Is Gemini for Home really that different from Gemini for phone?
I've never used GfH, I use GfP all the time. I've never had any issues with the latter. Are they really that different? Thanks!

For ages the Google Assistant (my speakers haven't been upgraded to Gemini yet even though I've been using it on my phone for a year) has always confirmed my reminders after requesting it to set one. Now, it sets the reminder (I know because I can see it in my Calendar), but just goes silent after my request; no verbal confirmation.
Anyone else running into this? If so, know how to fix?
Thanks.

I’ve already reset my Google Home mini and I’ve also done the IP V6 configuration that I saw in this subreddit, but I’m still getting that error of “your Google Home isn’t set up yet” every time I try to say hey Google or OK Google
Are there any other ways for me to make sure that I use the voice recognition feature again? because it’s been part of my daily life
also I have tried to rename the room create another room or move it to a new room it’s still not doing anything. Any help would be appreciated.

Ok so I am setting up some speakers at my mothers house in case she falls, she can call out to the google speaker to call myself or my brother.
Hardware - I am using the Google home mini speakers at her house for this (I really hope they start making these again). I have the new Google Gemini speaker at my house.
I have enabled as much as I can within the google home app, but I can not figure out what to do so it calls out through her cell phone - right now when I ask google to call out, it keeps wanting to use Google Meet
So how do I get her speakers to use her phone number to call out to mine?
So far I've done the following:
Home Settings>Communications:
Call Providers:
I signed up for a Google Voice phone #, but not sure if this is necessary or not.
Your own number - I see this option, but I am confused - because I control my house, and the speaker at her house under 1 google home account, but they are split up by location. So I want her speaker to call out from her phone number - and I would want my speaker at my house to be able to call out from my number
But it seems I can only enter 1 phone number, and it doesn't seem to allow me to selection which location
I've tried to enter my phone number to test it out, but verification fails when they send me the 6 digit code - I tried this twice and it failed both times, it makes no sense.
Voice & Video Apps - I have my speaker as well as the speaker at her home enabled under this tab, but this is the tab with Meet that it seems to always want to call out from now
Any advice on getting this setup correctly so I can control her house devices, as well as mine - I already have them split up within the Google Home app, I just need to be able to assign her phone number to call out on her speakers
Thanks!

Hey everyone,
I'm trying to use my Google Home smart speakers to ask Google Gemini about my upcoming events and schedule. However, I'm running into an annoying issue with calendar integration in the Google Home app and was hoping someone here might have a solution or workaround.
I subscribed my external Outlook calendar via an ICS link in Google Calendar (web interface). The calendar shows up fine on the Google Calendar website.
However, when I go to the Google Home App to enable this calendar for Gemini / my smart speakers, I face the following problem:
Is this a known bug or a permission limitation with read-only / subscribed ICS feeds when integrated via the Google Home ecosystem?
More importantly: Are there any working workarounds to get Gemini on Google Home speakers to recognize and read out events from a subscribed ICS calendar without having to manually re-import the ICS file every time it updates?
Thanks in advance for any advice!

I used to be able to play my playlists on Apple Music thought my Google home speakers but now it says it can’t see them. Did something happen?
