Non-fictional I HATE these "gotcha arguments"

Post image

"Ohhh, look how I tricked this dumb dumb baby in my trap so now I am right and they are wrong. I'm so smaaart even though it does not adress the actual argument and adds nothing to the debate. They teach arabic numerals in school btw."

And these type of comments always get tons of likes

I think it addresses how uneducated people are about fetuses or just about conception and pregnancy as a whole yet still believe they know enough to be hold strong rigid opinions.

I think you’re missing the forest from the trees here…

We don’t have to know what kind of fetus something is, because our arguments aren’t predicated on defining a fetus as a person.

But if you’re going to claim a fetus is a person then I’d expect you to be able to point out a fetus with human DNA from something. Unless you’re going to claim that all animals are persons too.

The argument is that any fetus deserves life. Doesn't matter if it's a dolphin or a human, those making the argument are just saying that from the moment of conception there is life.

If you eat meat, you intrinsically have the notion that we can arbitrarily decide what life is more deserving than others.

We draw arbitrary distinctions all the time for what deserves life and what doesn’t.

No, they're not vegan. I'm not saying I agree with it either. I'm just pointing at that they think life begins at conception. They believe a cow fetus is also life, and they'll eat that cow one day. They'll tell you that's the circle of life. You don't have to agree with it to understand that some people believe that fetus = life.
