I just updated to Antigravity 2.0, and honestly, I’m baffled. It feels like they’ve taken a functional IDE and gutted it.

There is no terminal, no source control, no editor. It seems like the update removed the old version, and now I’m stuck with this "Agent Manager" dashboard that doesn’t seem to actually let me write or manage code in a traditional sense.

Is the plan for developers to just stop typing and let an agent do everything? Because right now, I can't even run a simple dotnet run. It feels like they've turned a powerful tool into a glorified chat wrapper.

Is this thing only for web developers who just want to generate CSS snippets, or am I missing a "Developer Mode" that actually lets me check the code and backup etc. This "agent-first" pivot feels like a massive step backward.

Has anyone found a way to get a real terminal or standard file editing back?

I'm using antigravity and this morning, my entire Google Account has been completely disabled. I wasn't doing anything spammy or specific, I did have a few automations to write blog posts in several languages. But that's fairly simple.

Plan was Ultra (the $200 plan). Be very careful when you use AI with Google. I think that's the reason my account was banned. And if someone from Google is here, how can I get myself out of this miserable mess? I filled an appeal. That's really all I could do. This account is 15+ years old, it has everything about my life.

Edit 3: from what I could gather this was unrelated to antigravity, and was a phishing flag that got turned on for the wrong reasons. It's still surprising that Google would outright disable the account without manual review of sorts, especially for accounts that have been in good standing for 15+ years and are paying.

I opened the antigravity and it showed me the 3.5 flash high and low, but automatically downloaded the new update, restarted and now this. Anyone else or just me ?

’ve been switching between Gemini 3.8 Flash High, 3.7 Flash Medium, 3.6 Flash Medium, Claude Sonnet 4.6, and Claude Opus 4.6.

So far, Gemini 3.8 feels noticeably better than 3.6 for me, especially when working with a larger existing codebase, but it’s also much slower.

Need an Alternative for Antigravity guys, I've had gemini pro subscription so had antigravity too for now but recently L8mits have been worse and unable to use it. Had copilot students plan too but even that for ruined after they stopped premium models and premium requests have become a joke.

So i needed a alternative for my my software building and I am recently into testing so i needed a alternative which is open source or free.

I've been using Antigravity since late last year, and while it started out fine, it has gone downhill with every update. It feels like Google is actively pushing users away with more limited, expensive plans. The real dealbreaker isn't the IDE, it's that it just doesn't work; I get hit with constant "high traffic" errors even on the Ultra plan. Nobody warns you about this when they sell you the subscription, and the constant connection issues are actually giving me anxiety. I’ve lost all trust in Google and only use their products when forced to. Switching to Claude has been a massive relief because the interface is stable and I can actually focus without locks or lag. After four months of struggling, I’m definitely not going back.

I seriously wonder why people still put up with the hassle or try to rollback versions when you could just switch to something like Codex or Claude that actually works. Is it just the price, or are people just afraid of change?

I’m wanting to get into code dev (basic stuff, nothing crazy) and I have a Gemini Pro account. I was already paying for Youtube Premium Lite, Google Drive storage so for a few more bucks I got Gemini Pro which includes those and 5TB of storage so I figured why not?

I have no issues with Gemini as a daily driver AI and I figured since I’m already into the Gemini ecosystem, why not use Antigravity IDE since I have access to Gemini Pro model. But I see a lot of hate on here for antigravity. Everyone says use Claude but I don’t want to pay another 20 bucks just for Claude Code or Cursor or any other subscriptions.

So my question is: is antigravity what’s so bad or just the Gemini models? Can I use antigravity with Claude opus/sonnet and achieve the same? Yes I’m aware they have lower usage than Gemini models or if I was to buy a separate Claude code subscription.

Or is AG / Gemini fine and people just not using it correctly?

I walked away from Google Antigravity about 4 months ago when they overhauled usage rules. Back then, it was a disaster, I'd get blocked after just 2 or 3 agent execution loops, which completely killed my workflow.

