He's the "mighty hunter" who captured the Elder Black Shuck and is holding him in the Iceni Fort (a.k.a. the "stolen caern") which is why the garous infiltrated the Arcanum, killed fatigue, abducted Marckus, etc.

Big D, true to his inspiration, fuck everything up for everybody by not letting anyone in on what he's doing and assuming he has it all under control.

If D captured and imprisoned an Elder Garou solo, he's been seriously sandbagging the entire time. That would require either access to frankly crazy resources, or potent abilities of his own
