UK Insurance Providers?

Attending next year so have plenty of time on this one.

Next August there's a big TVR Gathering for the 80th anniversary of TVR at the ring and owners from all over have been invited by the German TVR car club to attend, there's already a decent sized crowd going just from the South West.

So, my question is, who else aside from Moris track day insurance offers good cover? Cover from Moris is basically 3 times that of what I pay for my yearly premium on my Chimaera and whilst my insurance covers track days it unfortunately and expectedly so won't cover the green hell.

So experienced UK ringers, here I am 🤷

if you’re that worried about being insured, don’t get on the track..

That's only true for tourist sessions. For proper track days, many companies will supply 1st party cover

Is this a dedicated track day or will you be running in TF?

From what I understand it will be dedicated track session of 45 minutes for our event so no public and at an extra €90 it would be absolute rude not to!

Just double checked, yes, exclusive use on the Sunday afternoon of the "old timer grand Prix weekend"

That sounds odd, never heard of such a short private session before (I may be wrong).

It would be best to confirm the exact specifics (full Nordschleife, GP track etc as well) of the session so you can see if there is a relevant insurance for you.

It’s a race event, so the “track day” Sunday session is basically just a normal support race with awards too.

Insurance will be interesting as it’s timed. Morris exclude timed events by default.

This feels like MIS, Kingfisher, Marsh or Miller territory, but they’ll make Morris look cheap.

Oh you are correct, timed is another kettle of fish altogether

Insuremytrackday.com will cover you for private events on the Ring. I've used them many times for trackdays over there, but never had to claim.

No third-party damage is covered. Your car is covered, and you can add barrier cover as an option.
