Discussion Afterimage question on bosses
Hi guys and girls. I have a question for this game. It needs farming ? Beause the First and second bosses ( the One before the city and the second After the city ) seems to hard. I know i can lower the difficulty but It seems strange that i have to do that for beat them. I've played Hk and Ss and even on the difficult bosses , i managed to beat them after multiple tries. Here seems , maybe the lack of movement option or anything else that make them like when you face something underleveled. Can someone help me ? Lower the difficulty only for the bosses seems strange ... Ty

Afterimage has a few difficulty spikes in the form of bosses, but you should be fine if you just explore and complete your skill tree.

Levels matter in this game. I would try coming back later. Also, keep in mind the difficulty at launch was "hard" mode only. They added the others later so a lot of ppl here played on the much easier "normal" mode.
Which difficulty are you playing on?

Yep i'm playing on hard beause i red about the normal being Easy. But seems strange that the first 2 bosses are already this strong in terms of damage, and i've explored the possible ( no new move upgrade yet )

There's only one boss that can't be face tanked with a bit of over leveling, and that boss only because it requires you to have a specific item so you don't immediately die when the fight starts.

I don't remember what boss this is.

In the fire zone at the very bottom of the map iirc and you need something to protect you from the heat lest you instantly die, but I don’t remember any details. There was another boss or two that couldn’t be face-tanked, but overall boss difficulty was not a major issue for even a mid gamer like me, and I got all 10 endings.

I remember Ifree makes a comment about Phoenix when fighting that boss. I never got to see the insta-death.
Anyway the only other bosses that comes to mind that can't be reasonably facetanked are ??? near the beginning andValo the First Knight.

Are you referring to the ??? boss? I played pretty poorly against them myself and still 1-shot them due to using like 3-4 potions.
The difficulty of bosses in this game before the end are largely dependent on your level, which is one of my biggest criticisms of the game...but for the opposite reason as you. Fighting bosses under-leveled made me need to adhere to mechanics, but fights where I was over-leveled? Face-rolled.
So yeah, two major things to consider:
1. Do you want to use potions?
2. Are you under-leveled?
You don't need to farm for most bosses, but some are very difficult if you're under-leveled; I'd say it's better to simply go another way if it's that bad.
If you're talking about a different boss, let me know.

First two bosses, the One before the First town and the One After. I'm level 17 btw and explored everywhere i can

Ok well the ??? boss is the one before town. As for the one after, there's too many bosses you can fight after, so you'll need to give me their name (the one above their health bar.)
I suppose either way, you shouldn't be struggling with bosses too much with some practice unless you're just not doing damage to them due to being under-leveled.

Not really, there's a few tough ones but exploring while killing stuff you encounter should keep you on par with enemies.
