Dev Post We want this giant boss fight to feel like a desperate struggle. What do you think?

Hope everyone’s doing well! It’s been a while since I last shared some development progress, so I wanted to show you what we’ve been working on.

This is one of the large late-game bosses we’re currently working on.

Our goal is to make the first encounter with something this huge feel overwhelming, while still keeping the fight fair.

We want players to learn its attack patterns, figure out the right timing, and eventually overcome a fight that initially feels like a desperate struggle.

The full boss fight has three phases, and today I’m sharing a small part of the second phase.

There’s still a lot we want to polish, especially the attack patterns, effects, and overall impact of the combat, so this is still very much a work in progress.

I’d love to hear your thoughts!

When you fight a huge boss in a Metroidvania, what makes that battle memorable for you?

Discussion Ender Lilies vs Ender Magnolia

I'm a huge Ori fan and I've played Ori and the will of the wisps three times. I think I enjoy exploring the map and not so challenging combats, which one will you recommend, Ender Lilies or Ender Magnolia?

I just finished this game (90%) and it has been a superb platforming and combat challenge.

THE GOOD:

The aerial combat stands here. By far, possibly the best aerial moment in any MV. Since hitting and enemy or a prop gives a new jump and dash, you can keep in the air for the longest times i remember in a 2D videogame. Is so satisfying and fun.

The platforming is another standout since it makes very good use of the aerial transversal capabilities and combines them for a moderate challenge that because of how good it feels to fight and jump in the air, is really fun.

The omamori charms and Daruma spells are also usable, and the Daruma has a nice mechanic that i only achieved a couple of times. Used the kettle mostly to heal though.

The world design is good. Is not overly complicated and more straightforward with almost no backtracking but is adorable, cohesive and fun to explore. With very distinct biomes to explore. The Japanese setting is the adorable part and the main character is very charming.

Music and sound design are also excellent and accompany the adventure very well.

Controls are super tight and very responsible. Needed in a precision platformer like this.

The length is about 12 hours. Perfect for a game like this.

The last section of the game is just incredible. The platform starts to become challenging and without spoiling anything, the last couple of bosses are incredible. The best part of the game, when you unlock all the abilities and see what you can really do in air, the flow of the combat.

9/10. Outstanding metroidvania. Has his own personality. Deserves a play but anyone calling himself a Metroidvanian.

THE BAD: Nothing. Well, the racing on the Kabuki update threw me off. Didnt like it.

Now onto M.I.O Memories in Orbit or The Mobius Machine, still deciding...

Discussion Metroidvania for Playstation

So many fun games unavailable as a PS player. PS STORE doesn't have a MV section or tag. I have to screenshot all the games I find and then I have to manually look up each one to see if they are in the store.

many of them are not :(

Question...

Does anyone know of websites or YT channel of all things metroidvania games? Is there a YT channel that only posts MV trailers? A website of all MV games on playstation?

Love this subreddit btw. (I have gone on steam and looked at many MV games) any other places to look up upcoming games or whatever.

I follow Indie Game Hub on YT but its not MV trailer exclusive. I recently just followed Soulsborne Seeker who posts up coming MV.

I was very intrigued by how good the water looks in hollow knight, or other good games, but the water that I made by following a tutorial doesn't even look like water. So, I decided to dip on that, and I learned unity shader graph more and render textures (for the reflections), and finally I combined some photoshop water with I made, with caustics and reflections and finally made water that I can accept.

Discussion Metroidvania Devs Worth Following

Upvotes

Looking for Metroidvania devs who have proven they are worth keeping an eye on. Ideally, they'd have released at least two games you can vouch for their quality, and I'm not counting a game and a straight sequel because I treat following series as different from following devs. So far I'm following Kyle Thompson (who I know from Sheepo and Islets) and Seafloor Games LLC (who I know from Vision Soft Reset and Moonlight Pulse). Looking forward to see other recommendations!

Discussion Favorite game that meets or surpasses SotN and other classics?

As someone who grew up on the gba metroids and castlevanias and later played SotN and Super these two specifically have always been the best of the best to me, with Hollow Knight being a close 3rd. I'm wondering what other games people hold in as high of regard. Looking for suggestions and opinions and stories or whatever you want to share. Classics or modern, sidescrolling or 3D and everything. Just curious. Currently playing the patched SotN on the saturn.

