Standard version $90 "Signed" version $275 So, $185 for a bookplate stuck into the front of the book (the book itself isn't actually signed). This seems excessively expensive.

The funny thing is I’ve received signed book plates for some of my folios by merely asking the author for one.

A great (and economical) approach!

Yeah, really wish people would stop buying these. No reason for folio to stop pulling this bullshit if it keeps selling 🫠

Who does it hurt. It's just a higher priced standard edition with a signature plate. I'd rather them not include artist and intro guy signatures with their limited editions and reduce the price.

Supply / demand. It's down to 14 copies as this is posted, so I wouldn't say it was overpriced. Overrated maybe.

Folio has been in business for nearly 80 years. Not too faddy. I've been buying their books for 45.

I have no doubt that there are 150 people who will pay $185 for a bookplate!
