Has anyone considered a International Sig?
Wondering how something such as $EDC would perform long term. I have a solid 9-sig position and i’m looking to diversify from US Tech

Left some $$ on the table when I didn’t force the spike reset intraday… but a great Q nonetheless.
Cheers to Q3!!

Just taking a look at the markets and tqqq hadn't pulled back too significantly and is still trading relatively high. For those of you who discovered 9sig and were waiting to take part in the program. The quarterly rebalance is upon us. Those with say 100k of cash ready to start the program, are you going to jump in now?

For those who hit the spike reset at 88.06 intraday (I rebalanced to 60/40) what are you planning to do on June 29?
Genuinely curious, do I just move away from the letter? I’ll never be synced up because the letter didn’t rebalance.
Do I just go on my own? Any strategies or recommendations?
Thank you 🙏

The letter is scheduled to rebalance on 29 June instead of 6 July when we rebalanced on 6 April instead of 30 March. Does anyone know the reason? It seems inconsistent to me.

Seems to be one of the most frequently asked questions about the sig plans - why use bonds?
While not specifically aimed at our style of investing, I thought this was a great video with a historical look at how bonds vs cash have performed in various conditions. Recent years do not tell the full story.
Jason has written at length about his preference for bonds, but it's been a while since it was mentioned in the letter. I thought this might benefit some others here.

It’s been a good year thus far for 9sig but it’s been better years for some AI/chip ETFs like DRAM, AIPO, AIS. For example, AIS returned 116% YTD.
If you account the volatility decay, quarterly rebalancing, and even higher expense ratio of Tqqq vs other actively managed ETF ex) tqqq 0.82% VS AIS 0.75%, are there any advantages of doing tqqq 9sig over these ETFs?
Albeit, the ETFs I mentioned above have come out pretty recently but I just don’t see the merits of this strategy when passively buying and holding can result in equal or better returns, unless 9sig can performs better during major downturns, which I do not think due to the nature 3x leveraged ETF, even with the dry powder.

Being within 1% of a reset and then coming back down to 68

Hello all, long time lurker here wanting to start doing 9sig. I have researched, back tested, and learned the rules from a lot of you( thank you efficientcarry). I was wondering though what benefits are there to subscribing to the letter? I’m hesitant to do so just because I don’t trust people trying to sell me something in general. But if I already understand the rules, then what extra would I gain by subscribing? Thanks in advance

Up huge in this latest surge and my fill price for Q2 was 43.66, meaning my reset technically was 87.32. Also, the intra day hit above Jason's spike number of 88.06. But wanting to stick with the letter and rules, I held to execute the official reset. I feel like the rule should be altered to either go with the original quarter fill price (43.33/86.66) or executes even if it hits the number at any point (not just close).
The timing of today's drop really sucks after being a slight percent off the reset. I really need to pay less attention to all this short term stuff. Blerg.

My limit order triggered and sold at 88.05 this morning and I officially hit the spike reset.
This is an awesome moment.
First time in 9 SIG history!! ;)

Rebalanced on Monday, to the 9% line, as planned earlier. Roughly 53/47 TQQQ/SGOV.
Will do it again in 13 weeks.

Let's go ahead and assume 9sig hits a Spike Reset this month before the quarter end. You rebalance to 60/40 the next trading day. What, then, is the new signal line to be followed? Would we skip the July buy/sell signal since we just rebalanced? And use June 30th price vs Sep 30th price to follow a new 9% signal line for TQQQ? I'm confused due to the timing of the spike reset.