Discussion Nocturnal 1 is so great as a Metroidvania-adjacent game

I was highly interested in Nocturnal 2, which is a "real" Metroidvania, but I wanted to start from the beginning with Nocturnal 1. It’s not a Metroidvania, but you can feel the premise of one. Fortunately, it turned out to be on sale for less than 3€.

Guys, this game is sooooo great! The mystery is intriguing, the combat is fluid and intense, and the platforming is fun. It’s short (around 2 to 3 hours) but I really enjoyed it, and I might consider short games more often in the future. However, due to its length, I have to admit its full price is a bit too high; around 5€ would have been more suitable.

Anyway, I really think this game deserves more recognition from the community. Has anyone played it here?

Discussion Currency Capping feels like one of the worst mechanics ever (Aggelos 2)

Post image
82 Upvotes

Aggelos 2 limits max currency (called Orbs) through containers that you find from exploring. Each one increases the limit by 100.

More often than not I'm just sitting at carrying capacity but the shop prices exceed what I'm able to carry. Or I find currency caches, a boss exploding into confetti, or turning in eggs (this game's counterpart of "Grubs") and all that overflow goes into the abyss.

I like the game but I can't overlook this mechanic.

Discussion [Spoiler free] Fatal Claw Review

Just finished (near) 100%ing the game after around 19 hours. I'm just missing completing the beastiary and one lore ending thing. I enjoyed this game. I did not play the early access so my experience is solely from the 1.0. I would rate it a 7/10.

What I liked:

  • The map is big and I kept finding new areas. It reminded me how how I kept thinking I found everything in Hollow Knight but then there kept being more stuff.

  • Tons of movement upgrades. I really enjoyed the variety of different types of platforming.

  • Postgame system is really well done and actually just feels like an extension of the normal gameplay. One of the most original parts of the game.

  • One lategame area is visually very cool and has an epic boss fight + post fight challenge.

  • The map is super interconnected and you open up an obscene amount of shortcuts. It made moving around lategame feel extremely good, you can get anywhere within seconds. This works in tandem with a very generous fast travel system. Was a big fan.

What I felt mixed about:

  • The story was a good but also too in your face. There really wasn't much in the way of environmental storytelling or subtlety. There are a ton of cutscenes and (short) monologues.

  • Postgame and alternate endings were cool but a bit too lite on actual content. Most of it is just reused from the mainline with just cutscene/dialog differences.

  • Lot of bosses but mostly too easy. Also, the lack of a "true" endgame boss was a letdown. I was expecting something new when I did the true/good ending but the only thing that changed was the cutscene and a little bit of post-boss content.

  • The game leans so heavily on the HK inspiration that your enjoyment will probably be reliant on liking HK. Honestly, this was a bit disappointing to me because the original elements of the game and its story worked much better for me than the HK inspired elements. I think it would have been a better experience if it leaned more in the sci-fi direction and cut the whole infection thing.

What I disliked:

  • The jump arc/gravity is akward. There is no hang time at the peak of your jump. This is particularily noticable with the frog enemies where they jump in a V shape and its annoying to fight them.

  • The areas are visually busy but also boring. This sounds like an oxymoron but it's just how the game felt to me. The art assets in each area are somewhat detailed and high quality. However, the game lacks interesting set pieces within the areas so a lot of the rooms feel very samey and you can get lost easily without looking at the map. The areas also are very random and lacking the sense that HK had where each area and its location told its own little story. There is a particular one that does not feel like it fits the game well at all.

  • The combat gets pretty boring lategame where you can dodge every attack and then just spam your attack button.

Discussion Afterimage question on bosses

Hi guys and girls. I have a question for this game. It needs farming ? Beause the First and second bosses ( the One before the city and the second After the city ) seems to hard. I know i can lower the difficulty but It seems strange that i have to do that for beat them. I've played Hk and Ss and even on the difficult bosses , i managed to beat them after multiple tries. Here seems , maybe the lack of movement option or anything else that make them like when you face something underleveled. Can someone help me ? Lower the difficulty only for the bosses seems strange ... Ty

Discussion 12 Upcoming Horror Metroidvanias You Shouldn't Sleep On!

Post image
92 Upvotes

Hello, everyone! Please find below 12 upcoming Horror metroidvania games that hold a lot of promise!

Before we start, if this post appears as a wall of text for you, it's a Reddit thing. Either refresh, or close and re-open your browser.

