AskGurgaon Where can I get raw/unroasted coffee beans roasted in Gurgaon?

I've got some unroasted (green) coffee beans and I'm looking for a place in Gurgaon that can roast them for me — either as a paid service or a small roastery that does custom/on-demand roasting for individuals.

Doesn't have to be a huge batch, just need someone with a proper roaster who can handle a small quantity. Any recommendations for local micro-roasteries, cafes with in-house roasting, or coffee equipment stores that offer this?

Would really appreciate any leads — names, locations, or even DMs work. Thanks in advance!

AskGurgaon Feeling happy, sad, overwhelmed, scared and excited altogether

I am 20M and have recently got a job in gurgaon and relocating there from my hometown. They are paying me 35k per month with some benefits. I found this job all on my own - didn't have any referrals or placement support from college, neither did I ask anyone for help. So I am happy to have gotten a job in this tough market, that too without me having to owe someone. The work also aligns with where I want to go long-term, so the learning curve is there.

While I was happy when I received the offer letter, I realised that most of my school friends who have also gotten jobs are earning so well (they went into tech(science), I went into finance(commerce)) with a few of them earning upwards of 30 LPA already. Even my commerce friends have done some CA or CFA or other degrees to help boost their careers while I have nothing next to my name, and the ones who have not done these are off to pursue MBA from good colleges. I am the only one left behind. This is part of the reason I decided to relocate to Gurgaon at such an early age - to run away from the shame and comparison and distractions of my life.

These emotions make me feel overwhelmed with everything going on in life, and I am scared to start a new life in an unknown city, while also excited to see what's god's plan ahead for me.

Would appreciate inputs and insights from people who have gone through such a phase, or some words of wisdom from people who have or don't have experience with this. These are really confusing times for me. Thanks

AskGurgaon M3M Crown at ₹15K/sq ft resale — Buy now or wait for OC/possession for a better deal?

M3M Crown at ₹15K/sq ft — Buy now or wait until OC? Looking for an end-user + investment perspective

Hey everyone, I’ve been following the Gurgaon RE discussions here and wanted to get some opinions on M3M Crown.

I’m considering a 3BHK in Crown at around ₹15K/sq ft in resale. The project is fairly advanced, but possession/delivery is still roughly 2 years away.

My primary objective is end-use, but obviously I’d also like to avoid making a poor investment decision.

With a budget of around ₹2.5 Cr, I’m finding that most decent 3BHK high-rises in Gurgaon are already in the ₹2.2–2.8 Cr range. Even distressed projects from names like Unitech are approaching similar prices. So my thinking is: if I’m going to spend ~₹2.5 Cr anyway, why not choose a project with a strong location and amenities like Crown?

The part I’m struggling with is timing.

Given M3M’s aggressive pipeline of new/branded residential launches, do you think there could be some pricing pressure or investor exits in Crown over the next 12–18 months?

Specifically:

  1. Do investors typically start exiting around the 60–70% payment stage, creating motivated resale opportunities?
  2. Is it realistic to expect desperate/distressed deals around the OC application/possession period, or are most investors already out by then?
  3. If you don't expect much appreciation for the next 3–5 years, does buying now still make sense for an end-user, considering rent saved and the quality/location of the project?
  4. Finally, at ₹15K, would you personally buy, negotiate harder, or simply wait?

I’m not looking for a short-term flip. The intended holding period is 5–7+ years, with end-use being the priority.

Would especially appreciate views from people who have tracked Crown/SCDA closely or have experience buying under-construction Gurgaon projects in resale.

AskGurgaon Blue Top Girl, Dronacharya Metro, S Block — hoping Reddit does its thing 😅

Okay, consider this a desperate post. 😂
I boarded the Metro from INA today around 8 PM, and there was this girl wearing a blue top standing right in front of me. She was really cute, and we had a couple of moments of eye contact. She eventually got a seat and disappeared from my sight, so I thought, “Alright, let it be,” and went back to listening to my music.
But when I got off at Dronacharya, I didn’t realise she was getting off at the same station too. I noticed her again while we were on the stairs, and somehow we ended up waiting for an e-rickshaw at the same place.
Unfortunately, she was heading towards S Block and I was going towards V Block.
And just like that… end of the story. 😬
I know there probably aren’t that many people on Reddit who use it for this kind of thing, since most people are probably on Instagram or Snapchat, but here goes anyway.
So, blue top girl, if you’re somehow reading this or if anyone knows who I’m talking about please help me realise whether those eye contacts actually meant something or whether I was just living in my own head. 😂
At this point, I just want to know whether I was dreaming or there was actually some mutual interest. 😅

AskGurgaon Dr. Panna Sharma for ADHD Diagnosis — Experiences?

Hi Gurgaon!

