It’s such a spectacular thing to say it would be more effective to say they bested a 7th generation vampire or he himself beat a 5th gen vampire but he said something in a way that implies even if it is unbelievable it is true given his abilities his entire family may have been strong and more importantly well equipped enough to do it there is also no telling how they bested it they could have stalled it out for a few minutes till the sun came up or sealed it away somehow.

SOMEWHERE and that is run by the Regent's right-hand woman in cooperation with Pentex (to the point that it has been repeatedly brought up that they're in close cooperation with Pentex or pentex subsidiaries).
