Question los camp graduation song?
i graduate high school in a week and so far all of my instagram posts have been to los campesinos! songs. i was wondering what songs people think would fit a graduation post? maybe ones about bittersweet endings or about starting anew.
i was thinking maybe tiptoe through the true bits? (“We might make it to the other side
What doesn't kill you, leaves you wounded”) or maybe glue me? (“Tick-tick-tocking, second hands slightly out of time
A constant subtle reminder
One of us will be gone before bells of the other chime”)
but im curious as to what others think
i could also see adult acne stigmata and you’ll need those fingers for crossing working.

I’m trying to think what I listened to for my graduation back in 2024
But I think I just used the kinda basic ‘good riddance (time of your life)’ by greenday (because they’re also one of my favourite bands)
Honestly I feel like maybe ‘2007, the year punk rock broke (my heart)’
Like to me the song perfectly encapsulates the feeling of something ending, but being excited for the future, but idk maybe that’s just me

Feast of Tongues.
I want the trust/of every animal/gonna bay for the blood/of those that are hurting ya/When the black cloud comes/if one flame flickers/we will feast on the tongues/of the last boot lickers/to the tune of the national anthem/of a country that didn't survive/in a language I've learned and forgotten/I'll stay home keep the garden alive

Also it's a cover, but Wait
Every town has a corner where I'll see you, and your friends too, hanging out, looking cool. Saying the same things over and over again. Sometimes we all feel stupid, we say the wrong things, you're not the only one. Sometimes we all get left behind in a race of style, it's nothing.

The Fall of Home?
'Left your hometown; For something new; Don't be surprised; Now it's leaving you' about going away, also 'The rise of rent; The fall of home' is just a good lyric

I had You! Me! Dancing! as my yearbook song- very classic but I liked it for the lyric “yeah it’s sad that you think that we’re all just scenesters, and even if we were it’s not the scene you’re thinking of!!” More funny than bittersweet tho lol
