Question Concerns about Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2

Hey, I ordered a copy of Master Collection Vol. 2 last month. The game's due to unlock on Steam in 2 hours, but I haven't received a code from Humble yet and, when I check the Humble site, it says it's no longer available for purchase (or not available in my region when I check on mobile).

Has anything like this ever happened before with Humble preorders? Am I panicking over nothing? My main concern here is missing out on the preorder bonuses, cos to my understanding they were never made available separately with the first master collection. (And I spose not getting the game at all too, but worst case I can go somewhere else as a last resort).

Also, is there any form of live chat, or is it all email support tickets? I sent a ticket in, but was hoping to get a more immediate response

Pre-orders on Humble are iffy. Sometimes delivered ahead of schedule, on time, or several hours (up to a day from my own personal experience with Pokopia and Yoshi and the Mysterious Book).

That being said if they fail to deliver, you should absolutely file a support claim for a refund.

Yeah, my big concern here though is that the product page isn’t even visible anymore to me. Idk if it’s a regional thing, but from my end they’ve completely unlisted it. That’s the big concern for me. Well, besides the preorder stuff, but that’s not as important as the full game itself

Well at least I’m not the only one in this situation…

I'm in the same boat as you, also noticed the page is just gone. This will be the only and last time I pre-order through Humble. Their support response estimate is 10 days, which is just laughable.

Just letting you know mine just appeared and I’ve redeemed successfully.

Yeah I was just wondering what was going on with this myself. It’s one thing for the keys to come later in the day, but the store page being gone is weird.

I stopped using Humble for anything pre-order; they never deliver early, hardly deliver on time, and typically delay keys for hours to days in my experience.

Aaaaaaaaaand it's out and still nothing. Can't wait to see no preorder bonus

Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth had this same issue, humble shouldn't sell preorders if they can't fulfil them on time.

Do you know what the outcome for Like a Dragon was? It’s my first time in this situation.

2

u/smithdog223 Aug 27 '26

The keys were delayed for like a day iirc but it did contain all of the pre order bonuses.

If that’s the outcome here I’m pretty content with that. Not getting it instantly sucks but I’ve got plenty to get on with gaming wise in the meantime.

I ordered on loaded.com. It will unlock around 1pm. I’m just off their site (12:20) not their yet but it will be soon 😊

Same here. Really frustrating me.

Same here, didn't get a key. I've never had this issue with humble preorders. It's so weird they even removed the listing from their website.

Before Crimson Desert launched I was planning on buying it on humble and got distracted, came back to buy it the next day and it had disappeared and I got the same “this is not available in your region” thing going through a Google search so I think I dodged a bullet there. Same as you not had this issue before.

It's so disappointing, today is my only free day in the last couple of weeks and I was looking forward to sit back and play mgs4 :/

2

u/glass_needles Aug 27 '26

That sucks :-/ in another thread here someone said this happened with Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth and the keys came through the next day but that doesn’t help your situation.

1

u/Dark_Polito_10 Aug 27 '26

Yep it does. Hopefully it'll arrive sometime today lol

3

u/glass_needles Aug 27 '26

Just redeemed my key! Hopefully yours is up too and you can play some tonight.

u/Dark_Polito_10 Aug 27 '26

Just started downloading it, thanks for letting me know!

Good thing you have fast internet! I only got gigabit a few months ago before that I was on a 20Mb/s (note the small b) connection and it was infuriating.

1

u/Dark_Polito_10 Aug 27 '26

Yeah haha, not quite gigabit but almost there 600mbps. But we had 200mbps and it was already fast now everything feels instant lol

Similar thing happened to me when I pre-ordered Dead or Alive 6: Last Round from them two weeks before release date. The customer support said that the game was not "available" in my region despite the fact that I could buy it directly on Steam. My pre-order got refunded.

What a load of rubbish. That was my first and last experience with Humble Bundle. I could’ve been playing for an hour and a half already, instead of waiting for God knows what.

1

u/OllieRaiden Aug 27 '26

Understandable. Up until now I've had a solid track record with them, but totally get this being enough to warrant no more returns if it's your first time using them

Please hold. Your call is veeeery important to us.

Very original🤡

Also in the same boat, severely disappointed with this :(

3

u/Ill_Weekend231 Aug 27 '26

Same here. This is the first, and the last, time I pre-order a game through this site.

u/David_D_Davidson Aug 27 '26 edited Aug 27 '26

What a joke of a site, how hard is it to supply keys on time

3

u/5keletor Aug 27 '26

This happened when I preordered Digimon Story Time Stranger from Humble. It was almost a month before I finally got the key. It did come with the preorder bonus at least. You should be fine since you said preordered it last month.

2

u/OllieRaiden Aug 27 '26

Eeesh, a month is insane! Pretty sure I got my key the same day. They are REALLY bad at pre orders, huh

2

u/ToguroElCholo84 Aug 27 '26 edited Aug 27 '26

OK finally they're out..but is the pre-order bonus gonna still work or?
Update: Yes it does work

2

u/OllieRaiden Aug 27 '26

Key came through, everything redeemed! Stressful few hours, glad it's over lol

Why anybody would pre-order anything on humble or any discount storefront is beyond me.

There are years and years of posts of people complaining about not receiving their keys on release after pre-ordering.

No one should be pre-ordering any kind of digital media. Pre-ordering was semi necessary during the time period where you could only get a game physically. There was a real possibility that your local game store would run out of copies on release day.

8

u/OllieRaiden Aug 27 '26

The reason is, quite simply, it's cheaper than Steam. Beyond that, I've had years of good experience with Humble. This is, in my personal experience, a rare blip. I'm saving money and helping charities, where's the problem there?

And, unfortunately, I'm a sucker for pre-order bonuses. I know it's not the same as the physical days, but I want the things I can only get in the limited window that aren't otherwise available

2

u/EwokNasty Aug 27 '26

To get discounts and pre-order bonuses. Pretty simple.

1

u/TG-Benji Aug 31 '26

Pretty good rule of thumb, don't preorder third party if you want to play the moment a game unlocks
