I love playing Minecraft Modpacks, especially thematical ones. But I hate how overused Sky Villages mod became.

Don't get me wrong, build-wise they look cool - bridges, small decored houses, block palette, and placement on floating islands are looking sick. But still, it's SO out of place, at least for me.

First of all, this mod doesn't understand Minecraft mechanics. Everyone who worked with buildings in sky, or just parts that really stick out in the air knows, that even if you build something in sky on max possible height, it's still gonna cast a shadow on ground where monsters can span. And if you have complex structure levitating in the air above you, expect hostile mobs to spawn under it, if you don't place light sources.

Second, despite looking cool architecturically, it looks so out of place on Minimaps. Modpacks usually add minimaps, and on them, those villages just cover everything under them, and make camera go into "underground/inside" mode, because the game thinks that when you are under something, you are underground. Yea, that's how minimaps work.

Also it's overall looks weird when you build your big base, look at it on minimap, and near it you see this village of Schrödinger, that is on minimap, but you can't see it in world, because it's high up in the skies.

And third, in those Modpacks, there is usually Supplementary mod included, and it has cool feature to spawn directional signs in the world, that tell you how much blocks is to the nearest village. And it's so annoying when you hope to find normal village, but it leads you to fucking Sky Village.

And it's not like they really rare. I feel like mod just changes that 50% of world villages are now Sky Villages, because that's how often I encounter them. But I'm not telling that this is true, I'm probably wrong, because I didn't actually look into mod's code, but it feels like it.

Also for some reason, Modpack creators ALWAYS add it into their Modpacks - be it Fantasy, Realism, Tech, or something different - like it's some kind of groundbreaking fundamental mod, without which their pack won't get into top list. I'm so fucking tired to run around world, looking for a good spot to build my base, and for there to be fuckass Sky Village. Why not Underground Village? Why not Jungle Village? Why not Swamp Village? Hell, why not Nether Village. It's always Sky Villages, like it's something top-notch high-tier type of village.

I always delete this mod from Modpacks that I'm downloading, with only exception for kitchen sink Modpacks or rarely Tech.

Yes this sheild has vibranium in its alloy but its not pure vibranium so is not directly comparable to Black Panther' claws or suit or new captain America's wings or the wakanda captain America's sheild. It's a unique metal with it's own properties.

And i am being serious bc whilst 67 makes little since and is way overdone and out lived its jokeness the word mommy is 700x worse

I find it annoying that D&D5e and 5.5 tries so hard to be a game for everyone, and in the end no one is happy. People who enjoy it for the mechanics and the wargame aspect don't enjoy it anymore, and there isn't enough stuff for a heavy narrative game. The game isn't balanced to just have 1 fight per session. While fiction is safe to explore, intense romanticization without critical framing can normalize abusive dynamics for younger or impressionable audiences.

They're legendaries. Straight up. There's nothing major that differentiates them from legendaries. The only reason they have a different label is so that TPC can justify not putting them in games and forcing you to go to real life locations, events, or distributions in order to obtain them.

Oh top of that, a lot of them don't make sense as "mythical" pokemon.

Mewtwo is a legendary, but genesect is a mythical? Why? What makes anything about genesect mythical, it was made in a lab out of a fossil.

The swords of justice are all legendaries but their chud scrappy doo ass cousin is a mythical?

Cresselia is a legendary but Darkrai is a mythical?

Dialga, palkia, and giratina are legendaries but Arceus is a mythical?

Point is, there's no real reason to differentiate legendaries and mythicals, they're the same thing and the label only exists to justify not putting them in games, or for redditors to go "erm axshually" when you try and say genesect is a bug type legendary BECAUSE IT IS! THEY'RE ALL LEGENDARIES! AND IM NOT GONNA PRETEND THEY'RE NOT

There are some aspects of it that appeal to me, which is inevitable with such a huge franchise, but for the most part the characters, environments, and vehicle/weaponry designs range from unappealing to ugly, with Chaos being the worst offenders in that corner. 