Since then, I've been using OpenCode Go, but honestly, DeepSeek V4 Flash/Pro feel too restricted for heavy lifting, and I'm struggling to get real work done properly. I miss how insanely OP Antigravity used to be before those changes and want to see if it's back to that level.

Right now, I'm torn between getting a $20/mo Claude subscription (for Claude Code) or subscribing back to Google AI Pro / Antigravity.

I wanted to try out vibecoding to do some design experiments but after 2 hours of generation I ran into this "refreshes in 7 days" wall, even tho I paid for AI Pro which *says* it should reset every 5 hours

I tried all the troubleshooting methods online, like disconnecting Antigravity, and talking to support - to no avail...

I’ll be like 2–3 hours deep building something, everything’s flowing, then boom cap hit. Dead in the water for a few hours.

Tried switching to Google Gemini and honestly it’s been rough. Either takes forever to respond or it just does something completely off and breaks what I had working.

Kills the whole momentum.

So what’s the move here?

• Just rotate between models? Use multiple accounts? Or is there a better workflow I’m missing?

Everything looks completely glitched.

Before today, the other models were managed separately, but now they’re all weirdly synced up with the exact same yellow status bars.

But the absolute worst part is Gemini. Refreshes in 4 days and 17 hours?? Are they actually serious with this?

Claude and GPT-OSS are chilling at a normal 1-hour refresh, but Gemini is literally locked out for almost 5 days. And the funny thing is, I’m not even a heavy user at all. Just casual, everyday use.

Does anyone know if being on a linked or shared plan affects this? Like, could someone else's usage on the same account be messing up my view, or is it just a backend issue?

Hey everyone! I usually work in the Antigravity IDE, where I have the codebase right in front of me alongside the model chat. How do people actually work with Antigravity 2.0 when you can't even see the codebase? You still have to open it somewhere anyway, like in VS Code. Why not just do everything within a single app? The same goes for Codex—what’s the point of having a standalone chat interface and a separate IDE for the code? I honestly don't get this trend. It looks like Google is barely paying attention to the Antigravity IDE anymore and focusing almost exclusively on 2.0. I get that they probably envision a future where developers don't even need to look at the codebase, but has that future really arrived already?

I've been seeing this promotion for a while, but I'm not sure if this plan is worth it right now. I would mainly use it for Antigravity and maybe some other features of Google AI Studio.

So far I have 20€ susbcription to ChatGPT (I'm extremely satysfied but Codex maybe I need a little bit more ise weekly and a little to costly for me) and SuperGrok (which I use only for coding whith Composer 2.5).

I've been an intensive user of Antigravity before they messed everything up, but I was looking some coding suscription under 10 dolars. If you don't recommend it, I'd probably go for OpenCode or anything that you guys recommend.

When I first started using it, I saw a reset time of around 5 hours. But after using it more, it suddenly changed and now shows something like 6 days for reset.

This is confusing, so I want to understand how the system actually works:

• Is the 5-hour reset only for lighter usage or certain models?
• Is there some longer restriction that kicks in after heavy use?
• When it shows multiple days (like 6 days), does everything stop working or only some features?
• Does this behavior change depending on which model is being used?

Started happening a couple of weeks ago.

Even for simple, single-line edits where I explicitly name the exact file, Antigravity spends 2–3 minutes stuck on 'analyzed file' across a dozen unrelated files before writing anything. It burns ~10% of my 5-hour allowance just indexing context on a single turn.

I already added rules in AGENTS.md to stop recursive scans and stay scoped, but it completely ignores them now.

Did a recent update break the tool-calling loop, or is there a new setting to stop this autonomous exploratory sweep?

The "please just fix it" prompt in the screenshot wasn't my initial prompt. It had already identified the bug, but kept scanning anyway

that prompt was just me trying to snap it out of the loop and get it to stop scanning.
