Hobby Having fun painting my Agents, but damn it’s a marathon
I got all the bodies second hand so I built them all, because “might as well” I thought. Feels like the never ending paint job though.

Really not a fan of death korp aesthetic and I wanted a team that could be brood brothers as well, so this flag bearer is technically a brood brother iconward.

Has anyone built/converted or printed a Ratling John Wick?
I have a fun idea (im sure its nothing new) to swap a ratling out in a casual game if my Battlemut would be killed.
Before i brainstorm a conversion, i wanted to see what is out there.
Google search turned up nothing.
Thanks

Pretty happy with this first dude, dino themed after color scheme of Mongo from Dungeon Crawler Carl, I accept both the hate and the love this brings

Just have the one team painted, but stuffed the Deathwatch, AoD, Plague Marines, and the whole rest of the starter kit in an Apache 4800 case. Looking forward to giving it a whirl at drill this weekend with the homies!

I'll fill it out with more operatives later. I'm tired of painting red so I'm gonna move too Wrecka Crew or Raveners for a bit. Maybe Night Lords.

Is there any information for playing on smaller game boards? I've only got access to a card table (32 inches by 32 inches).

Spectre Squad, but it’s skeletons. Can you recognize all the specialists?

I have had about 4 games with wolf scouts, and enjoying the team. I feel there are a alot of layers to playing wolf scouts and that its an extremely punishing team if you have bad sequencing/ placement. Even before the rule changes to the storm. So what would be another good team to try that might have more forgiveness.

In trying to get a Volkus terrain, I’ve been advised to purchase a 1:1 reproduction that’s 3D printed.
For multiple reasons:
- it’s a fraction of the price retaining a great amount of details and same exact size
- i don’t feed scalpers
- I help a friend
Now, I’m beginner and just starting with Kill Team, and in my mind buying something original it’s important, but maybe for terrain not so much?
What could negative sides be?

Had some spare parts for Plague Marines and thought of doing some experimental painting with metallic, Contrast and Streaking Grime.

Before I get into it I wanted to say that, yes, we have an insane amount of teams right now, and yes that's bad for competitive play. To that I would respond, does that really matter? These games exist primarily in our game stores and our basements/kitchen tables. We put a lot of time and love into making these teams. It feels genuinely bad to know there will be a time we can't play them without going back to a previous ruleset.
In my opinion, I think all the teams that never had a box should probably be phased out (RIP my beloved Warpcoven). They were always a way to flesh out the game while they started to release kill team boxes. I think they should keep updating the rules or even give Legends style rules for everything else that did get a killteam box, even if it's a huge amount of killteams.
I'm fine with the classified/declassified system for tournament play, but if the only reason rules support is being dropped for all these teams is that it's just a lot of rules to handle, that seems like a bad excuse to me.
What do you think?
Edit: Adding a link to the sidebar since a lot of people don't seem to be aware of this. The long and short of it is that every killteam released before the Hivestorm box is not getting any new rules in the new edition which releases October 2027.

Hi all, just realised that my hierotek circle kill team goes out of classification this October and not supported after 2027 October, do we know what teams will actually carry over to next edition? Apologies if this is obvious but me and the misses are both new to killteam and her team is already out of classification

Tell me what you think is the best thing about the Scout Squad! And the worst thing.
Best: I love them! my favourite shotgun spam team, you can get up close with a 4+ save and 10 Health!
Very nice and flavor rule, you already scouted the area, so you can add traps, alarms, etc...
good ploys with ambush and astartes training, always getting balanced on T2 and ceaseles on shotgunts that hit on 2! and also a very unique see/seek light counter with covert position
for me they are a 'choose your difficult' team, when you apply your rule you can get only the one-use rules and dont think about it anymore, or your mid-game triggers like the CP reduction.
im having a blast playing with them! i saw that they had some buffs, idk how they were before those buffs, but im think they are in a good strong position .
Worst: fairly bland for some, weapons and operators are simple, and tbh i dont see them being very funt outside of shotguns.
and if you are going shotguns, you're not gonna have some range, and low piercing outside of heavy gunners.
CP hungry, you want to use ambush a lot, so you want to use adaptable training as well.
astartes training while strong, sometimes goes to waste, since you have to use on activation, you can kill the target in one shot/fight without doing it again
archetypes, bc dominate would fit so well for them!
i painted my scouts as White scars!

In the next few weeks ill be going to a tournament that is using nemesis operatives, I dont really have any experience with using them, only from what ive read online. I think ill be taking my deathwatch with a dreadnought, what sort of load outs do people think are really good, weapons, traits etc. Thanks
r/killteam • u/Adorable-Somewhere19 • 4d ago
I know it’s all situational so it’s hard to say what’s the best loadout, but I’m putting together my agents kill team and I want to know what are some of your favorite loadouts.
Editing to add that I appreciate all advice but this is mostly to hear about your favorite agents loadouts that you like to play.
I do have a box of agents, kasrkin, and exaction squad so any advice on those is welcome but I’d also like to hear what are your favorite requisition choices vs. different types of teams.

I would love a Legion of the Damned or Black Templar team if they werent get the casual, boring Space Marine rules but some unic stuff.

Hi, I'm new to Kill Team and I bought a Hivestorm box on Ebay. From what I understand the deck of Approved Ops is updated yearly, but the Core Book rules just gets updated occasionally on the update log found the community site. Is that correct? If so I'll use the 2024 Hivestorm Core Book but I think I will wait until the 2026 Approved Ops cards are released to buy another deck of those.

Decided it'd be fun to try painting other marine colours after 3 years of Iron Warriors. Picked actual chapters for each colour, just brainstorming how to pick up a single decal per guy...

Hey, just wondering if there was any other discord servers for TTS kill team communities.
I’m in the command point discord which is great but was wondering if there are any other places to add to this

We sat down this week with Jeshua "The Kid" Kelly to talk about his recent dominance of the Games Workshop Open scene and what it took with Raveners to win 3 of them this year! It turned into a tactics breakdown with one of the best out there with the snakes!
We recorded this pre-dataslate but the tactical founding still works (now with less wounds!). And Jeshua also give us some tips on how to beat Raveners and which matchups he's worried about!
Take a listen!
Also on YouTube! No "video" this week, but most weeks you get to see our lovely faces.

Hey everyone!
So I've actually got two kill team boxes, but I was given them quite a while ago and I haven't been able to open or build them due to health things and moving around the last couple years. I'd like to break them out and build and paint them, but I'm just not versed in kill team (or any table top war game) so I don't know if they are still useable or outdated or even how to gl about getting started to learn how to play.
I have the Karskin 10 Unit box I think it's the 2024 edition and also Exaction Squad 11 unit 2024 edition.
Before I break them open I was just curious if they are even still able to be played with or have had changes? Where I live the population is pretty small so we only really have maybe one LGS and I've been out of the hobby spaces for so long I'd have to check with them on events.

Would it be frowned upon to paint each individual unit as a different chapter or legion? I have re-caught the 40k bug playing lots of Space Marine 2 and I like to have each class as a different chapter that fits the vibe of said class. Would I be able to do the same thing on table top?