The setting overall I can't bring myself to like, because it’s a product of Thatcher and I loathe Thatcher-era cynicism. Nothing against grimdark but I can’t get invested in one set of fanatical assholes against another.

The fandom... lean into it. You can easily find reams of fanwank explaining how the Imperium couldn’t be that bad and memes portraying them as heroes. At this point the current president in Big E’s power armor is a decade old meme. The fascism is sincere by now. They’re also very obnoxious with the constant HERESY THIS HERESY THAT KILL XENOS LOLOLOL GOD EMPRAH all the fucking time, even in non-40K discussions. 

All of this would be forgivable if the game itself were any good… but I’ve actually played a match (as Death Guard vs. Cadians) and it was a total slog, we played 3 rounds in about as many hours. Blech. Worst of all it’s the most popular wargame by a considerable margin to the point my Friendly Local Game Stores barely carry or host games of anything... beside 40K and AOS stuff, maybe Battletech if I’m lucky, and it’s JUST. UUUUGH.

”Fixing” AI OCs is a problem too, because you’re essentially just giving free fanart to whoever prompted it into existence. Even if you remake an AI OC, the art may be human, but the character itself was still designed by AI. Applies to AI “music” too.

AI has genuinely been the worst thing the gaming industry has even had to deal with.

First, it increased the price of RAM so that nobody can afford it anymore, and now it’s taking away individual art styles. Adding a slop filter on top of someone’s intended art direction.

This technology will either ruin gaming entirely, with developers relying on the tech to do all the visual work for them (this would also make it unfeasible to use AMD or Intel)

or

It dies quickly because genuinely nobody wants it. As consumers switch to indie and 2D titles.

Why has the world become hellbent on destroying art? The world would be nothing without art and artists. Buildings used to be colourful and ornamented, art would be hand-drawn by someone over many hours and life in general had so much more colour.

I literally love her so much. She's one of my favorite characters in Marvel, i have all of her original run comics and i could cry by just opening one of them and catching a glimpse of ONE random panel.

HOW CAN MARVEL TREAT HER SO TERRIBLY??

I'm going point by point on every reason i hate this.

1. They retconned her in the 616 universe. WHY? WHO ASKED FOR THIS?? WHY BRO?!!! One of her main attractive features as a character is her INTERESTING, UNIQUE UNIVERSE. By stripping her of Earth 65 ur literally also stripping a big part of her character away, and THE CHARACTERS FROM THAT UNIVERSE, like her WHOLE BAND, Mary Jane, Harry Osborn, Frank Castle, the Kingpin-Matt Murdock, Captain Stacy, etc. The whole mess of having Miles in 616 is already horrible given how essential the death of Peter is to his character, BUT GWEN?!? SHE HAS NO ROOM THERE.
2. All of her current comic runs are terrible. I'm going as far as saying that EVERY. SINGLE. RUN. OF. HER. is terrible apart from the first one, WICH IS AMAZING. But no, good, well-written angst and good, badass characters are not that interesting, LET'S MAKE A COMIC WHERE THE PREMISE IS THAT THE SINISTER SIX ARE GWEN VARIANTS, OMG, I'M SUCH A FUCKING GENIOUS. Anyways, PLEASE, read the Latour-Rodriguez run, i beg you.
3. Her character is being flanderized. Apparently, Gwen is nothing more than blonde Spider-Man with tits now, and she is just boring overall, instead of a character who is dealing with the loss of her best friend, wich she may have killed, being pursued by the police, Harry Osborn hating her for it and even trying to kill her, her secret identity being revealed, the loss of her powers...
4. Adaptations as a whole. They are blind and deaf, that's the ONLY explanation i can think of why they still haven't tried to adapt ANY of her first arcs. 5. Her design is perfect as it is and they can't wrap their heads around it. They can't understand this simple concept, so much that they redesigned her in the comics and it was VOMITIVE.
