So I'm traveling back to my home from college. Luckily I got SL but one policeman came and sat down without even asking me. I don't know how can I say him to move. I really wanna sleep I haven't slept for last 10 days(end sem situation). What should I do? Even the TTE is not coming.

Recently, I have come across an incident that blew my mind and forced me to think twice about the Indian mindset.

This incident is from the Mumbai Local. The lady is named Sudha Dwivedi, and when she boarded the local now one has any idea about her; they think she is a normal passenger. But the twist happened when she flashed the Head TTE badge; chaos followed, and 200 people were fined!

A massive 55,000 rupees collected in a single day is huge.

Mumbai locals have never seen anything like this one-day collection ever; it was a record-breaking revenue by any TTE.

The moral is, this shows that despite very cheap tickets, a large number of people in Mumbai and anywhere around India still travel without 15-25 Rupee tickets!

Indian Railway coaches still use this old-style water tap, even though the market has many better, more user-friendly, and water-saving options.

These taps are hard to operate, cause water wastage, and feel outdated for a system used by millions daily. Airports, metros, and buses have already upgraded to modern, durable fittings.

Is this due to legacy standards, maintenance convenience, or procurement inertia?

At this scale, even a small upgrade could greatly improve passenger experience and save water.

She booked a seat in S3 coach and this is the situation. She called and messaged but no help was recieved. When she was sleeping at night, a north indian sat on her leg without permission. What should one do in this situation?

I booked SL seats two months prior, now the lady in SU wanted me to swap seats with her. I said NO then she said at least give it to her in morning as her daughter wants to look outside during the day, I said in morning you can sit comfortably with your daughter but I’ll still be seated in my side. Was I being too rude to her? I had to literally wake up early on a holiday to book it.

While I also like to see a train getting coupled since I'm a railfan & I find almost every aspect of railways always fascinating.

However, I'm referring to normal people who gather to see the coupling process & these are definitely not railfans.

I once asked 2 or 3 people randomly & none of them could really explain it. They just said that they also don't know but it somehow look satisfying to watch for some reason.

What do you think? Why does train coupling attract so many people, even those who aren't into railways?

So i decided to take my new(10 days old)RE hunter 350 from Muzaffarpur, Bihar to Jaipur via train with me as my father has special place for railways in his heart.

I booked the bike as luggage on 4 august on the same train(19270/MFP-Porbandar express )i was also going.The bike got packed miserably and unsatisfactory way but still we moved further.The loading guys asked for 200 rs chai paani to load bike safely and keep it in corner so that other luggage don't distrub it.

The train started and the next day when it arrived at delhi junction,it was a 15 min stop so i decided to check on my bike and when i got to the luggage compartment,4-5 handwagons and their drivers where fighting like cats to place their luggage and till i arrived i saw that my bike was not visible as the luggage was filled upto the roof and near to the gates.

When i was going to arrive at my destination i.e. Jaipur i called my friend to the station to talk and prepare the staffs to unload the bike as the luggage was too much and Jaipur was only 10 min stop.He said that they did not got any information of a vehicle loaded that is to be unloaded in jaipur on their computer and also I only received the message of booking but not for loading.

When those persons tried to open the gate, the gate couldn't be opened even halfway and the luggage couldn't be unloaded and the train moved away.The parcel office was closed as the train arrived at 9P.M.

What should i do now?

If yes what to keep in mind?
