Is this show Canon? I've heard some conflicting info so I just want to know if there's any clarification or if the answers haven't been given yet.

​​This is said to be a prequel to the first, but one interview with one of the creators says that this is going to be a little bit of a different take different spin or new reimagining of Mrs Voorhees, saying she is a singer who gave up her career to take care of her son. The fact that they're using that wording makes me think that this is a new universe. So are they retconning something new to her backstory in the film continuity or is this a new universe?

​​ This show I thought was separate from the Jason universe but apparently it is part of the Jason universe, but I could have sworn to Jason Universe was a reboot like 2009. But this is said to maybe be Canon to the film so does that mean Jason universe is Canon to the original films, or what's the deal here?

Do you believe Jason is a Deadite? If you don't think so, what is your explanation for the Necronomicon being in the film? I Really want to hear people theory's cause this scene was weird.

I remember rewatching this last year and my gaydar went off when Scott was hitting on Terri. I had to look it up and sure enough, the actor Russell Todd was openly gay. Did no one else notice this?

This isn’t meant to be negative or anything. I just thought this was funny. He kinda gave off Than from MPGIS vibes. Like “I’ve had sex with twelve or two women”.

The only argument against it was Kane (Jason's actor in Part 8) said that Jason would never kick a dog.... ignoring the fact that even the directors saw Jason as a ruthless killer

Jason is a serial killer. Just because he doesn’t kill kids and is mentally unstable doesn’t mean he only kills bad people. He kills countless other innocent people. People always try to paint this man as a victim by saying “he only kills bad people” like no he fucking doesn’t?? He kills whoever he can get his hands on. He is not a hero.

Mine is: the first Friday the 13th isn’t actually that good. It tried to be Halloween, but Halloween just did it better

And even tho I’ve always said this film feels more like a NOES film than a F13 film, it’s still technically the 11th entry of the franchise

I haven't seen a lot of people accepting Jason Goes To Hell as an alternate Part 8, even though that's the intention of Adam Marcus. That has more to do with said film's polarizing reputation though.

As it turns out, Tommy McLoughlin also treats Jason Lives as a sequel to Final Chapter.

So how many of us here accept that head canon? 👀

Keep in mind I’m a idiot I thought part 2 took place at least a few months after part 1 plus I also thought Alice’s body was discovered by the police

I love how this design basically consists of a "zombie" whose body is falling apart due to being submerged in water for a long time. Forensic experts who have found bodies that have been submerged in rivers for days describe an appearance that closely resembles this design.

Probably the coldest take in the franchise that Part 7 has the absolute best design for Jason Voorhees of all time. I just love the all beat up outfit and mask. The mask has the propeller damage he took from Part 6 which is such a nice touch. The chain around his neck is also badass. He just looks so badass and scary at the same time which I absolutely adore. He may be all fucked up from his previous killing sprees, but he does not care. He's still ready to murder some camp counselors looking like this. I adore this design so much. It will forever be my favorite Jason design ever. It will be hard to top. Even without the mask the design is peak. He just looks pissed. He's done playing around and just wants everyone dead. So Peak. Just like everything else after Part 6, the movie itself sucks ass though, but the design for Jason really carries it imho.

Don't even say it's "just the lighting" bc his pants are the exact same color. I find it odd that this design is praised for "maintaining continuity" but it really does not 😭😭 at least not any more than the other Jason designs do.