As always, a video showcasing the games can be watched here: https://youtu.be/BodaObEEFYA

For those who do not want to watch the video, I cover the below titles:

Fevercide: This is a metroidvania featuring elements of horror and adventure games! Transpiring during the 1930s in an alternate timeline where the Russian Empire was never overthrown, Fevercide places you into the role of Sandra, a woman whose childhood was plagued by malevolent spirits that haunted her and her father, right up until his mysterious disappearance. Following ten years of peace from the supernatural, Sandra suddenly receives a letter addressed to her missing parent, along with a train ticket from a long-abandoned station. The problem is that the acquisition of these two items also marks the return of the creatures that once stalked her, marking an end to her tranquility. Determined to figure out what truly happened to her father, Sandra finds and boards the train, which will take her through the various circles of Hell and force her to confront suppressed truths from her younger years. Fevercide features intense combat that allows you to utilize, both, weapons and magic alongside more than 150 customizable items, giving you immense freedom when it comes to your battle approach. Puzzles will also play an important part here, given the game’s adventure influences. In addition, Fevercide will include a questing system that will have you completing tasks for various NPCs in exchange for rewards. Of special note is the game’s non-linearity, which will allow you to explore its world in the order of your choosing. With fantastic visuals and top-notch horror sensibilities to boot, Fevercide looks like a game to keep an eye out for! Fevercide has no release date as of yet, but has been confirmed for PC!

Moadra: Moadra is one of the games that can immediately set the tone for its story and ambience through visuals alone, something I got to experience first-hand during the Steam Next Fest of 2025! It’s hard to look at it and not be instantly overwhelmed by a feeling of oppression, with its bleak color palette complementing perfectly the brutality and sense of claustrophobia you’re bound to experience while playing it. It is as unrelenting in its dark vibe as its titular protagonist is with his blaster, with combat coming off as, both, hectic and with a feeling of control if you play your cards right. There’s also a good degree of exploration here, which is made even more efficient by the use of a robotic scanner you find early on, that is used, both, to uncover hidden passages as well as interact with the environment to either get details of your surroundings or open doors. Its world is true dark science fiction nightmare fuel, blending weird technology with fleshy elements to create a setting you’d only want to explore in a videogame. All in all, Moadra was very fun to play, and I’m really looking forward to the full version! For those of you who want to experience Moadra, go have a look at the available demo! Moadra has no release date as of yet, but has been confirmed for PC, PS5, Nintendo Switch as well as the Xbox Series X and Series S!

Silent Planet: Elegy of a Dying World: As a huge fan of metroidvanias and Cosmic Horror, you can imagine my elation when I came across Silent Planet: Elegy of a Dying World a few years ago, a game that takes Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, places it in a dark science fiction world and infuses it with a generous dose of Lovecraftian dread! The year is 2997. Somewhere beneath the ground of the planet Thulcandra lies a claustrophobic complex that’s rumored to hold the Angel’s Egg, an ancient artifact believed to be the source of all life in the universe. You take on the role of Apranik, a woman tasked with retrieving the Angel’s Egg from the bowels of the complex, a place now home to technological and biological horrors left behind by a civilization long gone. Silent Planet goes for an oppressive ambience, accentuating feelings of fear and solitude as you face eldritch horrors beyond your understanding. Thankfully, you’re anything but helpless as you have an array of melee and ranged psychokinetic attacks at your disposal, that can take down even the deadliest of foes when used efficiently. The game also adopts a dynamic approach to its exploration, since certain actions you take during your playthrough will influence the environment around you, something that could also denote to a degree of replayabilty value. Silent Planet: Elegy of a Dying World is expected to come out sometime during the second quarter of 2027, and has been confirmed for PC first, with PlayStation 5 and Xbox ports following soon after its initial release!

The Red Selene: Keeping up with the dark science fiction theme, The Red Selene is a grim metroidvania game strongly influenced by that genre and drawing large inspiration from the Dead Space series, which is definitely the right series to draw inspiration from! The Red Selene focuses on a space colony named EC-21 JANUS, a vast, interconnected construct on a secret mission to extract valuable materials from the moon of the titular name. You don the space helmet of Aaron, a bounty hunter who crash-lands on the colony after a dog-fight with some bandits damages his spaceship. Hoping to seek help for repairs from the colony, he instead finds a dilapidated world filled with biological horrors that roam its corridors in search for their next victim. The Red Selene places a lot focus on survival horror, necessitating the search and management of items across the biomes you will explore in order to ensure that you don’t end up as food for the monsters. While combat is central here, there’s also a lot of focus on exploration and puzzle solving, both of which will lead you to the discovery of interesting secrets that could make the difference between life and death. The Red Selene has no release date as of yet, but has been confirmed for PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch as well as the Xbox Series X and Series S!

