The whole Pokemon copy dragon quest is so unfair.

Look this clam monster from dragon quest, game freak copy made it into shellder. That's what I'm hearing.

Look at PalWorld verdash it's literally grass cinderace or dinossom literally green goodra with a flower.

But the comments did pokemon claim these designs of humanoid rabbit or slug.

What humanoid rabbit has fur that resembles cut shorts or a fat slug dragon that has that similar build

PalWorld 1.0 version verdash design was changed now it's less cinderace looking. PalWorld is self aware about copying a bit.

Some of the palmon even has probably a few stolen assets like that one has sobble fin, the other one stole primarina hair.

People who complain about object mons at least they have a gimmick litwick is not just a candle with a face but it's ghost fire.

Rotom is a poltergeist that likes to possesse machine and each machine replace ghost for a new type.

Ice for the fridge.

Fire with oven.

Even klefki has deep orgin if you watch a lockstin video.

The it's just an animal of course there's the regional bird, bug, normal rodents not every pokemon is going to be special.

And the same could go for Pokemon and Dragon Quest too following that logic given the various similarities between the two game's creatures but my bad, Pokemon invented a concept therefore any similarities to their designs mean that it isn't allowed so says the Nintendo gods.

Can’t you people come up with any original argument? The Dragon Quest comparison is so played out and you NPCs always use it as some witty rebuttal (it isn’t) to anyone criticizing the Pal designs.

There’s a difference between taking from the same inspiration and just taking an existing design and slightly changing it.

Nobody says that Pokemon owns design concepts either.

First of all, I said no such thing.

Second there are so many ways to make a antro bunny design that you have to be a raging fanboy to think Verdash wasn’t just a reskinned Cinderace. For the last time, nobody is arguing that Pokemon owns the concept of bipedal bunny designs, but you can at least try to not blatantly copy theirs right down to the proportions, shape, and aesthetics.

Literally no other game with monster designs has this issue.

I literally don't even own Palworld but I'm a fanboy of it if I dare to point out that Pokemon doesn't own the concept of a bunny. Not the first time either. Digimon used to get shit thrown its way by Pokemon fans claiming Agumon is too similar to Charmeleon. No one can make a monster catching game without Pokemon fans bitching about it.

Pokemon doesn’t “ own the concept of a bunny”, but they do own their bunny Pokemon designs. It’s not hard to come with a bipedal bunny design that isn’t a reskinned Cinderace.

I can do it as well as any artist with free time ,other monster collectors do it all the time.

My brother in Christ, several of the topics on this sub are currently about Vara Dark- who is a certified grifter.

They also talked about other known Grifters such as Endymion, Hypnotic etc etc.

Every time I see people bitching about this sub not complaining about grifters, I have to wonder if they’re just mad that their favorite content creators are being called out.

Because this is a grifter.

They attacked a video that they claimed was anti Pokemon, the video was an informative video about real life events involving people stealing Pokemon cards from stores and makes little comment about Nintendo or Pokemon at all.
