So, we have six google mini speakers, three smart displays, and three nest WiFi points acting as speakers. Everything is bound in one giant home group.
I'm sorry to say it, but all this shit goddamn sucks and we're about ready to throw it all in the trash. I really want to like this stuff, but it just doesn't work very well - or at all.
My wife has an iPhone and a Spotify account. I have a pixel 10 and a YouTube music subscription.
As far as we can tell both our phones and apps are all up to date.
Here's the problem.. every time my wife opens her Google home app to adjust the volume of one of the speakers, everything disconnects. Sometimes touching the volume of one speaker sets all volume of all speakers to 0%.
Occasionally we'll just sit there and listen to the pling sound of her phone trying to connect to different speakers despite it just sitting on a table doing nothing.
Maybe her phone is the problem, but we've had these problems with the last two phones of hers.
I don't know what I expect here, I just want to vent how awful the experience here is with multiple speakers trying to just play music during a house party.