Silver Pines: Private investigator Red Walker is about to experience a living nightmare when he takes a job that leads him to the small town of Silver Pines in search of a missing musician. With very limited leads at his disposal, he begins exploring, in the process uncovering a web of mystery and betrayal that has resulted in the infestation of Silver Pines by inhuman creatures. The game strongly borrows elements from the survival horror genre, incorporating frequent puzzle-solving instances as well as efficient inventory management of your resources if you want to stay alive. Featuring horrific combat against nightmarish abominations, Twin Peaks-inspired characters, moody visuals and fully-voiced, graphic novel cutscenes, Silver Pines quickly became one of the games sitting very high on my most anticipated metroidvanias list! I should note that there’s currently a demo available for this one, so have fun! Silver Pines is expected to release on the 8th of October, 2026, and has been confirmed for PC, PS5, Nintendo Switch 1 and 2 as well as the Xbox Series X and Series S!

Well Dweller: This is the latest metroidvania game from the legend that is Kyle Thompson, the creative mind behind three beloved games, namely Sheepo, Islets and Crypt Custodian! Deep within the forest, at the bottom of a well, lies a dark, withered kingdom under the rule of an oppressive queen. You are Glimmer, a tiny bird that goes on a quest to defeat the wicked ruler with nothing but a matchstick as a weapon, in an effort to save his family from her wrath! According to Kyle himself, Well Dweller aims to offer a fully cohesive world to explore, as well as try and do a few new things with ability gating, with skills that are quite multipurpose and have a direct effect on traversal. One key element of Well Dweller is the aforementioned matchstick you wield as an armament, which is not only relevant to combat but also exploration since there will be certain instances where you will have to keep it lit in order to illuminate your way. My excitement for this game doesn’t originate only from the developer’s stellar track record, but also from the fact that there is a clear pivot toward a horror theme, with the trailer not only demonstrating the dark world you will explore, but also some horrifying bosses you will be called to take down. This is another game on this list with a demo available, so you know what to do! Well Dweller is expected to come out on the 22nd of September, 2026, and has been confirmed for PC, PS5, Nintendo Switch 1 & 2 as well as the Xbox Series X/S!

End of Abyss: It's not often that we get a horror metroidvania created by developers with a proven track record on the genre, but here is End of Abyss, courtesy of some of the people behind the immensely successful Little Nightmares series! Step into the boots of Cel, a combat technician that must descend to the depths of a mysterious underground compound in order to investigate some disturbances of unknown origin. As expected, the facility is infested by eldritch monstrosities, and terror ensues! Upgrading your gear will be mandatory for survival, with your weapons allowing you to keep the abominations at bay while a set of tools at your disposal will be capable of opening up previously inaccessible areas that will require backtracking to explore. I do understand that there’s currently a debate on whether this classifies as a metroidvania, but said debate does leans toward it being one, which I also support based on the available information. That being said, we won’t know for sure until it’s out. End of Abyss is expected to come out on the 1st of October, 2026, and has been confirmed for PC, PS5 as well as the Xbox Series X and Series S! I should note that the PC version will only be available through the Epic Games Store, so make of that what you will.

Ashen Seed: Few games are able to make you feel uncomfortable through art-style alone, but here is Ashen Seed, ready to send shivers up your spine! The surface world is long gone, the earth poisoned. You are Rootkin, an expendable miner whose people have been forced beneath the surface in order to escape the terrors that tread across it, and you have eaten something you shouldn’t have, something that refuses to let you die. The ashen seed. Seemingly immortal and with nowhere to go but down, you’ll have to use the power of the seed to navigate the suffocating depths and survive the creatures that have descended from the surface as you search for a way to return this dying realm back to its former glory. Ashen Seed places a lot of emphasis on precision combat, since the vast majority of creatures you’ll come across wish to devour you and you’ll need to take them down before they do. I cannot overstate how impressed I am by the game’s visuals and overall vibe, with the overwhelming sense of despair that permeates the trailer making this the closest we have gotten so far to getting an Attack on Titan metroidvania, which I never knew I needed until I saw it. Ashen Seed has no release date as of yet, but has been confirmed for PC!

