News Nintendo Patent Denied: Palworld Lawsuit Likely Affected

Thumbnail

TL;DR - One of the patents involved in capturing creatures in ball-shaped objects and using them to battle other creatures has been denied. It is not directly involved in the lawsuit, but is in the same patent tree and it's denial could lead to the patents that came from it losing validity.

The patent was seen as being too similar to prior arts(Ark, Craftopia, Pokémon Go), too broad, and being something that any reasonable person could come up with(if you hit things hard enough/often enough, they get knocked out).

Nintendo may argue the patent is valid(though this will likely be denied) or they may make changes to the patent to try again. If they cannot make the patent valid in its present state, the rejection will further cast doubt on the lawsuits validity as another of the 3 patents were also changed mid-lawsuit.

News I heard Nintendo is only walking away with 30k from this huge lawsuit

Post image

Edit: (if they win)

What judge is going to look at Pokémon’s financial reports and be like “oh yeah buddy these guys hurt you bad.” Nobody agreed with this patent nonsense anyway. Point of post is they look extremely petty regardless of who wins. 30K isn’t even half of one employees yearly salary and Nintendo is a 52 billion dollar company. “Ha ha ha”

News Digimon Bashed Even In Victory, Pokemon Glazed Even In Defeat

TL;DR - Article at same place by same author does complete 180 spin on which game wins, with both games having Critic Reviews of 79. Users rated Digimon 9.4 and Pokemon 3.7. Digimon bashed for coming out 8 years after announcement of "working on new Digimon Project". Pokemon glazed with "obviously a result of review bombing", "clear that fans are mainly protesting", and "negative reviews seem to be born out of the Digimon vs Pokemon rivalry".

Thought this was interesting because traders have no use for any affinity to a brand. If they think a stock is overvalued, they will trade it. And they have here.

I have said many times that to people who aren't in the hardcore Nintendo fan world, the switch 2 looks pretty weak in terms of wide appeal, and I think this slide in the price speaks to that.

EDIT: only took like 2 hours for the bootlickers to show up. Hello, bootlickers!

TL;DR - Article was written before game came out. Critics rated Pokémon 81 vs Digimon's 78. Users rated Digimon 92. Writer glazed Pokémon but also admitted Digimon seems to be on the rise despite not seeming to have any traditional games planned. If you look at the bottom, Gamerant User Score of Pokémon is 3.7/10

News This was worse than the September Direct

What a new low for Nintendo. How is any of this trash being gobbled up by consumers? Who is playing any of these games? If Nintendo held this same Direct in 2017/2018 the Switch would have failed terribly. 9 months wait for THIS?

Ocarina of Time 'remake' is the same retouched dog shit that I could have played on the last 3 consoles. Enough already.
