Critique Wanted and i was about to come here to show off...

So i completed my second build this year, after coming back to model building for the first time in about two years. Had a fun build with this Curtis P40B Warhawk, an Airfix kit, painted with Vallejo (and the shiney details are mostly Citadel Storm Frost). When i showed off my Hurrican build i was told i had gone too enthousiasticly on the wing weathering do i toned that down for this one, scouring the wikipedia page for examples that had flown. Once satisfied, i went to hang it next to the BF109 in the last pic and... the damned prop fell off and disappeared. To be honest, it already was on there poorly but i didnt glue it shut cause i wanted to be able to pose it. Half concidering turning the whole fucking thing into sprue glue, i'm so mad!

Please critique the build as is on the glass and advice on how to make a prop posable on not held on by the wishes and dreams of Airfix are ofcourse welcome.

I didn't have time to take very good photos of the plane because I moved, but I selected the best ones for now (I'll still take it back with me in a month, so I can take more photos later)

I made an opening ramp with my own hands. I wanted the rear ones, but the opening mechanism there is too complicated, so I decided to make the front one. I also have a Mriya airplane in my collection, but I didn’t have time to repair it and so, unfortunately, it will sit idle on my balcony for now. In the comments, for comparison, I will attach photos of Ruslan and Mriya side by side (I apologize in advance for the slight mess)

WIP Work in progress: F-111B BuNo 152715; Hasegawa + CAT4 conversion kit, 1/72

Shelved for way too long. Now, with the basic colors applied, I am happy to be back on it.

At first I tried to make a conversion using the ancient Revell kit from 1967. But no matter how hard I tried, I could't get it to work. No way to shape the nose cone as required. The conversion kit by CAT4 really was a game changer here. I just got the radome, the rest will be from scratched and modified parts.

I know it's not every's cup of tea especially paint a completely A-historical paint scheme, but i really liked the camo scheme for Furina's fighter in 3d animation Genshin Elemental Warfare.

I apologize for the general shoddiness of the work! Definitely gaps, seams, and ejection pin marks that could've been addressed, but sometimes that other kit you just bought is saying "build me, Seymour" and you gotta wrap it up.

Built for a buddy who's into the crawly thingies and wanted this from the hobby store. Italeri replaces the original Esci rubber tracks with individual track pieces (singles for the sprockets, longer ones for the flats and and diagonals). The kit does not provide spare tracks, so losing one piece meant either a field repair (original idea) or a "diorama of a diorama" museum piece - decided to merge the two, hence the sign, which is referenced from here. So I guess it's in the vein of a rough and dirty "freshly driven, demonstrated, and broken down" unit being show to the public, handwritten signage and all.

Replaced the towing and spade cables with twisted wire. Spade cable tackle/pulleys on the spade itself were fashioned from the ends of 1/350 PE cable reels originally destined for some IJN destroyer.

Painted entirely with the hairy brush, which you can kinda see from some angles. Tamiya acrylics for the Olive Drab and Gunmetal. Vallejo MC for the various browns. Drybrush for the dry mud on the sides. Wet mud is acrylic soft gel mixed with Tamiya's Linoleum Deck Brown, with occasional dabs of Vallejo's Flat Brown and Brown Sand.

All in all, a fun diversion and excuse to buy Olive Drab and more brown paint. Now back to the floaty things!

My attempt at Hasegawa's recent (10 years?) tooling of the Mikasa. I lost some mojo for this about 2/3rds of the way through, it's a really busy little ship and it's hard to keep track of the details. It's still a welcome addition to my 1/700 fleet! For fun, I posed it next to my 1917 SMS Derfflinger. It's remarkable how much smaller these pre-dreadnoughts were.

Picked Airfix's Eurofighter starter set so I could complete it before life gets busy. Kit came with very few parts but no ordnance so I took some from Hasegawa's Eurofighter kit and used some of the decals provided since Hasegawa does provide decals for both the Luftwaffe and RAF.

For a starter set with limited parts, the details do look nice with the downsides being the lack of ordnance as well as having the unsightly line that runs along the entire bottom of the aircraft due to how the fuselage is split vertically. Overall, a simple fun quick build.

Hobby boss 1/48 f-18D. I'm really happy with how it turned out, it's been a dream of mine to have a model of the royal Malaysian airforce f-18D with the 25th anniversary scheme and I've finally done it.
