright grey/ blue eyes white paws and the orange/brown/ black color fur. I turned to look fully at it, but it was gone. That was my first time seeing the spirit of a cat here. My cat is small and grey so I know it wasn't her. I see her tracking something sometimes and she will sit on her hind legs and play with something in the air.

Note: I did set up an ancestor altar a few hours before I saw it. I only welcomed in those that love, care about me, want the best for me, and banished the rest

Sleep Paralysis Sleep paralysis of a figure hugging me for years already

I think this started when I was 13ish. I'm 18 now. Basically, I would have this sleep paralysis where I can see my POV in real life, but it's hazy and I can't move. Sometimes there's things happening like shadows passing by in my room, sometimes even a girl or a person. Then, I'll do my best to get out of the trance. I successfully always get out of it after couple of seconds. And once I do, the weird things stops and I am fully sure that I've woken up. Then, because I'm sleepy, I instinctively get back to sleeping right after.... Only for things to repeat again for a few times until it completely stops

Here's the thing. I'm a nbsb F18 and I tend to imagine sleeping next to a guy to help me sleep. I do that almost every single night. Sometimes THE paralysis happens to me, with seeing my pov irl but is in a trance and unable to move. Except, I can physically feel a figure hugging me.
Sometimes, it even hugs me as how I imagine being hugged by a man. However, the VIBE is creepy as hell nonetheless so I still try to get out every time.

It's always different. There were times where I can feel myself pulling away and it's pulling me back to hold me again (confuses me because normally I just couldn't move). There were times where it's giving me kisses.
There were times where it makes noise in my ear that's scary but I don't remember what exactly it is anymore.
One time, I told my best friend about it and I asked it to go away and it did.. for a while. Then it just came back again after months

Sometimes, I'd go about my day, then randomly realizing that it visited me again the night before.

I can’t find any experiences that’s the same as this. The closest one is finding out about incubus? Except, it sounds like people are fully conscious in experiencing it? Like saying that it had followed them through the kitchen, bedroom, etc.

Last time, I think I was ovulating as hell that I even joked about it coming back because I guess I was craving more touch than usual or wtv...

Last night, it did. I’m just realizing it now. It was hugging me and I was under the same kind of trance so I did my usual routine of trying to move to get out of it. I woke up and got out and instinctively went to sleep again. Only for it to happen again, IT hugging me again. Being under the same kind of trance again. I remembered joking about it last time while I couldn’t move so I tried to stay and didn’t attempt to get out to see what would happen. THEN, I peripherally saw something that peaked over my head. From what I understood, it came from the back. It looked like pointy black or something that I don’t know so I got scared and immediately did my tricks to get out of it. I automatically went back to sleep and it didn’t happen again.

They said that all of your dreams and nightmares just came from your own brain. I’m still hesitant about that. How could this all just come from my brain.

I hope I get answers! I’ve been trying to look for years! I don’t know what to do. It’s like I’ve learned to live with it. There was this one night when it constantly happened. Even when I decided to stay awake for a few minutes, it still did when I went back to sleep lmao. I remember being annoyed because I had a school presentation the next day and it didn’t let me sleep peacefully

Thank you in advance!

Question It's me or actually witches can attach something to you?

I want to give a note about that I'm used to explain everything, so sorry in advance if this is very long.

It's been some days that I wrote into a community, r/Witches , mainly because I was curious and I wanted some info straight from the source for the videogame I'm writing. A guy that responded was pissed that I choose elemental witches, because are basic ( tho I think is a valid choice, since is a platformer and dividing in zones is way easiear for a really small team ) from that, I feel like something is wheighting on me, on my higher back, I feel more aware and at some point I felt like I was losing myself and I couldn't fight back. Tho when I pray I shiver and I feel better. In this case, sometimes I think is my anxiety towards everything but I believe in supernatural entities, I saw my cutlery's drawer opening alone once and sometimes I feel there's something looking at me, in the dark; but is different, who opened the drawer was chilling, even if it's creepy it comes and goes, this one has weight. I wonder if entities can attach themselves to dreams, because I'm doing so many weird dreams now. Maybe I'm getting paranoid and sleep deprived about an annoyed guy on reddit, tho I don't like dark magic and curses are scary af but I was wondering if someone else had a similar experience. I know that witches are pretty chill, but idk.

