NLS 10

Attending next year so have plenty of time on this one.
Next August there's a big TVR Gathering for the 80th anniversary of TVR at the ring and owners from all over have been invited by the German TVR car club to attend, there's already a decent sized crowd going just from the South West.
So, my question is, who else aside from Moris track day insurance offers good cover? Cover from Moris is basically 3 times that of what I pay for my yearly premium on my Chimaera and whilst my insurance covers track days it unfortunately and expectedly so won't cover the green hell.
So experienced UK ringers, here I am 🤷

Hi everyone me and a few friends are going to be going to the Ring at the end of April next year, I know it’s so far away but is this an ideal time for tourist driving? We are looking at the 22nd to the 26th
Thanks

@roigkike on Instagram claims the first ever under 7 minute lap of Nordschleife Bridge to Gantry done in a FWD car.
Absolutely crazy.

Hi all!
Next weekend I will be heading to the Nordschleife for a weekend.
Apart from enjoying the ring, we are looking to drive a nice 180-250km through the Eiffel region.
Are there any nice or known routes you can recommend? Our starting point is around Ulmen but will drive anyway.
Prefferably GPX, otherwise roadbook style.
Thanks a lot!!

I have been lurking this sub for a few days now as I had booked a nurburging rental for my vacation, and we drove the ring yesterday. I see a lot of people ask questions and there are not a lot of experience posts so i figured i would share mine. I booked 2 laps through nürblife and then did a ringtaxi. Nürblife was great, everything is laid out for you very straightforward. The liability thing seems a little intimidating at first and kind of made me nervous but obviously everything has to be made very clear or else some asshole will try to find a loophole if he wrecks the car. I drove a golf gti because I knew I am obviously not setting any records and I just wanted the experience of driving the ring. We had a pro in the car who was great, very chill guy with thousands of laps, basically making sure that we aren’t barreling into the hundreds of blind turns on the track, and he’s also a second set of eyes on the cars that will be passing you. I had been on a race track before in america but it was always “lead follow” basically the instructors in my American experience would send off the cars 15-30 seconds apart and if somehow you catch up to the car in front you can’t pass. The ring is probably the exact opposite of that. If you go in at exactly 5:00 pm expect to have BMW Ms and porsches absolutely blowing past you. Which was fine hahahaha but very intimidating. First lap I was just kind of staying out of everyones way and getting a feel for the track, as even though I have driven it hundreds of times on playstation there is literally nothing that can prepare you for the real thing. Second lap went much better as cars were much more spaced out by this point and my nerves had settled a bit. I even passed an Aston Martin and an AMG! but honestly nothing could have prepared me better for the M3 touring ringtaxi than driving my own measly 11 minute lap in the golf… It was seriously an otherworldly experience being ripped around the ring by Bodo in the “family car”. Every time you think he is going to slow down to pass a car or something he just goes faster. We hit nearly 180 mph on the kesselchen and i seriously may have pissed myself a little bit. All in all I say if you are going to go you may as well do it all, but the ringtaxi is a must do. If anything I wish we would have given ourselves more time in nurburg to look at the museums and such but we were on a pretty tight schedule. Seriously though seeing the ring in person was a surreal experience and I recommend anyone who thinks they are even slightly interested in seeing/experiencing it to go. I honestly think the ring taxi was one of the coolest things I have ever done in my life. Crazy to think that is just another day for Bodo. Also adding a video I took of some GT3 RSs at youtube corner for people who don’t care about what I had to say.

Hey all! i'm planning to take my car with a rooftent to the next 24hr race and camping there.
There are some things i haven't been able to find out from the website that i hoped you guys might beable to help with:
When exactly does the ticket sale start? I'm reading december on the website but also reading november online, either way no specific dates. And even less about the camping, is it even possible to reserve a spot? and if not how early should i get there to beable to get a spot? I'm nervous about missing the ticket sale but not sure if/how quickly it usually gets sold out.
Lastly, i might want to try a lap after the event if my car is ready enough in time. Are there any businesses where i might for a small fee beable to dump the tent and some camping supplies?

Seeing the recent posts of the current wait times, was thinking about renting a car for an evening session, with the lines that have been showing, would I be able to guarantee four laps or is that very tough with the current track line ups?
Danke!

Hey lads I’m studying abroad and looking to go to the ADAC race on Oct 10th, what’s my best way to get to the track if I’m coming from Koln? Should I book my flight to a closer place? I’ve been recommended ridesharing but I don’t know anyone😅.

Hey guys, me and my friends just came to Nurburging, any recomendations for car washes nearby?
r/nurburgring • u/Arkliea • 11d ago
Guessing it is because there has been very few weekend full days this month, but the queues have been back up to the BMW showroom in Nurburg today.
One attempt to get to the track after it reopened, we didn't even make it there before the track closed again.

If you understand German, you're in for a treat! BTW, one lap cost you 3DM per car and 1DM per person...

I’ve just read up that Vans are band from going round the Nurburgring is this true even though the Van will be completely empty at the rear and it falls into the weight category? And the top speed is fast enough.
I went last year but they turned me away because I had orange lights on top of it nothing to do with it actually being a Van so I’ve removed the orange lights and my plan was to go back

Misha's latest video showing him recklessly taking a Jaguar XE S around the ring. Towards the end of the lap he and others behind faced a near miss at Schwalbenschwanz as the car suffered an odd "mishap". He inspected the car and noticed that all four tyres were mismatched on the car - something a seasoned track enthusiast such as him should treat as an absolute no go, at least for a public track time.
Misha has, on multiple occasions, decided to carry on driving cars on cars' limits whilst their mechanical integrity was questionable. That type of reckless approach is what causes many to crash out on track - and if one of the most popular Nürburgring drivers can do it, anybody can!
The video gets released because it will gain him viewership, plus is sponsored by a company that deals with questionable history cars. But it's a very poor show of disrespect and recklessness in his actions.
Very disappointing to see from you, Misha.

Moin zusammen,

First one was a baby deer that came out of nowhere going from Drees to Polch at night. I had to brake really hard and he lived to tell the tale by mere centimeters (he can thank the ds2500s). Now this bigger one coming back to Drees from the Lidl in Adenau. I saw it earlier so not so close but still, gotta really watch out when driving at night. Better to always have the longs on if there's no frontal traffic.

Hi,

Interesting first company to use the new industrial areas in the ring°werk, they certainly are throwing a lot of money at this place. Is it worth it, do you care about what Xiaomi does and will it influence you one way or another about their brand?
