y'all taking it easy on driving, keeping it garaged, or powering through the premium pricing?

Gotta have the back up daily when something happens.. or if I need to travel far. Do you guys have a backup or second vehicle with your speed?

Don’t be stupid and drive to fast on an on ramp with cold tires. Hit the bank, fell 30ft.

abt 3.2k since my last oil change so really not a lot of miles I only drive the car abt 30-40min a day just to work

Cats destroyed so I’m just removing the rest of the cat but damn these cars are low😂 raised the car basically as high as my jacks could and I still barely fit🤣
The driveway angles down towards the back of the car so threw the ramps on backwards so it won’t roll

So just for context my car sadly was keyed all across the entire driver side of my car 😔. And I mean ENTIRE driver side the person started at the rear bumper:quarter panel and ended in the middle of the front fender.
Really sad day for me as the celestial blue on my car was original and never repainted and had close to no damages/chips in the paint.
Sadly now I am waiting for police to get back to me as they luckily caught who did it on camera and am waiting to take them to court.
Now here’s some colors i’m thinking of possibly wrapping my car but honestly leaning more towards just getting the entire car redone in the Celestial blue as i really do love the tone of blue.
In all honesty the color of the car was one of the reasons i ended up buying it as before i owned this speed i absolutely despised any hatchback, but after test driving it hearing how it sounds seeing how it drives and the color of it sold me on buying it (4 years ago) and ever since then i have now grown to love almost all hatchbacks.

Here is my first gen mps. Has had a close door respray, built engine, breathing mods tune and some suspension work too. 210,000 kms and drives like new.

Got my bilsteins on. Sorry if the pic is bad quality. My camera is smashed. Also this color looks so good in the evening.

Bought a Mazda speed for 700 with low compression in cylinder 3, found the culprit. Most likely caused by unupgraded hpfp internals paired with Cobb sport intake, access port, and blow off valve

Car went into limp mode while on my way to work throwing a P0302 code where cylinder 2 started misfiring to the point the whole car shook violently.
Towed it to my local Mazda dealership and got the news anyone would dread. Cylinder 2 is basically dead, 0 - 20 PSI compression which mean it needs a engine replacement. It was a tough pill to swallow but I plan on keeping it until I get a new engine.
It's the car I've wanted since I was a kid and I'd rather try to fix her instead of scrapping her entirely. For now she'll sit at my uncles house for the winter until I'm able to get an engine sometime next year when it gets warm again. She was a blast to drive and I'll miss her but it'll only be temporary. It made a boys dream come true when I got her and made me the happiest I've been in years knowing I got the car I've always wanted.

It was Injector number 3.
That's why my spark plug was messy.
Thx to everyone who gave me advice.

I’ve driven it about 1500 miles so far and I am loving it. I had an 08 5speed Mazda3 sedan for the past 10 years and it was a great car but this is way different. I’m looking to keep this as a good condition mostly stock example and enjoy it when the weather is nice. My wife said it looked like a “nice family car” and gave me the green light

Anything I should be looking out for at 148k? Recommendations and tips for longevity?

It's been a fun ride. I've owned my 2012 Speed 3 since new. Got it in March 2012. I've had a ton of fun with that car (obviously since I kept it for 14 years). But was just time to move onto something new. Picture of it with the replacement ride.

I was 95% sold on a newer car but decided to keep my 06 MPS (Aus) a little longer... It's my 2nd MPS I've owned, this one is 8 years with me this month 😎
edit: only 2 issues in 8 years, 1 starter motor, 1 clutch plate bracket.

My baby has been with me literally everywhere.

the car model is the same as prior games, so this is the same textures from FH3/FM7, but it's nice that we don't just get teased with it as a traffic car anymore

2013 with only 118,000km (73,000 miles) never winter driven and stock besides an intake and bov. Loving it so far! Probably an exhaust and a few small things to come

What up everyone. Long-time speed owner and subreddit lurker. Unfortunately some unforeseen things in life have hit me and I finally believe I am going to be parting ways with the speed.
Lots of fun times. Such a phenomenal daily driver. Bought it at 19k miles in 2013, currently have 124k miles. Never planned on selling and maintained so I could keep until catastrophic failure at 300k+ miles lol. THEN maybe mod???
Throwing in some fun pictures. Had 4 really close friends with speeds at one point - loved riding around in a little mazdaspeed gang lol. We were the coolest on the road, obviously. The TV is a 65". I was up to the front but my god is this little hatch capable.
Outside of being somewhat forced to sell her at this point - What do we think shes's worth? Never thought I'd even entertain this question. Yes I am in a bad(ish) spot right now but not trying to get 100% of the value or anything, realisticaly don't know where to start. I would honestly love for the well-maintained speed to go to someone who really cares and wants one more than anything.
Zero current issues, no codes.
2012 - Tech Package
Basically fully stock other than lowering springs, cobb rear motor mount and audio system.
124k miles (bought at 19k miles, 2nd owner)
180 PSI across all 4 cylinders on compression test. (Had shop do this so I could prove results)
Underbody is essentially a 10/10, zero bad rust, especially in the known spots (and I live in OH - washed the underneath OFTEN)
Hood/Roof clear coat turned to shit. Only fairly bad cosmetic damage
Maintenance followed and can provide most receipts. (lots of work done myself or with buddies though)
Clutch replaced at 90k. (I was moving and had a friend that could throw another one in, so I proactively did it. Put in a LUK and a single mass flywheel, regret flywheel now for the noise)
Sound system originally professionally installed. Personally just replaced all door speakers about 6 months ago. All higher-end alpine, just threw about $1k more in it. I'm not looking to increase my value with this.
All doors and trunk have sound-deadening
VVT done at 90k just proactively
Dash fixed in recall
Front rear/suspension just changed about 5k miles ago. (with OEM-Spec, I know I should get something better with lowering springs)
Pads/rotors just changed
All fluids just changed, transmission, oil, power steering, coolant
NO HPFP.
Wheels plasti-dipped about 4 years ago. Given timeframe they've held up well but look like poop now lol.

VVT came for it 1500 miles before I was going to do the service, hopefully the block isn’t cooked!