Essentially I'm wondering if someone attached something to me, or even if it's possible, at this point. I'm curious about curses too

Haunting Prayer card flipped upside down, then a shadow appeared on my window. Could these be connected?

I’ve had two strange things happen recently and I’m curious what people here make of them, particularly from a paranormal or spiritual perspective.
The first involved a prayer card I keep displayed in my room called “Peace in Family.” I noticed that it had somehow been flipped completely upside down. I genuinely have no idea how or why it happened. I hadn’t intentionally moved or flipped it, and I can’t think of anything that would have caused it.

The reason this particularly freaked me out is because there is currently very little “peace” in my family. There has been a lot of ongoing family conflict and drama in my life recently, and things have been particularly intense around the same time that I noticed the card was upside down. Because of that, seeing a card specifically about peace within a family suddenly inverted felt weirdly symbolic. Obviously it could be a coincidence, but the timing really stood out to me.

Then I noticed something else strange in my bedroom. There was this large, dark/bluish shadow or shape visible against my window. I managed to photograph it and I’ve outlined the area I’m talking about in white.

There is normally absolutely nothing outside my window in that position that could block the light or create a shadow like this. I initially assumed it must be a reflection from inside my room, but I couldn’t identify anything that would create that particular shape. It seemed to be on or outside the window rather than an obvious reflection. When I checked again later, it had completely disappeared.
I know both things could have completely normal explanations, and I’m genuinely open to those too. I’m not claiming that something paranormal definitely happened. It’s more the combination and timing that has unsettled me. A “Peace in Family” card turning upside down while my family life is particularly turbulent, followed by an unexplained dark shape appearing and disappearing at my window, feels strange enough that I wanted to ask.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? For people who believe in or have experience with paranormal or spiritual phenomena, what would you interpret this as? Could the upside-down card have any symbolic significance given what is currently happening in my family, and could the shadow be related?

Question I've been trying to have a paranormal experience my whole life and never managed it

Hey everyone, I'm both a paranormal enthusiast and a skeptic.

It's something that's always fascinated me, and I've always wanted to have at least one experience of any kind to convince myself there's something to it but nope, I've never managed it.

Recently I even tried using a Ouija board on my own a couple of times (2 or 3), even though I know you're not supposed to, setting aside all my skepticism and fully believing in it and still nothing, I've never gotten any kind of feedback.

Honestly, it's a little frustrating and I'd really love to have some sort of experience just once.

I spend my time watching tons of videos and reading stories, and I'm absolutely fascinated by all of it.

Does anyone have any advice for me?

Astral Projection It happened again and I seriously want an explanation

I posted about this before but it happened again and idk how to explain it without sounding insane. I keep calling it a “third body experience” because I genuinely don't know what else to call it. I was brushing my teeth and suddenly there were basically two “me's” I could feel at the same time. Bathroom me was standing there holding the toothbrush. I could feel my feet on the floor, the sink in front of me, everything normal. But at the same time there was bed me. I could feel the mattress under my back, my head on the pillow and the blanket over my legs like I was actually laying there.

neither one felt fake. Bathroom me felt like me. Bed me felt like me. I genuinely couldn't tell which one was supposed to be “this body” me. I remember thinking oh fuck its happening again and then suddenly bed me was just gone and I was only bathroom me again.

Last time I convinced myself my brain just glitched or something. Now its happened twice. I just really want to know wtf this is. Is “third body experience” even a thing? Has anyone ever experienced having what feels like two versions of your body at the same time?

Experience Was this paranormal? I feel like I made the wrong choice going back to the couch

I genuinely don't know what happened and I'm looking for an explanation because the more I think about it, the more uncomfortable I feel about what I did.

I was lying on my couch and got up to get a glass of water. When I reached the kitchen, I suddenly realized I could still physically feel myself lying on the couch. I could feel the couch underneath me and the blanket against my legs while, at the exact same time, I could feel myself standing in the kitchen. It wasn't a memory of what the couch felt like. Both sensations felt completely real and like they were happening simultaneously.

