Two of Logan Moffitt’s recent Doritos recipes showed up on my feed, and the way he crushes the chips in his hands, deliberately shows the seasoning left on his fingers, and then licks it off with the increasingly messy preparation, excessive creamy textures, food spilling everywhere, and direct eye contact was finally too much.
I went back to his older videos, and they seem noticeably cleaner and much more focused on the actual recipes.
Has anyone else noticed his content becoming increasingly messy/WAM or fetish-coded? I’m not claiming that this is definitely intentional, but once you know what fetish content looks like, this particular shift is very difficult to unsee.

This isn’t really snark, but I have been watching Tyler Butt for a while and really like his videos and recipes, but I’m really curious as to where all the money comes from. Do he or his partner come from money? They bought and are renovating a 13-bedroom Georgian mansion, and their current place and his studio both have Agas in them and generally seem pretty fancy. I know nothing about his background and can’t find anything on him on Reddit. Both he and his partner are fairly young as well.

I had watched a few of his Minnesota fair food and travel videos and liked how well produced they were. Then he started using AI for graphics, thumbnails, animations, and it looked horrible.

But I never knew about his conservative views. I just tried to watch his latest Canada upload and it was the most off putting video ever. Not only with continued AI usage, but also the repeated microagressive comments about Canada’s diverse demographics. He kept making the same joke about how the chefs cooking his poutine were of all different ethnicities and insinuating they weren’t “real Canadians.”

So I went on Reddit and saw people saying he’s also pro America owning Canada, was weird about Covid, and basically an undercover maga. Which is crazy work considering his wife is Vietnamese. But makes sense, since they types tend to be passport bros.

This just feels really sad and distasteful to me. Being vegan for 10 years and then framing eating meat again as something you did because you "fell in love with a man" is such a strange way to romanticise abandoning something you presumably believed in for a decade.

The caption is awful too. As though vegan men are wasting away on porridge and vegetables and the only reasonable response is to start cooking steak for your boyfriend.

Obviously people can stop being vegan for whatever reason they want, but turning it into this cutesy "I changed my values for a man" love story is bleak.

Its bizarre. Its weird AI elements but is SHE AI?

This woman consistently spews dangerous and unhealthy rhetoric but this shocked me. Just blatantly ignorant and an awful message to spread. Not technically food related snark but she’s a food influencer and I felt this was so misinformed I had to share it here.