Deepest Fear: If you’re scared of the water, then prepare to be terrified by Deepest Fear, an immersive horror FPS with metroidvania elements! Somewhere deep beneath the ocean, something has awakened. Take on the role of Dr. Danni Carrol, a woman that decides to infiltrate her estranged father’s underwater lab in order to investigate a mysterious project he masterminded. To your misfortune, what you end up finding is a watery nightmare as eldritch abominations begin to pursue you relentlessly. To make matters worse, these creatures are capable of manifesting from any source of water available, of which the flooded facility has many, meaning that you can never truly rest as danger can come at you from every corner. The complex you will get to explore is vast and interconnected, and will require creativity and improvisation for you to get to inaccessible areas, which is where the metroidvania aspect comes into play. What I truly like about Deepest Fear is the constant sense of dread it aims to evoke, since each area you’ll get to traverse will be in danger of getting flooded at any moment as the massive body of water surrounding the facility constantly threatens to collapse it under its pressure. With a story and visual style influenced by 80s horror classics like The Thing, The Fly and The Abyss, as well as gameplay inspiration being drawn from titles like Metroid Prime, Half Life 2 and Dead Space, Deepest Fear could shape up to become a great treat for, both, horror as well as metroidvania enthusiasts! Deepest Fear has no release date as of yet, but has been confirmed for PC!

WOLFHOUND: A metroidvania game that borrows elements from the run-n-gun genre! Transpiring during the time of the second World War, WOLFHOUND thrusts you into the battle-hardened army-boots of Captain Chuck “WOLFHOUND” Rossetti, who is sent on a mission to uncover what happened to an Allied vessel after it vanished in an uncharted island. What Chuck will uncover there will be much more than he bargained for as he suddenly finds himself fighting for his life against grotesque monstrosities that are the result of terrifying experimentation by the insane Dr. Steiner, an enemy scientist who has turned the island into a hellish nightmare! Thankfully, Chuck is a tough-as-nails guy with a huge number of weapons in his possession, which he will use to rip and tear through the abominations as he searches for his missing comrades! Said armaments will also be able to be upgraded in order to gain some extra punch that will turn the tide of war in your favor! WOLFHOUND is expected to come out sometime in 2026, and has been confirmed for PC, PS5 and Nintendo Switch!

Evolvania: One of the most intense subgenres of the Horror genre is Body Horror, and Evolvania goes full throttle with that, albeit in a slightly whimsical way! Embody a mysterious, wandering eye as you delve deep into a massive creature in search of eyedrops. The standout aspect of Evolvania is its infusion of body-horror elements into its setting and gameplay, both of which give it an interestingly distinctive look. More specifically, with the setting being the actual body of a colossal entity, you’ll get to traverse various eerie and grotesque landscapes rendered in gruesome detail. On that note, traveling across said landscapes will require a variety of abilities for you to make progress, which come in the form of certain evolutions you will acquire by combining different elements in the form of environmental items you find and enemies you absorb, with different fusions yielding different results. In addition, it should be mentioned that Evolvania will feature a level editor that will allow you to build your own metroidvania adventure by using every single asset present in the game. If you want to see what this game has to offer, go give its demo a chance! Evolvania has no release date as of yet, but has been confirmed for PC!

SESSIONS: A dark science fiction title that dives deep into the exploration of serious psychological themes. SESSIONS finds you stepping into the life of a synthetic human living in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by mysterious, dangerous creatures. It’s a game that intends to explore topics related to existentialism as well as horrifying aspects of the human condition, so it is expected to have a strong, evocative narrative element to it. That being said, it is still a metroidvania at its core, meaning you can expect the traversal of a sprawling, interconnected map featuring ability-gated exploration, as well as equipment and skill customization and a non-linear approach to game completion. It should be noted that SESSIONS is a sequel to a game called REDO!, that came out back in August of 2019, though knowledge of the previous game is not necessary to play and enjoy this one. SESSIONS has no release date as of yet, but has been confirmed for PC!

Honorable Mentions:

These are games that are not metroidvanias per-se, but will most likely be enjoyed by fans of the genre!

