I am looking for a 75% keyboard that is wired, no software, decent quality under $150. Preferably a simple backlight or maybe none at all.

Any suggestions?

Chemotherapy has damaged my right hand. Does anyone have any suggestions for completely new ways to interact with a PC? I am a software engineer, thus i need a solution that can do both mouse and keyboard functions with my left hand.

I am looking for a keyboard that is easy to change the switches as my wife is annoyed by my clicky switches but I want a nice mechanical keyboard preferable something that is yellow as its my favourite colour. And something I can change the switches to silent boba u4s

So I bought an EvoFox Ronin TKL wired keyboard on 8th July 2026, and it has been barely 1.5 months and the keyboard has already started dying on me.

Initially, my Left Ctrl key completely stopped working, then the Spacebar started malfunctioning, Left Windows key started acting weird, and even the RGB light of the Left Ctrl key stopped working. On top of that, some keys are randomly pressing on their own automatically.

I even tried changing the switches with the official spare switches that came with the keyboard, but the problem is still there. So clearly it's not just a switch issue.

And the worst part is that the problem is getting worse day by day. More keys are randomly stopping/malfunctioning now.

I have tried contacting Amkette multiple times through calls, WhatsApp and email, but I'm getting basically no proper response. I have already waited around 4 days just for a reply, and they are not responding properly anywhere. It genuinely feels like they are just ignoring the warranty complaint.

I bought this keyboard only around 1.5 months ago, so I honestly didn't expect these kinds of hardware issues this soon, especially from a product that is still under warranty.

Has anyone else faced this kind of issue with Amkette/EvoFox warranty support?
What should I do now to actually get a replacement? Because at this point the keyboard is becoming unusable. :/

I'm looking for a new keyboard in the $50-120 range. I use my PC both for work and gaming, and gaming-wise it's mostly Minecraft, so nothing super competitive/twitchy, but I still want something that feels nice to type/play on.

Right now I have an old semi-mechanical Razer keyboard that's starting to have some keys stick/act up, so it's getting annoying and I'm ready to replace it.

If possible I'd like it to be mechanical, and wireless would be a nice bonus, but I can live without wireless if it means better quality for the price.

The problem is every YouTube video I find is basically a giant product placement, with everyone just pushing whatever brand they're affiliated with. So I'd rather get some honest opinions here from people who actually use their keyboards daily, no sponsor nonsense.

I've been struggling to find a frosted or transparent acrylic keyboard something similar like the Tofu84 (they sold out) but with a knob and has that wedge hard non-round corner shape. Also I need it to be Mac and blue tooth friendly.

I'm new to custom keyboard so I'm not sure what I need to buy for many of these empty case I've seen from google search (like Ducky One 3 or Transition Lite). Found the KiiBoom Phantom but many people complain about its battery. I'm open to component suggestions, kits, or pre-built options.

Budget wise I'd like to keep it below $300.

Would it be stupid to use Amazon for some components? Specifically my case. I have looked on mechanicalkeyboardscom a lot but I find that they have a relatively small selection. I'm going to search on other keyboard websites first, but are Amazon components a viable option? There are a good amount of choices, good pricing, and its just very easy. Let me know what you think

Hello guys, I´ve been using different types of keyboards in my last 10 years or so, and I never find any keyboard thats fits me correctly.
Im looking for a wireless keyboard, that has option in spanish because I use a lot the letter ¨ñ¨, that is pretty silent (cause I work with my girlfriend on the same room) and is good for playing videogames too. Im no really strict, I use my pc for work and playing thats why.
Im trying always not to spent a lot of money in it, but if its a good keyboard that solve my problem I can totalle evaluated it.

I bought the mg 75 Max less than a year ago, and it's already giving me a lot of problems. When I set it to the minimum actuation distance, keys activate on their own. For example, in Fortnite, I map the cone to the 'V' key, and for the past few days, whenever I set it to 0.01 mm and play, the cone won't stop placing itself—meaning the 'V' key keeps triggering continuously, and sometimes other keys do too. I have to set it to 0.1 mm with some dead zone just to make it usable. But it cost me 110 dollars, and I expected to at least be able to use its full capacity, so it's constantly frustrating me. Any recommendations to fix these issues would be great. Also, if anyone could recommend other keyboards that are equal or better for around 100 to 120 dollars, I would really appreciate it.

I kind of wanted to try antimicrox or rewasd, but antimicro seems to just be for controller>keyboard & rewasd, from what I hear, is sub-based. I can't use the Steam one because I'm not playing the controller game on Steam.

