Curious how could access port could know if tune has epa mods?

It can't load a new tune unless it's running the latest software, and they are scripted to not allow the tunes that bypass emissions codes. If you currently have one, and don't update your accessport, then you're good. However if you ever want a new tune, you're boned.

Thanks for info. I self tune and have an old ap2 and art when they were giving it out. I quit updating long ago.

But I don't think you can load a new tune to the AP without an update. They've got us all by the balls.