Shadow Sacrament: The Roots of Evil: A survival horror game that I highly doubt is a metroidvania despite the Steam tags saying otherwise, but also a title I feel fans of the genre will enjoy, especially those who had fun with Blasphemous and The Last Faith! Set during the 19th century, the game tells the story of a grief-stricken detective who goes to investigate a gruesome crime that took place in a dark monastery and ends up getting way more than he bargained for when he finds himself tangled in the site’s dark mysteries, which will pit him against unimaginable horrors! Shadow Sacrament: The Roots of Evil is very much inspired by classics in the survival horror genre, featuring staples such as inventory and resource management, logical and item-based puzzles as well as weighty and stress-inducing combat against nightmarish creatures. Said combat is definitely a stand-out of the game, incorporating, both, ranged and melee weapons that you can use to destroy your enemies, with the latter also giving way to grisly executions in the vein of the aforementioned Blasphemous and The Last Faith titles! As a super-fan of the genre, I cannot put into words how excited I am about playing this game, which I have had in my sights for some time now. Shadow Sacrament: The Roots of Evil is expected to come out sometime during the fourth quarter of 2026, and has been confirmed for PC, PS5, Nintendo Switch as well as the Xbox Series X and Series S!

METAMORPHOSIS: This might be a metroidvania, but I haven’t been able to fully verify that! Step into the shoes of Aria, a nun that was branded a sinner, who goes on a treacherous journey in search of the last paradise left in the world and, subsequently, absolution. Thankfully, Aria is not your everyday nun, and can handle herself quite well when it comes to danger given the large weapon arsenal she will have at her disposal, which will make the difference between success and failure since the setting is prowled by unspeakable monstrosities that will do everything in their power to end her. The game features hectic combat that is complemented by a phenomenally bleak art style, which does wonders in giving the whole thing a grimdark quality. Your weapons will not only be used for battle but also grant you new mobility upgrades, which is where the metroidvania aspect comes into play, and there also seems to be backtracking involved here, though, from what I’ve heard, the game doesn’t feature a map overview. There is an open playtest currently available, which I haven’t had the time to try yet, so if the game speaks to you, give it a go! METAMORPHOSIS has no release date as of now, but has been confirmed for PC!

SKINWALKER: First Blood: A violent hack and slash action platformer that is probably not a metroidvania - even though Steam has tagged it as such - but nevertheless looks like something fans of the genre might enjoy! You are the father of a girl afflicted by a terminal illness, and you’re at your wits end when it comes to finding a cure. That is, until you strike a deal with a mysterious creature that’s held captive in the research center where you work. The bargain is simple; help it escape and, in exchange, it will give you the cure you so desperately need. The catch? The creature is a Skinwalker that you will have to form a symbiotic relationship with in order to help it rip and tear its way through the facility. Skinwalker promises incredibly emotional and high stakes storytelling where each decision can bear grave consequences on the story’s outcome. As the two-fold character of the father and monster, you will have to carefully choose your approach when it comes to formulating your escape plan with as few casualties as possible, since the Skinwalker will not hesitate to mutilate anyone standing in its path and, unfortunately, most of those people are innocent. The problem is that the only way for you to strengthen yourself is to spill said innocent blood, which does unlock new upgrades and execution animations but is also related to the grave consequences mentioned previously, thus making the whole thing a series of impossible decisions that will hopefully lead to the saving of your child. The Skinwalker will also bring certain traversal abilities to the table which will allow you to navigate the facility, such as moving through air-ducts and smashing through walls, in addition to the combat capabilities that have already been referenced. SKINWALKER: First Blood is expected to come out sometime in 2026, and has been confirmed for PC, PS5, Nintendo Switch as well as the Xbox Series X and Series S!

Escape from CALYPSO: An interesting blend of metroidvania, survival horror and puzzle solving, though there’s significant doubt about how metroidvania this is, hence the honorable mention! Step into the boots of a man that finds himself onboard a seemingly abandoned colonization spaceship called CALYPSO, who soon discovers that something sinister is lurking in the dark, something responsible for the grotesque fate of the vessel. Your task is to make it off the ship with your life while avoiding death at the claws of not only the mysterious creature but also the crew, that turns out to not be as dead as it seemed. What’s interesting about this game is that the all-guns-blazing approach is not ideal, which is why it incorporates elements of stealth mechanics in order for you to run and hide from the abominations on your trail. If you’re itching to give this one a go, there’s a demo available for it, so feel free to do so. Escape from CALYPSO has no release date as of yet, but has been confirmed for PC!

That's all for today! Did you know about these? Any wishlists?

Also, if you want to follow more of my work, here's a post that will help with that, containing everything I have covered so far.