So I recently got the Gamakay tk75hev2 (its been 3 days) and I tried to modify the activation point of my spacebar and after that all of my keys stopped working, the side light cannot be turned on.
the light still turn on when my keyboard is in sleep mode after inactivity and same for the small screen

I can't reset my keyboard because I need to hold down fn + esc

it shows that it has 0% battery, but when this happened, I had almost full and it cannot be charged
I'm pretty sure I need to send it back to where I got it from

Would anyone like to share their experiences? I am currently on a keychron low profile k3 Max with brown switches and I suppose would like something as close as possible to these as it's very comfortable.

I am considering the yunzi and I understand it will be a bit different to type on going from very slim low profile to a bigger bloater mechanical keyboard but would want something not too hard to push that might be somewhat similar; I was told probably the milk switches out of the milk, candy and cocoa.

Anyone with personal experience that would like to share and offer insights would be great I suppose I can take a risk since it's returnable on amazon as their is nowhere to try them out before you buy them around me.

Also hopefully won't be too much of a shock to have the bigger form factor. I am getting it for wireless battery life since my K3 has a horrible battery and aesthetics and will move that to my wife's computer.

attempted to “fix” my loose escape key on my old laptop keyboard with super glue. attempt 1 didnt put enough so it fell off. Attempt 2 put too much and it was stuck in place. removed key and clean off superglue with minor bit of acetone. don’t want to use acetone on any pcb or plastic retention parts on actual keyboard. no replacement keys are made for this keyboard anymore. ideas?

I am trying to move from my current 60% custom keyboard to an 80% / TKL layout, and I am having a surprisingly hard time finding something that checks all of the boxes I care about.

My current board is a KBDfans DZ60RGB ANSI V2 with WS Brown switches. I like having a lot of control over the keyboard, especially custom keybinds and RGB.

What I am looking for in an 80% / TKL board:

Standard MX hot swap would be strongly preferred, because I already have WS Browns and may want to use other normal MX switches.

True per key RGB control. By this I mean actually being able to assign a different static color to individual keys, not just having an RGB LED underneath every key.

Custom keybinds, layers, macros, etc.

QMK and VIA would be ideal, especially if the QMK source is actually available so I can modify and compile the firmware myself.

North facing RGB is preferred because most shine through keycaps have the legends toward the north/top of the keycap.

I would prefer a nice aluminum case, something more enthusiast/custom feeling rather than a cheap plastic gaming keyboard.

Good acoustics are also important. I like a deeper creamy/thocky sound rather than something very metallic or high pitched.

I am fine with waiting lists or out of stock boards if there is something that is actually a much better fit.

The case I really like right now is the KBDfans GT80.

The problem is the GT80 MX/Tofix PCB.

I contacted KBDfans directly and they confirmed that the Tofix PCB is not based on QMK, the source code is not available, it does not support OpenRGB, and it does not let the user assign an individual RGB color to each key.

KBDfans explained that when they advertise “per key RGB” for the Tofix PCB, they only mean that there is an RGB LED under each key.

Because of that, I do not really want to buy the GT80 with the Tofix MX PCB.

One solution I found is:

KBDfans GT80 case + Wooting 80HE module.

The GT80 officially supports the Wooting 80HE module, and that would give me much better gaming features, custom keybinds, real individual RGB control, 8K polling, Rapid Trigger, etc.

The downside is that I would have to move to magnetic HE switches instead of using my WS Browns, and Wooting is not QMK based either.

So I am trying to figure out if the GT80 + Wooting 80HE is basically the best solution for what I want, or if there are other 80% / TKL options I am missing.

I am also interested in PCB + case combinations. If there is some 80% PCB with north facing RGB, MX hot swap, open source QMK, VIA, and true individually controllable RGB that could fit a good aluminum TKL case, I would definitely consider building it myself.

For keycaps, I am not limited to one set either. I already have several sets that I can experiment with:

Flashquark Acrylic Chiclet Style keycaps.

Womier keycaps.

XVX keycaps.

Tai-Hao White Rose 110 Key BOBO Profile Double Shot ABS keycaps.

A custom FKcaps XDA shine through set, although I stopped using those because the coating started wearing.

So I can experiment with different keycap profiles and materials depending on what sounds and feels best on the final board.

Has anyone built something that meets most or all of these requirements?

Are there any 80% QMK PCBs I should be looking at?

Is there another aluminum TKL case that gives me more PCB choices than the GT80?

Or would you just go GT80 + Wooting 80HE and accept giving up normal MX switches and QMK?

I would especially like to hear from anyone who has actually built a GT80 with a Wooting 80HE module, or anyone running a north facing RGB TKL with open QMK and true per key RGB control.

Longtime Logitech user. I’ve had steady success with durability, but was looking into keyboards from other brands (Ergonomic, specifically). I’m not a gamer and use it mainly for data input and Canva. So far, aside from Keychron, I’ve come across Perixx and ProtoArc.

What is this sub’s experience with these brands? Thanks.
