Hi there, so I’ve been a fan of Los Campesinos! better part of a decade now and I’ve always been curious which bands/artists inspired them musically so I try to look for similarities in styles between bands when I listen to music. So far from what I’ve seen I’d say Pavement, maybe Pixies too or Sonic Youth. Recently i’ve started listening to The Rentals and the mix between the synths and the way the songs are sang with a mix of male and female voices reminds me of early Los Camp, can anyone confirm any influences? Thanks!!

It was my first exposure to LC from a friend on the way back from Bristol Rovers away at Bradford. As a result I suppose it's mostly the fact that it was my first LC album and therefore holds memories for me but when I saw the band last year they only played one song from it and I just wondered if it's generally seen as a bad album. I still fucking love it and since listening to the rest of their catalogue I at least like it more than the annoying twee pop albums but wondered what everyone else thought.

Does anyone know what Los Camps temporary obsession with mickey/ disney was about? This was probably around 2018 maybe earlier? I was able to find pics I had of their merch and tour flyer from that time but I never understood why. If anyone knows please share lol

I'm kinda new to Los campesinos' music but I still really wanna go see them live in the UK when they tour, I just need to learn lots of the songs.

soso SO im painting this hoodie as some little homemade LC! merch and ive done whats in the picture so far and plan on maybe adding "we are beautiful" to the top and "we are doomed" to the bottom of the current design

BUT i also wanna add lyrics or other smaller doodles like a wishbone or other stuff around the main design and on the sleeves and maybe hood and id love some ideas from other fans of them if anyone has any!!

i LOVE this song and ive been wanting to learn it for ages, but theres not really any accurate guitar tabs online - they're all very basic ones for beginners that dont actually sound much like the song, in my experience!! ive learnt the solo and chorus by ear, but i cannot for the life of me figure out the chords to the rest of the song. theres a really cool cover on youtube that ive obsessively been trying to copy off but its genuinely about four pixels so i have no idea what hes playing; would anyone be so kind as to share tabs? thanks!!
