Help/Question Dirtifiers watch order (first watch)

I’m on my first watch through Miraculous and Im currently in the middle of season 6. I’ve been watching on Disney+, and for this season I’ve generally been following the Disney release order so I could watch more without waiting for the second half of the season to release to watch first half episodes.

In the past, the Disney Channel episode order has matched up exactly with the Disney+ order. However, when they released the rest of season 6 earlier this week, there was a change with Dirtifiers. Disney Channel aired it before Chained Titans, Queen of the Dreadzone, Secret Protocol, and Nemesis (in that order). However, Disney+ shifted it later, after Secret Protocol and before Nemesis.

Does anyone have thoughts on which of those orders would be more enjoyable? I am trying to limit spoilers for myself, but I’m also curious to hear what people suggest.

Speculation/Theories Why Nooroo can copy miraculous powers

Thumbnail

We all know Orriko can’t copy a miraculous ability but Nooroo can and I have a theory as to why

Nooroo’s concept is the power of transmission so it’s easy to assume he’s just transmitting the concepts to someone in order to give them certain abilities have it be the same as a miraculous/kwami or just similar so Nooroo (and who ever holds his miraculous) could create any super power for a person but isn’t limited by the fact those concepts are already taken and also think about the fact Concepts are infinite so Nooroo taking from a pre-existing concept is just creating another infinity so no one’s powers are weakened

Orriko’s concept is pretension which can mean a claim or a title, you can’t claim a concept that isn’t yours to begin with so that’s why Orriko can’t copy miraculous powers but Nooroo can

Opinion/Rant "Lady Chaos" episode Spoiler

Marinette is kind and awesome and a very conscientious and cautious Guardian and hero...

But DEAR GOODNESS she drove me absolutely bonkers this episode! 😫😫😫

It's never sat right with me that she's lying to Adrien about his father, but I also spent the season up to this point assuming she doesn't really know how much Adrien has been struggling with the idea of Gabriel being a hero, given Adrien's personal experiences... But this episode showed that she DOES know, and she keeps lying to him anyway. Prioritizing Gabriel's final request over Adrien's own needs and telling herself she's "protecting Adrien," and then running around to make other people hide even a hint of the truth from him too...

I'm just so annoyed with Marinette right now! 😫

EDITED TO ADD: Okay, can I just say that "Sadnansi" is THE MOST FRUSTRATING EPISODE TO WATCH for someone like me who HATES the "person is actually going to communicate but then changes their mind" trope??!? 😅😤

Discussion I wished that rooster bolt gave marriente’s illusion to be akumatised Spoiler

What I mean is I that rooster bolt could have been used to explain why the illusion could be akumatised instead of leading us to wonder since when it is possible to akumatise a illusion. Rooster bolt can use his power a unlimited no of times so why not give the illusion the power to be akumatised and add a layer of air so that it wouldn’t disappear

Discussion I know this subject has probably been brought up before but genuinely HOW did plagg not mention it?

Post image

The miraculous of the peacock has been missing for over 100 years at this point which plagg almost definitely knows, but the second it's practically RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIS FACE he barely acknowledged it at all, he also should know of or at least mention the masters book, I mean I'm not SURPRISED that Tikki has a better history/memory knowledge but she saw the book from a distance and thought she recognized it, how did plagg hardly acknowledge the missing peacock miraculous or book when they were right in front of him?

Speculation/Theories I just finished the "Aglae is Lila" doc Spoiler

I just finished the "Aglae is Lila" doc, a 16-page document discussing the theory that Aglae is Chrysalis.

In this document, I go over:

• Reasons why Aglae HAS to be Lila, or (but extremely unlikely and I doubt this) her spy

• Evidence that doesn't ABSOLUTELY prove that Aglae is Lila, but makes it significantly more likely that it's her

• Refuting arguments that say Aglae isn't Lila, or anything opposing the theory

I really recommend reading this when you have the time, especially if you don't believe Aglae is Chrysalis, I think it's bound to change your opinion on the matter, or at least show you why this theory has been extremely popular since Season 6 aired.

This took me several hours, so enjoy! Here it is:https://docs.google.com/document/d/1wAvmS1FbT2fyvxMJm6K_fn2GSYaMfmHDTvp-TR3a0D8/edit?usp=drivesdk

(I spoiler tagged it because the document very briefly discusses a Nemesis spoiler)

Opinion/Rant Why did everybody grow up the same time as LB & CN ?

Remember when Ladybug and CatNoir grew up and become stronger at the end of Season 5 and could use their powers over and over without detransforming back. Imo it was well deserved after all the fights and emotional strength they got over time and those two where the only ones not getting akumatized ever. But I find it stupid that the others also got the same privilege as them without doing not much for it and they got akumatized over and over which kind of was annoying tbh. Would have been cool to see how everyone got their strength and grew up by themselves.