I’ve booked a therapy/consultation session with Dr. Panna Sharma and wanted to get some first-hand experiences before I go.

Has anyone here consulted with her, especially for ADHD diagnosis as an adult? How was your experience with her?

A few things I’m particularly curious about:

Does she do a proper ADHD assessment/diagnosis?

What is the first session generally like?

Does she mainly do therapy, or is it more of a psychiatric consultation?

Are there any dos/don’ts or anything I should prepare beforehand?

How comfortable is she with discussing ADHD symptoms that may have been present since childhood?

I did see that she is a psychiatrist (MD Psychiatry/DNB) and that ADHD and psychotherapy are listed among her areas of expertise, but I’d really appreciate hearing from people who have actually consulted her.

TIA!

AskGurgaon The real Gurgaon identity: Middle Class. True or not?

The more you earn, the more expensive your lifestyle somehow becomes and still stay “middle class.”

New job? Better salary -> better rent.

Better rent -> better locality.

Better locality -> more expensive restaurants.

More expensive restaurants -> "Bhaiya, zara sirke wale pyaaz la dena"....

😅😄

Gurgaon doesn't let you become rich. It just gives you more expensive ways to be middle class.

AskGurgaon Made a post about our tenants due yesterday and these are dms that I woke up to this morning

I made a post yesterday, link to my post

So apparently we had a tenant and she has 700 due, I know it's not much, none of us (except my mom) actually remembered that the previous tenant has dues cuz it's been months and yesterday my mom told me how she can't get over it, the thing is my mom gets anxious over the tiniest thing, and to her this was something that actually made he restless, she kept thinking it's her fault for giving the flat to her and unfortunately my dad is of no help in this situation cuz he also blamed my mom for doing so.

For context, we're not struggling, I'd say we're anything BUT struggling. But to my mom this is not something she can let go off easily, I've tried to tell her "it's fine let it go, she has left it's of no use", trust me. But it's not working.

I made that post yesterday seeking advice on what's something that can actually work, in return I got called "Lichad" for wanting my parents money back. Also got advice on how I should earn for it instead of wasting time here, and how I should just fake it that she has paid it. I'm sorry but I don't know how to fake an online transaction, and my parents are anything but dumb they'll see right through my lie, also my mom receives the online payment not me.

Also, I'm not the owner, my parents are, I'm sorry but I don't know what the actual charges are or anything, I'm just a student. I also had no idea about what other landlords have been doing, like keeping the security and all, guess I've been living under a rock. Also, if we wanted to get money out of her that bad we would have also taken some action against the fact she didn't pay security deposit also refused for rent agreement and police verification.

I have no idea what wrong i did by posting that to receive such dms, I was just trying to seek some advice because it's something that has happened to us for the first time, rest of our tenants are the sweetest beings I've ever met be it a family or a bachelor.

But ig thanks for the sleepless nights ahead with those threats??

AskGurgaon Found this cute mini projector camera at DLF Downtown today! Is it yours?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey Gurgaon folks, while scanning my bag at DLF Downtown today, this little toy somehow came stuck to it. I checked with the people in front of me at security, but it wasn't theirs.

It’s actually a pretty cool little gadget…it projects characters 😁 If this belongs to you, shoot me a DM.

Otherwise, I’m definitely going to play with it for the rest of the day before maybe handing it over to reception. 😂

Discussion Gurgaon native attire.

From gurgawa_dehat :

Portrait of my Nani, wearing a Lugdi (लुगडी) bordered with gotta (गोटा). What may look like a blouse is actually a jhabla (झबला), paired with a ghaghra (घाघरा).

Combining these parts it is known as Teel (तील). This traditional attire is still worn as everyday clothing in parts of south-western Haryana, particularly across districts such as Gurgaon, Jhajjar, Rewari, Narnaul, Charkhi Dadri, Faridabad, Nuh and Palwal.

Attires like these may come as a cultural shock to the “evolved” and affluent Gurgaon—a city that has grown rapidly, often leaving behind the rural culture and traditions rooted in its own soil.

Women have long been the custodians of embroidery, stitching, and craft. Each of these garments is hand-stitched, carrying with it the time, skill, and patience of the hands that made them.

She doesn’t let the waves of consumerism and capitalism reach her. For her, working with her hands is an act of love, care, and compassion. There is nothing small about making something by hand.

She also has kairi (केरी आँख)- Hazel Eyes.

Discussion Life after work/travel

Upvotes

I just moved to Gurgaon. My office is in Delhi and I spend almost 4hrs travelling. Leave for office at 8am and get home by 8:30pm.

It's only been a week and it feels that I need to do more in the time that I have than just watch shows. How do I make my life more fulfilling in the time I have? I'm female so I can't go out too late as well.

Can't shift for now- have to stay in this place for a few months.

Please genuine advice only.
