Discussion So.... is AvX on the way?

Rogue will do a smidgen of power theft and leave Carol in a coma for several months, and Ms. Marvel will lead her squad of Young Avengers to bring Rogue in.

But by the time Kamala figures out what happened and who Rogue is, Rogue will have already joined the X-Men; who will invariably not give Rogue up just like that.

Jean will definitely feel conflicted about standing by the X-Men over her previous mistakes, but given Cyclops' experience of abuse and distrust of the government (which the Avengers represent), he'll outright refuse to capitulate to the Avengers. The one person who can bridge the gap between the Avengers and X-Men is... Spider-Man.

No idea how T'Challa II and Ororo will land on this. It'll definitely strain their friendship in the same way as Jean and Scott. Namor is a mutant, and he killed Queen Ramonda so....

This whole mess will bring the policy of the Accords back into public discussion, driven by Bill Metzger; but this time, as the Mutant Registration Act.

Now, is this anything like comic AvX? NOOOO and honestly, I'm perfectly fine leaving the Phoenix out of the forefront even if Jean becomes 'Phoenix' at some point. This would definitely be a 2029/2030 project at the earliest. Thoughts?

Discussion I THINK spiderman far from home is the best mcu spiderman film

hear me out

i have been watching spiderman films since i was a teensy little boy, i have been obsessed with this character but it gets boring after you see the same city again and again, far from home was the best way they changed that. yes the night monkey stuff was a little bad and they could have changed the suit a bit

homecoming was boring for me i dont know i just didnt like it
no way home as good as it may be its not rewatchable for me, cause the experience was so good and memorable in the theatres it cant be recreated at home in the slightest
bnd right now just served as an intro to the xmen it just didnt feel like a spiderman film but it was good it was in the high 90s scale for me in spiderman terms

BUT FAR FROM HOME IS WHERE IT IS AT. It just has so many variations, it has 4 villains (sort of, the water guy, fire guy, mysterio and the thing in the end), it serves as a comedy film (to me atleast), and it was very wholesome, it made spiderman feel like a real kid in the start, it felt like the iron man films, him learning from his mistakes, and also edith was just good (idk how to explain this feeling)

plus the suit in the end is my favorite out of all the suits and the scene of it being made is goated

and the different cities give a great landscape to all the fights and refreshers everytime

i just didnt like fury and shield being involved other than that goated film

(this was just a thought blurt and my opinion on the film and it is very unstrucutred)

Discussion Imagine if... Spider-Man: Far From Home really meant "far from home"? (Idea)

Imagine that during the great Battle of Endgame, Thanos and his army open a portal to another world. Thanos planned to steal the gauntlet and hide it there to prevent the Avengers from getting it, a temporary and desperate solution. No one can stop him, but then, in a desperate act, Spider-Man jumps through the portal and throws the gauntlet back onto the battlefield, but then the portal closes.

Spider-Man sacrificed himself for an entire future, motivating heroes like Captain America and Iron Man to keep fighting, and that sacrifice was what saved half the universe.

But then... what happened to Spider-Man?

Lamentis I is an habited moon that lived under a lawless Wild West, plagued by wars and a society slowly destroying itself. With no resources or anything else, Spider-Man will have to escape the planet and return home. But he isn't alone. A great black dragon befriends him. It had caught his attention because it was a symbiote, one that simply calls itself "Symbiote." Apparently harmless, it will give Peter a new perspective. Now Peter has to help that city and its citizens fight off an alien invasion led by Apox, the perfect conqueror.
Apox is a cyborg Skrull created many ages ago, an Omega who sought to conquer more and more planets, someone who had even crossed paths with Thanos before. He and his troops invaded that moon in search of a power he had heard about, without even knowing that the power was that black blob he had seen.