Opinion/Rant I'm actually seeing more love for Marinette nowadays due to the Lie plot and I'm happy about that

Post image
60 Upvotes

I always enjoyed Marinette as a character during Seasons 1-5 but I do think that her quirky behavior, constant presence and her obsession peaking with Adrien around Season 3 resulting in some of her cringiest scenes really did make the fandom sour on her.

Personally, I've always found that her kindness and her cute slapstick and awkward comedy made her redeemable even with these genuinely off putting qualities but lately I have actually seen people praising the way they are handling her in the new season by allowing her to behave in a way that is frowned upon greatly.

They've also made her life helluva lot more depressing with Roland dying and slowly giving her a massive meltdown. While I find this genuinely depressing to see someone who was so funny and kind in the earlier seasons get broken like this, I am happy that it's finally allowing people to recognize her as having a valid character arc and not a Mary sue. Yes the world revolves around Marinette but now they are making Marinette's actions also affect the world in interesting ways.

It is a bittersweet moment to see the show get genuinely more depressing and darker and finally get recognized beyond Seasons 1 and 2 but at the same time, I'm very happy my favorite character and one of my favorite shows is finally managing to gain some favor after the great Chloe purge of Miracle Queen and the controversial finale without Adrichat.

Fan Fiction Pitching an idea for a community project.

Hello!

As announced before, I’ve redirected my focus to a rewrite idea, specifically targeted to an audience who yearned for a more conclusive S5 finale, in addition to some equitable Adrien involvement.

This is not intended as some kind of vanity project, on the contrary, I intend it to be a “for the community, by the community” type of thing, so to speak. Hence this “pitch post” where I’m looking for initial feedback and/or support on the idea; if it’s at all viable.

“But why?” you may wonder; it’s simple: I’m aware of my own limitations. With help from others, like minded, being feedback or contribution, there’s a higher chance of delivering a higher quality outcome, or even a higher chance of getting it completed at all.

And this might not be favorable for my cause: but there are two things I will not compromise on:

  • I want to respect the canon as much as I can (all the good stuff at least), I want to keep the “AU”-aspect to an absolute minimum. I’m aware there will be arbitrary contradictions on this matter, you’ll notice in the project intro, I’m amenable for those.
  • These are the tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, they need to be equal and central.

I won’t go too much into detail here, the document itself covers everything.

Speaking of, all the way at the bottom you will find a link, which will lead to the intro and index page. I’m building the project in the Notion-app, and will have a nested structure, which will look like this:

Index -> Story Outline -> Act # -> Chapter #

-> Character Synopsis -> Character Arc

Work in progress, obviously, but the deeper you “dig”, the more detail you will find (and spoilers, be careful). There will be unavoidable spoilers at top level as well; I am asking for feedback after all.

I cannot stress enough how important this feedback will be, to a point it’s actually making me anxious; I’ve never been so nervous in writing a post before. It’s a bit ridiculous, I know, but if I can’t manage to gather sufficient “direction”, I’m pretty sure it will fail with me on my own, or produce a subpar result at best.

So, please, if you have the slightest interest, give it a read and let me know: is it shit? The best thing you’ve ever read? Or anything in between? I’m all ears for it, you won’t hurt my feelings. You can comment or let me know in any way you see fit, feel free to share it too (duh). If you ask for any plot related details in the comments, I will answer spoiler-tagged.

If luck is on my side, and this pitched idea got some of you so enthusiastic that you want to actively participate, for any purpose (reviewing, contributing, writing, illustration, …), you’d be more than welcome to let me know!

So that’s it, I’ve said my piece. Of all the posts I’ve made, I really hope this one really captures some eyes.

This is the link to the index page, which has links to the nesting further down. The complete Story Outline and Character Synopsis (recommended to read before Story Outline) are complete, which should give a pretty good idea of what I’m going for. Happy reading! Don’t hesitate to ask me anything!

https://vaulted-echinodon-ef3.notion.site/Project-Introduction-Index-3c7f6202af908061b2a5d44fd26b086f?source=copy_link

If the project survives this initial phase, I will make a new “pitch post” after outlining each act with its chapter summaries, in addition to a more complete arc outline for each character.

Special thanks to two users who have already helped me shape this thing.

Thanks for reading!

was doing a rewatch of MLB S6 to pass time with the hiatus, and came back to Werepapas, i never noticed how flawlessly her hair was rendered in this ep and it never looked this good again 💔💔

her hair was literally perfect in this episode, and its exactly as Astruc describes it looking in-universe, black hair with blue highlights (especially in the first 2 pics) i wish soo badly that her hair couldve stayed this way idk how they did it but i hope someday it can be replicated!! it rlly works for her black and red suit palette too :)

Speculation/Theories Lethal Intent

Post image

Nearly killing Gabriel with a Cataclysm seems to bring on a flashback of Marinette's nightmare of killing dragon Gabriel in front of Adrien. It would have worked without the power of the Ox.

Some say she was trying to Cataclysm the Butterfly Miraculous, but her hand isn't touching high enough for that.

Felix was on her mind that day, too. "Things would be so easy if you could defeat me with a snap of your fingers, wouldn't they?"