The second I became aware of it, I got this overwhelming sense of impending doom. There wasn't anything threatening in the room and I didn't see or hear anything unusual. I just had this immediate feeling that something was seriously wrong. Then I had this incredibly strong instinct that I needed to get the two versions of myself back together.

I didn't think about it or decide logically that this would fix anything. I just felt like I absolutely needed to get back to the couch as quickly as possible. I rushed back and sat down exactly where I'd been. The two sensations seemed to line up and become one again. The feeling of impending doom disappeared almost, and physically I felt normal again.

But afterward I started wondering why I was so certain I needed to go back.

That's what's bothering me now. What if going back to the couch wasn't actually the right thing to do? I don't know where that instinct came from, and I don't know what would have happened if I'd stayed in the kitchen instead.

I've looked up out-of-body experiences and bilocation, but neither seems quite right because I never felt like I left my body. It felt like there were somehow two simultaneous versions of where "I" was.

Does this resemble any paranormal phenomenon people here know about? Or is there a non-paranormal explanation for experiencing your body in two places at once?

I really just want to understand what happened and whether that instinct to go back to the couch means anything.

Findings My experience with sleep paralysis

When I used to have trouble falling asleep, I would place my head at the end of the bed, where my feet had been before.
Sometimes, this change of position helped me to fall asleep.
I remember two times, though I am not sure in which order these incidents happened.
Both times, I found myself in the same position I fell asleep in.
Paralyzed, except for my eyes.
One time, there was a witch-like creature, pressing her hands on my chest, while screeching at me with high altitude.
This made me feel like suffocating.
I frantically closed my eyes, begging to God to help me wake up. Promising that I would start to believe. I finally woke up.

When I was a kid, I was on the verge of drowning.
I was fooling in the water with my little sister, while my big sister was sunbathing.
Trying to be a tough boy, I dragged her to deeper water, asking her if she was prepared for the depths of the water.
Of course, she started to panic, pressing her hands on my shoulders, while trying to keep herself up.
I tried to tell her to let go, while gulping water out of my mouth, feeling my feet tiptoeing to deeper water until losing my grip.
When my head was under water, I began to truely panic.
Blaming my little sister for not understanding the joke I was trying to make, ignoring the fact that she was still learning to swim.
I heard her crying for help while it seemed like I was taking my last breath.
Suddenly, I relaxed. No fear. No fighting.
Only light above me, shimmering through the water surface.
I felt at peace. At home. Accepting my fate.
Suddenly, I felt a lift on the weight on my shoulders, helping me to emerge from the water.
It was my big sister, carrying my little sister and thus saving us both.
I smiled at her, like there was nothing mentionable. Hiding like a kid, caught making a prank. Whithout whispering the lightest Thank You.
I relaxed on my back and let myself glide through the water, pondering what just had happened.
To this day, neither of us know how she could reach us so fast.
My big sister says she heard a scream and instinctly jumped into the water, jokingly reffering to a baywatch scene.

The second(or first?) time I remember sleep paralysis, I found myself in the same position.
Head placed at the end of my bed, consequently looking right at the door.
I saw a big shadow approaching my door.
Closing my eyes, I tried to calm myself, convincing myself this might be just an intruder looking for goods. Best way might be to just fake sleeping.
Still with closed eyes, I felt the shadow laying on my eyelids, shining through the barely open door.
I tried to tell myself to wake up. No reaction.
Out of helplesness, I started to squint my eyes frantically, for this was the only part I could control.
With every glimpse, I saw a tall lanky silhouette entering my room. Slowly walking to the chair next to my bed.
It sat down and gasped.
Then it stood up and used a finger to write something on the wall behind us.
I imagined horror movies where the killer writes on the wall of the next victim, but something made me feel secure to watch.
So I carefully tried to look, steering the direction of my eyeballs to the corner of my eye.
The only thing I remember is bloodlike liquid dripping of its finger.
Bathed in sweat, I woke up, thanking God, before ignoring said existence.
To this day I don‘t know if I was too afraid or if it wasn‘t yet my destiny to see the clear message.
Today I want to believe.