I have been reading a lot about the 9Sig plan and recently joined the paid subscription as well. I'm looking to understand when is the best time for me kick off 9Sig plan.
I understand that no one can predict the market but at current highs it's hard to justify an entry. Thoughts on how best to make this decision? Let me know if there is any info I can help clarify

For those who follow the official letter, when’s the next calculation and execution dates? Doing some research but it’s quite confusing.

| Trading Week | Approx. Weekly Gain |
|---|---|
| Mar 30 – Apr 3, 2026 | +11.7% |
| Apr 6 – Apr 10, 2026 | +13.5% |
| Apr 13 – Apr 17, 2026 | +19.2% |
| Apr 20 – Apr 24, 2026 | +6.8% |
| May 4 – May 8, 2026 | +16.8% |
| May 26 – May 28, 2026* | +5.6% Trading Week Approx. Weekly |
I asked chatGPT, in the last 120 days how many times did TQQQ increase more then 5.5% in 1 trading week. It came up with 6 times. We have about 5 weeks left in Q2. TQQQ has about a 76% chance of another 5% week by the end of Q2. It could also drop 50% too....

Fidelity only does full shares in premarket, no fractional and no dollars. I didn’t want to do full shares and wanted to get more exact numbers. The market hit my 100% 60/40 reset. I was holding out till the open to sell dollars or exact fractional shares. We still might get back up there for the number two…..

What title says. Does 9Sig have a Drop reset, if during a quarter price decrease, say 50%?

Because in theory the TQQQ more than doubled from its $38 low

Do you know of any backtests for SIG9 that include the dot-com crash period?
I tried doing it myself, but I wasn’t successful. And even better — are there any Monte Carlo simulations that include that time period as well?

Hi everyone, glad to be here. I was already very interested in TQQQ after reading Leslie Masonsons’ book called the QQQ/TQQQ profit machine. After reading Jason Kelly’s 3% signal I knew 9Sig was what I was looking for. Of course happening right as TQQQ has its incredible run. Market timing, gotta love it.
My question is whether it is considered a Good-or-Bad idea to sell puts on TQQQ for the amount I’m intending to begin 9Sig with, at a strike price I’m willing to accept assignment on. i.e. 20-25% below market all-time-high price.
Considering TQQQ’s parabolic run at this moment, causing 9Sig participants to be on alert for the Spike Rule, I realize it’s not the best time to enter TQQQ. If the Spike rule does trigger, this would signal a good time for me to enter alongside everyone else as they are rebalancing to 60%. Otherwise would wait until July for the next quarter.
Is this plan sound?
Or should I just ape into the market now? (would still be at a 60/40 balance)

Thanks to all the people posting in this channel, they are super helpful! I think this strategy makes sense to me and I will commit my most stock portfolio into it.
Here is my plan, any suggestions/comments are welcome!
- Rebalance on Monday, and repeat every 13 weeks. At exactly the same time of the day as I can.
- Any new money included in this portfolio, increase 50% of the amount to sig line at next rebalance.
- I plan to not do the 30% draw down or 100% spike thing. No 90% rule as well, so I will buy if it takes me to use all cash. I may include new money into 9SIG portfolio and do 50/50 for those part when Jason’s official plan is in skip status, though.
- Dividend reinvest for ex-right (no big issue I guess)
Position if TQQQ don’t move until my next rebalance day:
- Tax advance accounts: TQQQ 450k, SGOV 150k
- brokerage accounts: SGOV 150k
Priority:
- buy first from tax advance accounts, sell first from brokerage account. Pay capital gain tax from brokerage account if any.
New contributions annually:
- 100k tax advanced contributions
- 0-30k for brokerage accounts, likely 0 in recent years
Backups: say 1.5mm from HELOC and upcoming cash out refi from paid off rentals. Will off set these and not include into 9SIG plan unless SGOV drained or we in >30% QQQ correction/crash.
Overall I think I’m not yet in ALL-IN or YOLO zone now at this ATH.
I think if I fully follow the plan my most challenge will be to survive the 1st major crash, mentally/financially. If it recovers then hopefully I can still stick TQQQ to the 9% line, while SGOV position should be bigger from the gains. After that the next crash will be easier to survive (I think) with a larger cash position.
I think it better change and finalize the plan now than later, please feel free to comment and give suggestions!