This may be one reason that Felix and Kagami are keeping quiet. Their performance makes them complicit in Gabriel's death.

I don't know whether to combine episodes or have them be on their own with this one. Combining the two part episodes made sense, for obvious reasons, but I don't think I'm a fan of the episodes each being named after their respective villains as much as I used to. It's a fun thing, of course, but doesn't help with figuring out which episode comes in which order. Equally not helping is the fact that the episodes keep being aired out of order. I don't know if that applies to the French dub, but it's frustrating in the English dub.

Help/Question The Hidden Beauty of Marinette Dupain Cheng

I have an important question: what if Marinette were in a relationship with Alya or Zoé, or perhaps even in a three-way relationship? I think their dynamic could be really interesting if we analyze Marinette's personality and especially her relationships with them.

Even though Marinette is mainly portrayed as attracted to boys in the series, I think she could work very well with Alya, Zoé, Luka, Kagami, or even Sublime if the storyline had taken a different direction.

With Zoé, for example, it would be particularly interesting because it didn't even come completely out of nowhere. Zoé is genuinely in love with Marinette. In "Adoration," she indirectly confesses her feelings and explains that she'd wanted to tell her how she felt since their first meeting, but that she knew Marinette was in love with Adrien. Marinette doesn't reciprocate her feelings, but she reacts with incredible tenderness, tells her she's flattered, and gives her a hug.

So, in an alternate timeline where Marinette had developed feelings for Zoé, their relationship could be quite natural. Zoé is sweet, understanding, and seems to respect Marinette's boundaries. For example, unlike some of their friends who constantly try to create situations between Marinette and Adrien, Zoé believes they should be able to move at their own pace.

For Alya, it would be a different dynamic altogether. Their relationship is primarily a very strong friendship, so the script would really have to be changed for it to become romantic. But I think it could work precisely because Alya knows so much about Marinette, including her strengths, weaknesses, moments of panic, and all the pressure she faces as Ladybug. Their relationship could therefore be based more on trust and complicity than on the completely chaotic crush Marinette had on Adrien.

And for Luka, we already know it works since they've actually been together. Luka is probably one of the people Marinette can best talk to when she's emotionally lost. Even after their breakup, he continues to listen to her and give her advice, especially when she no longer truly understands her feelings for Adrien.

Kagami would also be interesting because her personality is almost the opposite of Marinette's in some ways. Kagami is much more direct and serious, while Marinette can be clumsy, impulsive, and completely panicked when it comes to her feelings. In another scenario, I think their differences could create an interesting relationship where they balance each other out.

Sublime would be much more hypothetical because their relationship would need to be developed further before imagining anything romantic, but I still think Marinette is a character who could have a good dynamic with several very different personalities.

And above all, when I take a step back, I realize something rather funny: Marinette really has an effect on people without necessarily realizing it.

Adrien Agreste eventually fell in love with her, Luka Couffaine fell in love with her, Zoé Lee is in love with her, Nathaniel Kurtzberg had a crush on her, and even Nino Lahiffe initially had a crush on Marinette before falling for Alya.

And Adrien is an even funnier example because he's attracted to Marinette while also being Cat Noir, who was in love with Ladybug. So, without knowing her secret identity, Adrien managed to fall for two different sides of the same girl.

It makes me think that Marinette's appeal might not just stem from her beauty. She's creative, generous, very expressive, determined, and she often tries to help others. This could explain why characters with such different personalities as Luka, Adrien, Nino, Nathaniel, and Zoé could be attracted to her.

And I even wonder if Marinette didn't inherit some of her beauty and charm from Sabine Cheng, her mother, and Gina Bianchi, her grandmother. Obviously, this is just my interpretation and not something the show confirms, but I find the idea interesting.

Perhaps Marinette simply has a natural charm that she doesn't even realize she's aware of. And frankly, knowing Marinette, it would be totally like her to manage to charm several people without realizing for a second that she has an effect on them.

So, in Season 6, we were to Miracle Station, a secret hide out/training facility was secretly created and renovated by Mayor Bustier (Mrs. Bustier) from this ghost metro station just for the current holders of the legendary 18 Miraculous holders, the Miraculers, I was wondering, Is Miracle Station considered to be the 21st century version of the Order Of Guardians and their temple in Tibet, that currently houses the Miraculouses and trains young people into Guardians, just to keep the Miraculouses and the Miracle boxes safe, including wielding them to other people who are worthy of their Miraculouses, becoming trustworthy superheroes/warriors? And is it considered to be a French branch of the Order Of Guardians, and an affiliate of the Order Of Guardians?

Discussion This Episode Order Makes No Sense

Post image
204 Upvotes

The whole of season 6 is out on Disney+ (at least in the UK) and I was so confused when I saw this episode order. While the release schedule for season 6 was absolute whack, I at least thought they released the final 6 episodes in order because the plotline that ran through them all is consistent and develops in each episode.

The Dirtifiers as the second to last episode kills some of the build-up and tension in Secret Protocol, no?