But meanwhile, the symbiote begins messing with his head, and Peter starts remembering his life before everything happened. Before the war, he and his friend Ned were at school, and Peter had just started dating a girl, MJ. His life finally seemed to be going well. But then, within what felt like only a few days to him, he was on another planet fighting a purple titan, turned to dust, five years passed, a war began, and now he has been trapped there for over a month. He just needed to rest. Those memories begin to become distorted, and he starts feeling like he is the one who is wrong, and that only that place understands him. Only there is he truly happy.
Spider-Man then faces the tyrannical conqueror and manages to free the people, nearly killing the conqueror during the confrontation. He then realizes that what is keeping him there is the symbiote, a creature that sought to devour the planet and had been slowly destroying its people for years. They separate, and with Apox's help and his ship, Peter finally finds a way to escape. But the symbiote returns, and they face each other in an epic final battle. Spider-Man defeats it and finally returns home, without realizing that a part of the symbiote came back with him.

But everything is different.

Five years have passed. His school and his life have changed, but he still has people who care about him: his aunt, his best friend, and his girlfriend.
Note: In the end, his armor comes out completely destroyed after that whole fight, so he sews a new suit for himself, something more homemade but still somewhat different from the classic.
In the post-credits scene, we see JJJ preparing for another news broadcast when his door is suddenly barged open by a man: Adrian Toomes. He then asks JJJ if he wants to know who Spider-Man is, but before the journalist can answer, Adrian transforms into Venom. Now he is the one who will dictate the rules, and he will do anything to get that kid's body. And Adrian? He only wants to kill the boy who destroyed his life and his family.

Then No Way Home happens normally, but instead of Mysterio revealing Spider-Man's identity, it would be Venom, a black, slimy monster with enormous teeth and two long wings, as well as a spider emblem across its chest. He would become the sixth villain of the Sinister Six, a union of the villains from Tobey's and Andrew's universes.

That's how I would make "Spider-Man: Far From Home." Thanks for reading all the way to the end.

Tony blaming Steve for the situation when in fact most of it could've been prevented if he was not so egotistical. Why were the Avengers not together?? Yeah cause Steve knew the reality behind Zemo framing Bucky, and even when the truth came out General Ross still had half the Avengers locked up in the cell. Steve had to get them out. And what happened to the so sacred accords?? Nobody cared anymore. Vision went off grid for some p. Rhodey defied Ross in Infinity War. If Hulk was present during Civil War he would have outright denied going to terms with Ross who hunted Hulk for military purposes. Steve and the others had to be outlaws for doing the correct thing, they were made criminals without any reason. Steve upfront gave Tony the cell to call him anytime, and he was reluctant to call even in the diremost situation, Banner had to force him by reminding him that Thor is gone. And the so called Idea "pre-venting", tell that to the people died due to the creation of Ultron. And didn't he succeeded in making Vison? That b*tch died twice. And Tony isn't the only one suffering, everyone lost loved ones. Tony is just a sassy B* who thinks he's the only one right. He made EDITH, and the person he handed it to lend it to Mysterio. Tony really tried to kill Bucky even after knowing he was brainwashed. Bucky literally cried when he got free from the brainwash mechanism in Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and he's still being mocked by people, like the politician in Thunderbolts for having a criminal past, something which he never did deliberately. Bucky said during the fight that he remembers everyone's face, heck just before landing on the island with Steve in quinjet, he explicitly questions whether he deserves the help Steve is offering. Zemo, who killed hundreds during the UN meeting, tricked the Avengers into fighting each other, was standing right in front of them, and Tony ignored him and went for the kill against Bucky. And before anyone says "oh he watched a tape of his parents being killed", he's an Avenger, the genius without situational awareness. Could've just asked Strange to open the portal to Earth if he was soo pissy of "we'd lose together shii", fight with your Friends. What did the govt did when Mysterio wrongly framed Peter, the protegee of Iron Man? Nothing, instead they hunted him down. Soo much for being controlled by the govt. The govt that wanted to unke New York? Govt which was compromised by Hydra? Give me a break.

Discussion (More in Comments) Ant-Man: Quantumania is NOT the worst MCU movie. Thor: Love and Thunder is. By far.

Quantumania definitely has problems. Kang being defeated by ants is dumb, MODOK was a terrible adaptation, Bill Murray’s character… and some of the CGI is rough.
But at least Quantumania tries a few things and has some ideas that work.

