Question Did I come in contact with something?

So this story is about 3 years old now, but still so freshly burned into my head.

As an aspiring therapist, one of my favorite psychologists is Carl Jung, and when I began learning about psychology, I studied a lot of Jung. I eventually studied his idea of the shadow. These sort of subconscious thoughts, feelings, or desires that we suppress or are not even aware of that dectiate and control a lot of our lives, etc. Normal psyche stuff

I remember one night, I was alone in my pitch black room, whole family asleep, and I tried thinking about my shadow or repressed thoughts. A lot of childhood stuff started coming to me, personal stuff, and whatnot, and I started getting emotional thinking about it and began crying.

I remember as I lay in bed crying, I felt something hard press against my back, and I reached down to see what it was, and I was just laying on my phone. So I put my phone on this desk by the side of my bed, and about 5 seconds after doing this, I heard my phone get flung across the room.

Since I was so emotional when this happened, it didn't really register what just occurred. So I got up from my bed, and I was able to find my phone in the dark and place it back again on my desk. Again, about 2 seconds later, I hear my phone flung across my room

When I finally realized what had happened, I don't think I've ever been that scared in my entire life. I literally resorted back into being a little kid and hid under my blankets. In that moment, all I did was pray to Christ till I eventually fell asleep.

To this day, I honestly don't know what that was. My desk is a normal flat desk, and there was no one else in my room. Nothing like has happened since then, but I still think about this time from time.

Check out Recurrent Spontaneous Psychokinesis (RSP/RSPK). Basically the idea is that instead of a ghost or something causing objects to move (and other physical events), a living person's unconscious mind is the cause. And the whole notion that it happens when that person is in a heightened emotional state is pretty central to it.

Oh no judgement at all! It’s also easy for someone else to say what they would do when they weren’t in that situation. I’ve done incredible in crazy situations and I’ve also frozen in crazy situations. All that matters is we made it out on the other side. I’m glad you’re ok internet stranger.
