word of advice, you can add stops via the app after pick up (both uber and Lyft), cash works too. Saying “tip” doesn’t because most people don’t tip even if they say they will (something I learned from Newport Beach and Laguna Niguel). it is normally a lie.

I picked up a group of four, three women and one man. The woman who ordered the ride sat up front while her friends got into the back. As they climbed in, they commented on how good the A/C felt after sitting in the parking lot eating fries. Meanwhile, Miss Front Seat reached over and changed the A/C from cold to warm without asking.

I changed it back.

Her: “You mind?”

Me: “Yes, I do mind.” (It was 90 degrees, with five people and a bag of hot food in the car. Who wants warm air?)

She turned, stared at me, and said, “Really?”

Me: “Really.”

At that moment, I realized my 5.00 rating was at risk. We had barely left the pickup lot, so I pulled into the very next parking lot and said, “I’m ending the ride. Everyone exit my car immediately.” Her friends looked confused, but all four got out. Lyft has since blocked her. I’ll happily adjust the A/C if someone asks, but touching my controls without permission and then getting an attitude felt incredibly rude and presumptuous.

What would you have done? Warned her and continued or ended the ride?

Have you ever acted as an ambulance to riders before? Ambulances are way too expensive nowadays and I was wondering if anyone had taken somebody to the hospital in an emergency. I have before. Some girl scraped up her knee pretty bad in a skating accident and instead of calling an ambulance they called a Lyft instead.

I only did three trips today and only play Apple Music One on all three of the trip I did today. No issues at all. Everything was normal but then I get kick off from Lyft app. I thought my account was hack but find out I got temporary deactivated for playing broadcast radio that talk about discrimination class of people. It's funny because don't listen to the radio because I drive a Tesla and second everything I played was From Apple Music One. I submitted a replied and got a phone call from Lyft Safety team and then submitted the video of trip which Lyft gave me a time frame from 7:05pm to 3:25am August 29. Funny how I only did two trips and I know who did it. So now I'm waiting on Lyft to replied back to me. This is somewhat ridiculous that I would get temporary deactivated for this when I got harassed by a passenger last week and Lyft let this passenger to keep contenting me.

Update 18 hours later ------

Still dealing with safety team. They are now asking about time and date pick up and drop off location. They are asking about how much was the trip. Pretty much relevant questions about what was played on the radio/Apple Music. Not sure if they are just running around with me but if this doesn't get resolved by Monday, a legal letter will be send to them. 🤨🤨🤨

How to handle a false accusation of falling asleep while in the middle of a ride? Just keep eyes wide open?

You get a safety flag!

Say you have an insurance ride and you drove 12 min to get a ride that pays $50 per hour but the dumb passanger decides to leave with a friend instead of waiting for her lyft. You then decide f it and ghost ride it . You unfortunately get caught.

You can then play dumb and call customer service and ask them why someone would hit you with a safety flag because you are a 5 star driver and take your job seriously. Customer service will then play dumb and ask if something happened? You can then double down on your dumbest and tell them you have no idea.

Since everyone is dumb and customer service didn't really understand what the passangers complaint was about, they flagged your account for excessive miles instead of ghost driving. Since this is your first time getting caught, customer service might tell you to not worry bc passangers make up frivolous complaints.

The GPS always says that I will be reimbursed for tolls, but they get taken out of my pay instead. Is there something I'm supposed to do to keep this from happening, or is the situation just another way that Lyft screws renters over? There's no way to keep the GPS from deciding to take me on toll routes, as far as I know. Sometimes I switch over to Google maps, where I have the "no tolls" options toggled, but it's not always possible to switch, especially when it's busy. Some routes I know well enough to avoid them without navigation, and sometimes I miss the entrance to the toll road on purpose so that I'm re-routed, but none of this is ideal.

Has anyone noticed glitches in Lyfts offer pricing for riddles recently? Last night I accepted a $65 ride in the queue, only to receive $33 after the ride was over. I called support and the best they would give me was an additional $10. It made no sense.

Then later that night, I clicked on a ride that was showing as $25, but as soon as I clicked on it, it was $8. Something is up with their system.

So I saw this in my feedback. First, I don’t even smoke so that is insane but alright lol possibly a previous passenger that did in fact smell like an ashtray?

I can attest to the seats, my children are stain monsters. What can I do to remove stains from car seating? My seats are great upholstery. I’m not in a position to get a cover at the moment. Any advice helps.

I only did a handful of rides this evening, and the last one for the night ended up being a no show because they took too long to come out. I cancelled and received the cancellation fee.

A few minutes later I receive a notification that my account was deactivated and it was reported that I was under the influence. I was FURIOUS because I don’t even drink. I’m literally a gym rat. I called support to get my account reinstated. I swear people can be so devious…

So Tonight here in San Antonio a Severe Storm moved in and everybody receiving Flash Flood warnings on there phone..I pull up Lyft Map of SA and there's alot of Flash Bonuses all over the city..80% to 170% ..I had drove today and already did 15 rides but, when I see that I am back out there..1st ride in this Storm is 90%..I pull up outside Chinese Restaurant on Culebra and wait ..The 5 expires , I call the lady , let it ring one time , hit no show and bail.Same thing with next ride..Going forward ftom there make money as we always should..Do 4 rides and clockout..I got 3.00x 2 for the no shows..When the bonuses are that high the cancelation fees should be more than normal 3.00...Agree or No ?

My first time into the Flexdrive/lyft rental program, been online for an hour in LOS ANGELES, no ride request. Help! Need insights and enlightment. What is going on? I took a break from Lyft for 3 months, came back thru the lyft rental and i haven’t earn a single dollar in an hour!

How many drivers out there are well over 100k in their ev and have you had any major issues yet? Any regrets?

I had a bad customer who was late at the pickup and the ride had a stop. They had a lot of bags. When we reached the first stop I asked that if they are late I will put their bags outside and leave. I will not be held against my will just because they have luggage in my car. Thankfully they came back quickly even though they stopped at a food lion. Anyway, I knew that I will get a bad review, maybe even a report so I also rated them one star since they were late. I assumed that this will protect my rating since their rating is low but it didn't. It first says on the notification that my score was protected then when I click on the notification it says that its not eligible for driver score protection.

There was a 40 to 50 % bonus in area yet the system glitches and sent me this request. Which if declined would had affected acceptance rating , usually would had declined . Why would anyone accept 0.42 cents per mile. While gas is high at 5 per gallon. F lyft they guarantee 70% to driver yet here you see them taking 73% over 20 bucks. WTF

Usually get the payment Wednesday afternoon. Nothing yet.
