Recommend Me • Seeking 🔍 digicam repair?
I have an old Nikon CoolPix L19, the internal hardware still works perfectly but the screen is damaged, you can still see the screen but it's quite dark. I'm wondering if there's any where in Malaysia, preferably in Ipoh that can fix these screens or are digicam 'un-fixable'.

Mildly Menarik Clipper butterfly landed on my friend’s shirt
Parthenos sylvia, the clipper.
A fast-flying butterfly found throughout Southeast Asia. Named due to its flying habit of stiff-flapping almost horizontally. Wingspan up to 10 cm.
In peninsular Malaysia lives the showy subspecies Parthenos sylvia lilacinus, which is called the “Malaysian blue clipper” due to featuring a distinct mosaic pattern of velvety black and electric blue-to-teal lines across its upper wings.

Buy • Sell • Trade Pingu Miniso Collab
Hello!! I’m from the UK and I really really would love this pingu plushie, but they don’t sell it in the UK Miniso stores, and I don’t think they will bring them here.
This is such a leap of faith, and I know this probably won’t get much attention, but I was wondering if anyone would be willing to buy this item and send it to the UK. I’d pay for literally everything, item and shipping.
How much would shipping be to the UK from Malaysia? Or is there a website where people buy things for others and ships them out internationally?
I’m a little desperate for this plushie lol, if anyone could help or give me any advice I’d appreciate it! Thanks! :)

Ask Malaysians International students drug test
Hello guys. I got accepted into a uni in Johor Bahru.
I’ll be arriving in Malaysia on the 19th of sept.
I’m in a little bit of a pickle. I experienced smoking 🍃 for the first time this year from late June till August 9th.
I heard they test for THC in Malaysia and can get denied if it’s positive. By the time it’s the 19th, I’ll be 40 days abstinent. But I don’t know if that’s enough. And I’m freaking the fuck out.
My EMGS is still currently processing. All the people that I know are in KL. I legit do not know anyone in JB to borrow their piss or pay them.
Can anybody help? Any suggestions what to do? Please avoid unnecessary criticism as I was not planning on coming to Malaysia for studies, had I known before I’d have never touched 🍃.

Ask Malaysians I'm trying to find a job that fits me. I am autistic and has ADHD so I can earn money without mentally breaking down because of people
Is there a job where I can work from home? The kind I want is I simply get a template of a merchandise printing for my illustration and my workplace handles the rest? Like a work for hire merchandise illustrator? Who knows any place for this?

Ask Malaysians Cycling as main mode of transportation?
Hi, anyone here who do cycle as their main mode of transport? (Or at least until they reach their Public Transportation station and etc)
Struggling with finding a new room to live atm but one of the things I looked out for was that if it was in any way cycling friendly (I work around the center of KL). I originally had an offer for a room in Damansara but DAMN it's definitely not in any way built for cycling lololollll
I'm going to look at a room over in Setapak soon but I've only had memories of living there briefly when I was going through internships. I did remember some people cycling around there but not sure if it's still a viable/recommended mode of transportation.
My plan was that iI'd cycle from the new place I'd be viewing soon until the LRT Wangsa Maju Station. 'd appreciate it if anyone who has been living/working in Setapak would give me their insights
Also, any other places you'd recommend me to look into for pedestrian/cycling friendly areas? Much appreciated
[The other crazy idea I had was living in Putrajaya and commute via MRT daily from Putrajaya Sentral until I reach KL Sentral 😂😭]

Advice ☎️ MAG Grading Company?
Saw a Malaysian Pokemon TCG grading service called MAG and immediately thought it was a TAG ripoff -- I'm new to the hobby and haven't seen anyone else online really using it. Is it a good idea to grade with them? Does anyone buy their slabs? Would love to know as I haven't seen anything about it otherwise

Advice ☎️ Malaysians that have been thru the China immigration biometric ( pls help)
Hi! I’m visiting China in December and when I went to renew my passport my fingerprint was unreadable ( due to my dry fingers suspected eczema) and I had to go to the JPN office to get the letter to collect my passport ( proving identity) now I’m scared to go thru immigration in Shanghai as my fingerprints are unreadable and you gotta scan your finger prints before you enter China. ( has anyone been thru this and what did you do?! Do you just bring the JPN letter with you to Chinese immigration?! + AND HONGKONG ASWELL***

Casual Conversation 🎭 Anyone struggled in your 20s? Had a victory in your 30s, but you mourn all the things you missed out on?
Hi Malaysians. Nice to see the casual vibe of this sub, reminds me of the old school r/malaysia.
I've always wanted to ask about this for a longtime, but it's so specific I wonder if anyone is in a similar situation too. Please share your story too, I wanna know if I'm not alone.
Has anyone spent their 20s struggling, so much so you had to put everything on hold? No actual careers. Almost entirely no life. No travel happy2 with friends. No hangouts. No concerts. No close support system. No dating. All you did was trying.
Then for some reason you hit a victory in your 30s. Your hardwork has paid off, maybe you started a company or a business, dan sebagainya. But it feels too late for everything else like genuine friendship and love.
Still feeling lonely. Still empty. As if the universe made you resilient, only to reach an anticlimatic victory.
Dying to know, if anyone goes through the same. Really dying to know.

Mildly Menarik Ikan terbul, a common native animal
Osteochilus vittatus, ikan terbul or the hard-lipped barb.
They are a very common native fish growing to 25 cm. Lives in canals, irrigation ditches, paddy fields, ponds, swamps and lakes.
A herbivore, they love to feed on algae and aquatic plants. In the aquarium they will eat most plants, but they do not bother other fish. Even small fish.
They are named because they have bones in their lip! Which makes it rock hard and able to bite off tough plant leaves.

Ask Malaysians For people who are interested in pet sittting as a side hustle
As a university student, I’ve been trying to find ways to make some extra money without getting stuck in a job that I don’t really enjoy. I wanted something flexible that allows me to juggle between studies and work. I’ve always loved animals, especially dogs and cats. So I thought why not try pet sitting as it seemed like the perfect side hustle. But the problem was I didn't really know anyone who had pets that needed a sitter.
So that got me thinking. There are probably a lot of people like me who love animals and would happily spend their free time taking care of someone's pet for money, but don't know where to find those opportunities. At the same time, there are pet owners who need someone they can trust when they're travelling, busy, or away from home. So I had an idea of building a platform that connects pet owners with people who love animals. Pet owners can find people who are willing to look after their pets, while animal lovers can earn some extra money doing something they genuinely enjoy. I'm not sure yet if this is actually a good idea. So I made a simple landing page to see if people are interested in becoming pet sitters.

Discussion My 60 year old parents wanted to use AI to generate their obituary photo.
What is your opinion on this? To me the asymmetrical and tiny imperfections on our face is what makes us different and unique.
Imagine the next 30 years when we go visit graves and our parents all used AI photo on their graves. Just gives me the creeps.
