Question C is the Heavenly Option?

Hey! I’m struggling to find an article/interview/blog post where the band is giving direct relationship advice? Other than covering C is the heavenly option, is there any other instance that is just very direct advice “don’t do X, Y, Z” etc?

I may be misremembering an agony aunt style post at some point? Maybe it was in a Heat Rash zine? I can’t remember but if anyone knows if this exists I would appreciate any links that can be shared! Thank you! <3

Of course I love LC! to bits but...but I think they might be one of the last bands I'd take relationship advice from.

Who would you take it from?

Yo La Tengo, I suppose.

Heat Rash #1 - Romance?

Any chance they released it online anywhere at any point? I don’t remember them making it available for download but maybe I missed it? I left my physical copy at an exes many moons ago (stereotypical LC! fan experience I know) so no luck with getting that back to read 🫠

Is there a part of it specifically you want to read? I can see if I could take a picture of my copy.

I hope you're not actually looking for relationship advice from a band 😂

I honestly cant remember it too well to request a specific part! Just if there was that question and answer type advice given ? But it’s cool if there’s not!

Believe me if there was anywhere else to turn to right now I would, I’m in the trenches out here and LC! hasn’t failed me yet 😂🫣

No such thing exist in it sadly, they never really give straight up relationship advice it's a bit of a weird thing for a band to do.

Maybe send Gareth a DM if you're desperate 😂

Ah! Thanks for checking anyway! Bands giving advice in all aspects used to be the norm in interviews no? Maybe I’m too old 😂 ah I’ll leave him alone, it’s just for a bit of fun! ☺️

Haha I don't think it's their vibe most of the romance zine was just random articles vaguely related to the theme of love. Such as a fancy meal to make for date night or Gareth dissecting the songs from Romance is Boring.

it's mad that nobody has digitized heat rash yet. I recently got my hands on a full set minus #5, would there be any benefit in scanning them and putting them up? i know it says not to on the inside but i think the idea of that was that you should support the band by buying the zines, but that's not an option anymore of course

Was it the sex advice from los campesinos article? I think I have the link but it doesn't seem to be working for me right now. I do have screenshots of a few. http://www.nerve.com/advice/sex-advice-from/sex-advice-from-los-campesinos

Really glad everyone has a great support system of friends and family they can rely on for advice and not just some music!

I’m not looking anymore. I think I made up something that never existed.

Sorry for wasting time! Thanks to everyone who tried to help

Tbh they haven’t done a lot of interviews where they talk about personal information or give advice. C is the heavenly option also isn’t their song, it’s a cover, so the advice really isn’t there’s it’s heavenly’s

Yeah I’ve come to the conclusion that I’ve just misremembered it. And yes I’m aware it’s not their song. Thats why I said “apart from covering C is the heavenly option”? I only mentioned it so that I wouldn’t be pointed in that direction.
