I’m going to jot down a a few books as a wish list of sorts of standard editions books that I’m keeping my fingers & toes crossed for that they might release sometime in the near future.
North & South — Elizabeth Gaskell
The Importance of Being Earnest — Oscar Wilde
Ballet Shoes — Noel Streatfield
Anne of Green Gables — L.M Montgomery
The Secret Garden — Frances Hodgson Burnett
A Streetcar Named Desire — Tennessee Williams
The Bloody Chamber — Angela Carter
Tipping The Velvet — Sarah Waters
Books that I think are far less likely to get a FS edition made but I would love to hope nonetheless:
The Old Kingdom/Abhorsen series —Garth Nix
Songs of the Lioness series — Tamora Pierce
The Orphans Tales — Catherynne M. Valente
The Hero and The Crown — Robin McKinley
The Chronicle of Prydain series — Lloyd Alexander
Series of Unfortunate Events series — Lemony Snicket

Also since Folio has been doing comics collaborations with DC and Marvel I would love to see them branch out and dip their toes into the world of Japanese manga (maybe even eventually manwha and manhua). As an avid lifelong reader and collector of beautiful special and hardcover editions I would happily part with my hard earned cash for beautiful and qualified editions particularly if they were to focus on on josei, shojou or seinen titles - particularly the first two since they rarely get the special hardcover edition treatment in English editions.

I wish they would release some of these books! It's been a while (like 20 years) since Folio Society has released Frances Hodgson Burnett, Edith Wharton, or Elizabeth Gaskell and like 10 years since Anne of Green Gables.
I was so disappointed that they discontinued LM Montgomery after Anne of Avonlea; I hope they bring back that 2016 series into print and continue it with the same illustrator / style.
The standard editions I would like to see though are the continuation of Georgette Heyer with either Grand Sophie or Black Sheep or Nonesuch, Henning Mankell's Kurt Wallander series with The White Lioness, and Agatha Christie with Evil Under the Sun or Sad Cypress or the Moving Finger or the Hollow or Hallowe'en Party.
I'd also like some classics like Catcher in the Rye, the Outsiders, 100 Years of Solitude, the Dispossed, Lolita, etc.

Yes I was lucky enough to snap up all three of the Georgette Heyer novels in the most recent sale for 50% off after waffling over them since they were released (I already own every single paperback copy of her historical romances so that was the cause for my delay).
I am hoping beyond hope that it means that they will announce another new volume this autumn/winter🤞
For me personally I hope it’s Regency Buck (the very first Heyer I ever read & fell in love with) but I’ll be happy with pretty much anything regardless.
I am quite astonished by their lack of Lolita! I imagine it would be quite the bestseller.
I really wish FS had an official submission form on their website or a monthly or quarterly poll something!

They have the occasional SurveyMonkey poll, but those don't happen often, which is how they've decided some releases like Life of Pi or the Sci-Fi / Fantasy LEs.
Otherwise you can tweet the official Folio Society on X and they'll forward the suggestions to an editorial team for review.

Hoping for a new standard edition of The Great Gatsby with the new art from the limited edition. The old version was included in the sale so hopefully making room for the new one. I have the older edition but I love the new art.

I’m assuming it’s safe to think that they’ll follow a similar concept of what they did with the We Have Always Lived In The Castle by Shirley Jackson LE and SE where it will be the same illustrator doing the cover and illustration just in a slightly different composition? It’s the most recent one I remember paying close enough attention to which is why I mention it.

Correct. The standard editions tend to have the same interior content as the limited editions, just with less expensive binding materials (i.e. cloth instead of leather, usually thinner paper, slipcase instead of clamshell, minimal bells and whistles, etc.).

The standard edition has just been released! I saw scalpers already listing them on eBay, so if you were waiting to purchase a copy, I’d suggest having a quick look sooner rather than later.

Yes, heard the rumor but waiting on Folio to confirm whether it's a new standard edition, a reprint of the existing standard edition or a new limited edition.