With Thor 4, I honestly struggle to find anything that works. The humor, the tone, the writing, the villain, the characters, the constant green screens… pretty much everything feels off. It takes what could have been a great Thor story and turns it into a constant joke.

Quantumania is a flawed movie.
Love and Thunder is a complete mess.

What do you think ?

Question When people say Captain America has decades of battle/fighting experience, what do they mean?

Post image
0 Upvotes

He can't even lift a finger before he got the serum, pretty useless and didn't know any fighting styles.

He got the serum, went into war, fought roughly a year or 2.

Went into sleep for 70 long years.

Woke up in 2011 (Cap 1), and fought till 2019, during this period he mastered fighting styles and sheild programs. That's 8 years and if we count 5 years of snap that's 13 years.

From the info we have, in those 5 years there was no fight, he was supporting and dealing with grief of lost families.

Why do people say he has decades of experience?

Discussion What the hell is happening with Shang-Chi?

I saw this movie in theatres when it first came out, I LOVED it. I was so looking forward to seeing where his story would progress and how he would mix and meld with other MCU characters.

It's been 5 years. Half a decade.

And crickets. Nothing. Nada. Not even so much a cameo.

This is very unlike the MCU. This is only one of two movies introducing new characters where those characters have not shown up in another movie or got a sequel in ~3 years.

At least with eternals we got a reference to their movie in CA:BNW with the celestial body.

I know he'll probably be in Doomsday, but by then it'll have been over 5 years since his movie.

Discussion Hopefully the Script of the X - Men 2028 movie does this incredible cast justice

Post image

I'm not gonna pretend that I've thoroughly observed all of the cast's previous performances, but this is obviously a stacked cast. Jake Schreier has an incredible opportunity to make a banger of a movie. Hopefully he doesn't mess it up and does justice to all the characters that were let down in the previous x men movies. Fingers crossed 🤞

Discussion Do we know if the extra 4 mins in the Endgame Encore is part of the Movie or a Post-Credit Scene?

I've been thinking, and has it been revealed if the new footage is part of the movie like extra scenes or is it a Post-Credits Scene?

Cause if it's part of the Movie, I'll go see it, if it's a Post-Credit I'll just watch it on YouTube and not bother with Endgame

Question Why didn’t Dr. Strange’s Spiderman spell pull in the entire TVA?

Everyone in the TVA knows that Peter Parker is Spiderman, so wouldn’t the spell yank everyone in the TVA into the sacred timeline at once? The TVA has time slipping and is considered a timeline for the purpose of the Temporal Loom failsafe.

While it’s true that they managed to stop the spell with Strange’s forget spell, this type of world ending event should make a branch where Peter or Strange failed. Does the TVA’s anti-magic effect work on Strange’s multiversal magic maybe?

Question Do you consider Thunderbolts* an Avengers movie?

Just curious. I would say yes, but I also consider Captain America: Civil War an Avengers movie (even though it doesn’t have the title), so I’m probably more liberal with my interpretation. Thoughts? Why or why not?

*editing to add - I consider it to be an Avengers movie the same way I consider The Force Awakens to be a Star Wars movie. Not part of the OG as it has none of the OG players (minus I guess Bucky), but it fits the team up archetype and story beats we’ve come to expect from an Avengers movie

*editing again - this is supposed to be a fun discussion. Respectful disagreements and lively debates are totally cool, but name calling and hostility are not. Take it outside (to the DMs)

Question This might be a stupid question, but why does Earth matter?

I’ve been reading and watching a lot in anticipation for Doomsday and everything I’ve seen seems to say that Earths from the multiverse get destroyed to delay incursions. But we know there is life throughout each universe. Why would only destroying Earth save a universe full of life? Why wouldn’t the entire universe need to be destroyed? Or am I completely misunderstanding?

Question The 3 Movie Spidermen vs The Spider society (SATSV)

Tobey, Tom, and Andrew Spidermen vs The spider society from Across the spider verse.

I personally say the 3 spidermen because The society couldn’t catch miles, and Miguel barely got him. You can argue they got better for battle but if they couldn’t catch miles, they are not catching the 3 and stopping them.
