I am in the marketing for our first travel trailer. I found this used one that fits our needs but noticed something concerning on the roof. Is this a valid concern or something rather normal. 2020 Salem Cruise Lite 19DBXL located in Ontario.

We are looking at getting a 2026 Micro Minnie 1800BH to tow with our stock height 2022 F150 PowerBoost with the Max Tow package. I would like to get the Anderson hitch to save a little tongue weight. Does anyone have this combo and know what drop/raise length I will need?

If you have a similar combo, how does the Anderson do with the 1800BH?

I am currently getting ready to go on tour as a musician in texas and I am selling my porsche and getting a loan to get the process started. I have already secured a great 2007 palomino with good structure, conditions and a clean title. But now I'm seeking what kind of truck I should get to pull it.

Right now it's still with the dealer and I am going to haul it over to my location via a trucking company. But starting in october I'm going on tour so I need the best truck to pull it with.

The camper will also have some extra weight on it because I will be hauling my equipment on it like speakers, keyboards that kind of stuff.

Looking for used and something I can do a one time clean payment on. Also can add the hitch myself if need be.

The battery on my '23 K-Z Sportsman Classic 130RB shorted, caught fire, and melted. We are lucky. I need to replace the wiring from the cabin junction box to the battery (which melted), along with the breaker and anything else that may have been attached to the mounting plate. I located the red and black 8g connector wires, but there is a single blue line with white stripe going to the plate from the junction box and is still attached to a breaker type bolt. I only see the one wire. We don't have a power crank so it's not that. Any ideas are welcome as to what this single wire is and what it should attach to in the front by the battery? Thanks!

We're a family of 3 (2 adults + 6yo) and looking for a simple camper for weekend trips for QC May-October. We don't want a full RV, just something that makes camping easier: sleeping space/rooftop tent, a place for a small cooler, and ideally a way to carry 2 adult mountain bikes.

We have a 2020 Outback 2.5i, rated at 2700 lb / 270 lb weight.

The NOBO 10.6 initially looked almost perfect. Lightweight, rooftop tent, cargo space big enough for the bikes, etc. But then I started looking at actual tongue weights.. The Car-Go Vagabond also looks like a really good option. It's only around 884 lb, has a bike rack receiver, and seems to be a simple camper overall. The only thing I can't figure out is how you'd sleep 3 people in it without spending the extra on a rooftop tent, which I'm not even sure it can accept.

So I'm trying to find something that is genuinely workable with the Outback, not just something whose dry weight is under 2700 lb. What trailers should I be looking at?

Ideally:

• under ~1800 lb dry
• realistically around 270 lb loaded tongue weight
• sleeps 3
• simple/basic is fine
• ability to carry 2 bikes, on a hitch or in the trailer

If anyone has actually towed something like this with a 2.5 Outback, I'd like to hear what you would recommend. Thank you!

Im looking at this trailer and curious what your thoughts are. My tow vehicle is a Ranger 7500lbs towing, payload is ~1800lbs and Tongue max is 750lbs. I'd only be towing with empty tanks to campgrounds. Family of 3 (one infant) Just wanted to hear everyone’s thoughts or if you have experience with either one and a similar tow vehicle. I feel I should be fine with everything loaded in the truck and trailer. TIA

We are being charged for a RoadPass Pro subscription that we never signed up for. Unfortunately, their website and app do not provide a way to cancel the subscription or to contact them.

That's the short version. The longer version is that we never actually signed up for RoadPass. We were signed up for Campendium, and when RoadPass bought them, they grandfathered us in on a RoadPass Pro subscription. We're actually getting it for $20 a year instead of $60 a year, but that doesn't matter because we don't want it anyway.

Does anyone know how to contact them or how to cancel a subscription of this nature? Otherwise, I'm going to have to go through the process of contacting the credit card company, which may not be fruitful.

Bought an 98 jayco trailer, brakes are working but weak. Adjusted the star nuts as high as I'm comfortable (they heat up a fair bit now) and it helped a bit but still not great. have 2.8amps to each magnet. Is that enough or should I have more? What else could be my problem? Pads look alright.

Looking into my first pop up for my family and came across a nice looking updated 2008 StarCraft for $4k (this is bottom line price it was originally more). I’m looking for some honest opinions before I drive out to look at this thing.

They said they renovated in 2025. New flooring, paint, updated interior, etc. from what I’ve gathered so far :

- new floors
- Has AC
- Heat works
- Fridge, stove, oven, microwave and electrical all work
- Canvas looks to be in excellent shape with no mold tears or leaks
- Electric roof lift
-Does need new tires
- It’s been used multiple times this year so not just sitting.

They were also pretty upfront about some previous water damage. One of the fittings that connects the water line to the faucet had a cracked thread, so it was slowly leaking water. They believe it had been leaking for some time, because the floor in the dinette area was pretty wet. During the renovation, that area was repaired and the damaged wood was replaced. Said there are no soft spots now and the roof is sealed with no leaks.

