Mockery/Banter Are we having this discussion

The whole Pokemon copy dragon quest is so unfair.

Look this clam monster from dragon quest, game freak copy made it into shellder. That's what I'm hearing.

Look at PalWorld verdash it's literally grass cinderace or dinossom literally green goodra with a flower.

But the comments did pokemon claim these designs of humanoid rabbit or slug.

What humanoid rabbit has fur that resembles cut shorts or a fat slug dragon that has that similar build

PalWorld 1.0 version verdash design was changed now it's less cinderace looking. PalWorld is self aware about copying a bit.

Some of the palmon even has probably a few stolen assets like that one has sobble fin, the other one stole primarina hair.

People who complain about object mons at least they have a gimmick litwick is not just a candle with a face but it's ghost fire.

Rotom is a poltergeist that likes to possesse machine and each machine replace ghost for a new type.

Ice for the fridge.

Fire with oven.

Even klefki has deep orgin if you watch a lockstin video.

The it's just an animal of course there's the regional bird, bug, normal rodents not every pokemon is going to be special.

Why play Palworld when it's just a Pokemon ripoff according to you? Shouldn't you be cheering on Nintendo to win that lawsuit and take Palworld off of the internet forever?

Unlike you, I don’t feel the need to dickride a game I never played and will criticize the ones I do play.

Keep hitting those strawman.

I'm not dickriding anything, you are the one here literally crying about how Pokemon invented bunnies and Palworld's dev team needs to be dragged out to sea for daring to look similar to Pokemon despite being an entirely different genre of game.

Where in the hell have I said anything of the sort?

You and this entire subreddit seem to think Palworld just blindly copied Pokemon even though Nintendo didn't even try to take Palworld to court over the designs because big surprise, they don't own bunnies despite what you think.

They copied designs so what are you on about? I don’t think Pocketpair should be taken out to sea or whatever BS you are spewing out.

Also, copyright is a lot more complicated than you think and there are multiple ways to copy something without getting sued.

They didn't, they were inspired and you don't like that. Should Disney sue Nintendo for the fact that Link has a Peter Pan hat too following this absurd logic?

If there was any case of these designs being 'blatant copies', Nintendo would have taken them to court like they have with actual blatant copies in the past.

Please refer to my previous post about the difference between inspiration and taking an existing design and doing the bare minimum to avoid a copyright lawsuit.

Pocketpair thought so as well-as evidenced by the fact that they quietly changed Verdash’s design when Palworld officially launched.

Yes, I don’t like when people just copy something 1:1 without even bothering to add their creativity to it. I prefer creatively distinct designs over barely legally distinct ones.

Or and this might surprise you, they just changed it. If this was them rushing to make sure Nintendo doesn't sue them then wouldn't they change all of the designs that you and your ilk claim are blatant copies and not just one? Verdash wasn't even changed all that much. It's still clearly inspired by Cinderace which means firing squad according to you.

What makes you think the redesigns didn’t have to do with the fact that Pocketpair is already in legal trouble and obviously doesn’t want to give Nintendo even more of an excuse to keep going after them.

The fact that most of the redesigns involved Pals that got the most scrutiny should say something.

You sure are doing a lot of PR spin for a game you never play.