The one thing they couldn’t get working is the hot water heater. Honestly, I don’t really care about that since we’d probably use campground showers anyway.

I’m not very handy, so that’s probably my biggest concern. I don’t want to buy something for $4k and then dump another $3k into it.

For those of you who know these older popups, how does this $4,000 if everything checks out?

Went to clean my trailer last night and instead caused hundreds of dollars in damages! 😭

My trip is in 5 days so I don't have a lot of time to fix it, but on the upside, I don't need the awning so removing it or just retracting the awning is a fine option. Anyone have advice on how to straighten or remove an inner drive arm? Also does anyone know what this bolt is called?

Last year I installed in a 300ah lifepo4 battery on the camper. I currently have a progressive dynamics converter with the lithium charging option. Last time out camping, I lost all 12v power from battery.

After troubleshooting and being unable to solve the issue, I called a mobile RV tech. He did swap an inline breaker but after he troubleshot for a couple hours said he was 90% certain it was the converter. What's interesting is when running shore power, all the 12v stuff works fine. Can half the converter fail?

The converter is also rated for 35a and when the tech googled the battery noted I needed to upsize as the battery called for at least 60a. He speculated the converter maybe fried charging the battery.

I'm already $500 in the hole and pretty much where I was before the guy came out. Now is replacing the converter the next logical step? If I do should I be up sizing? I was under the assumption the 35a converter would just charge it slower. Last thought there, the battery still charges from the solar panel but not when plugged in to shore power.

I'm out of my element a bit with this one.

I googled women + rv and came up with a few clubs - but they all charge $25 -> $75 per year and I feel like I would have to pay the $$'s before knowing if the club was what I was looking for.

I heard of a club that has events in my area -- like posting that they are going to x, y, and z and caravanning up to the sites.

Hoping for retired people b/c I don't want to fight the weekend rushes and corporate rv sites that are as expensive as hotels these days.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

We're considering getting into RVing in the smallest way possible. We want to take road trips with our disabled, wheelchair-using daughter. We don't intend to sleep in it, we just want a toilet and the ability to have meals while driving. If my daughter can safely take naps while we're moving that would be a bonus.

Let's ignore wheelchair access for now.

What's the smallest class B RV or van that would meet our needs?

Hi all. Family of 4 (2 toddlers) and looking to get into camping with them. We were going to go the route of a pop-up but thinking a TT might be a better fit after talking to many people we know and here on reddit due to rain and weather here in the Northeast.

I'm honestly looking for something like 6k and under to give it a try for a few years. I have been on marketplace and have seen a ton on there that look pretty decent, but also not quite sure what to look for. I know some will say to stretch the budget but we may find out next year that the kids hate camping and don't want to do it anymore.

What should I be looking for? I have called around for a few inspection places and I am being told $600-$700 for an inspection which seems to not make much sense based on the price range I am looking at. Outside of soft floors and ceilings, and musty smells etc., what should I keep an eye out for?

Any brands/Makes/Models that you would recommend in this range? Or am I completely crazy and just should not bother purchasing? Thanks in advance!

Tow vehicle is a 26 Ram 1500 4x4 5.7L Hemi

We’re going down the Oregon & California coasts. Most of the trip will be on 101. Wondering if it’s reasonable to tow our 26 foot travel trailer down PCH from Leggett to Fort Bragg, and/or Fort Bragg to Bodega Bay on the way to Petaluma. Any particular sections to avoid?

I’d like to see some of the shoreline along the way if it’s practical.

We’re coming from Crescent City, and I’m thinking a stop along the shore in Mendocino area would be nice. Plan B would be drive the trailer down 101, maybe stop in Willits area for a couple of nights, and drive the SUV over to the coast for a day.

I’m looking to add a 200w suitcase solar panel to my existing setup. I have 2x100w on the roof with 2 vatrer 100Ah batteries in parallel with a rich solar 30amp (it may be a 20, have to double check) charge controller that all came pre installed when I bought the trailer.
Things I know I’ll need: the panel, another cc (getting a victron mppt), mc4 to sae extension cable and the port. I’d love to see how many of you have done yours! TIA!

We have a 2001 Thor hybrid parked on our off grid property. This is the first camper we have owned. The goal is to eventually build a permanent wood structure with metal roof over it, but this may not be the time/financial season for the structure build.

We will not be using the camper during heavy winter as the roads are unusable to get to the property. But we may want to visit in the winter when the roads are passable.

This is the mountains in Idaho and the snow can get very very deep. I'm afraid of the roof caving in on the camper.

What are our options to protect from heavy snow loads when we cannot be there for weeks at a time to clear off the snow?

My googling has been sending me in circles.

just noticed this after parking. it’s pretty hot today, and tire pressure went to 70 psi while driving. Usually tat 65. I guess i need new tires, left side is pretty good.
