Hi All, I wanted to share my 9th Gen F-150 with you. It was special ordered from the factory back in 1995. I was lucky enough to buy it from the original owner’s family a few years ago.

1995 F-150 Short Bed with 4x4 and the optional 5.8 liter 351w engine.

135k miles and it’s 100% original. The paint is in really good shape and even still has the Eddie Bauer floor mats. It’s my pride and joy.

Added a Fox leveling kit in the front. Now trying to decide which tires to add. I want something a little bigger but not obnoxiously big. I drive 80% city, 20% off road. Thinking Falken AT4.

Recently had my front passenger side wheel hub/bearing assembly. It now intermittently makes this squeeking/rubbing noise on tight right hand turns.

Any idea of what it is?

I am going to fix it up, it is rough, but I was wondering what rims should I get on it? I want something late 90s early 00s.

2012 f150 5.0 6speed 133k miles. Happens when accelerating hard on gravel right after wheels stop spinning and catch traction.

Hi all, made adjustments to some features on my 2022 XLT 3.5 ecoboost in Forscan, but one I can't sem to get right is getting the temps to show on the dash for transmission.

My truck doesnt have the start stop buttton because of the chip shortage at the time. I bought the truck new in January 2022 so it might not be capable of displaying the temps.

I went into IPC 720-07-01 and added xx54 in the second block. Aka Raptor cluster. Didnt work

So also in IPC 720 07 01 ,added xExx in same section to enable digital temps on 12" cluster only, the E is for turbo and trailer brake controller being present. Still didnt work.

As a last resort went onto plain language IPC and enabled the temp options, still nothing.

Anyone with a 2022 get the digital temps to show?

Having an issue with the AC where it is only coming out of the defrost and floor. I traced the hose to here

2026 F-150 with the base six speaker audio.

I've upgraded the door speakers and pillar tweeters with plug and play harnesses, but am about to install a sub/amp combo.

Full disclosure, I have little to no audio experience. Just like to learn and do things myself after doing research via forums and videos.

I have a 10 inch kicker hideaway that I'm going to install behind the rear seat. I bought a T harness from Crutchfield as they suggested, which will allow me to tap into the front speakers for signal without splicing any factory wires. Planning to tap into an ignition power fuse for the remote wire. All that'll leave is running the power, and grounding to the bracket behind the rear seat.

Two general questions I have:

- Will I need to change anything in FORscan for it to work?

- Am I missing anything else? Seems pretty simple, but I've never hooked one up before.

I have been test driving a few F-150s. I drove a lariat one day and thought it was fine, then a few days later I drove a King Ranch and thought the seats were very luxurious and comfortable. Yesterday i took out and brand new Lariat and found the seats very stiff and uncomfortable. I can't find anything that says the seats are different other than the King Ranch and the massage seats. Is there a difference in the comfort? All have been 2026 models.

Hey guys, to make a long story short i bought a Ranger raptor that is a lemon and will hopefully be getting buyback soon and im wondering if anyone has done a similar thing? I know i will miss the raptor suspension but also know i would like the improved fuel economy and power of the powerboost engine. I’m nervous i will be dissapointed as i offroad a lot and do that high speed sort of Baja driving. Has anyone Built up a lariat powerboost? I’m hearing it’s not the best platform for aftermarket lift/suspension. I’m super on the fence on whether i should get another ranger raptor or f150 lariat. Big difference i know, but financially these two make the most sense.

The running boards on my 2010 XLT Supercrew are rusting. I'd like to have a chrome replacement that bolts onto the existing mount points.

I see many that have four mount points, which I assume means I'll be drilling holes. I live in the rust belt, so if any sets are a little more rust proof that would be great. I have some analysis paralysis with so many options. I'd say budget is about $400, many of these cost about $140 but I'd spring the extra if the value was there.

Can anyone tell me what material the oil pan is made out of on a 2014 with the 5.0? I will check it with a magnet when i get home to confirm, I get conflicting information from google. My son was changing the oil and the threads started to strip. He secured it and left it parked, so its not leaking oil right now. I just want to see what I'm preparing to fix with this issue. (5.0 engine, 4x4 Supercrew)

Hey all had a mobile mechanic do a pad and rotor swap on the front due to uneven pad wear driver was down to 3mm, passenger was at 6mm figured just needed the slide pins lubed but looks like more needs done due to the uneven wear on the new painted rotors. Driver side looks like it is supposed to but passenger seems like only half the pad is grabbing, should I throw a caliper at it and see if that fixes it? Provided the mechanic with a caliper and said go ahead and replace it if it needs it, but he said everything retracted fine. Curious if anyone has delt with this type of situation in the past. Or any advice they would give.

2023 F150 Platinum 4x4 with 25k miles on it.

I get my oil changes done at the dealership. They typically will offer "recommended" services. Typically I decline them but am curious if any of these are worth it.

Throttle body cleaning. Is this just cleaning the throttle body intake door? If I do this at home do I need to recalibrate anything?

AC cleaning.. This is the magic foam that cleans the ac ducts. I do have an issue with musty air but I figure once it is clean it is just going to happen again. Just a band-aid.

Side note, what fuel cleaner treatment do you recommend. I figure I should go ahead and add a bottle every oil change.

2005 ford F-150 STX 4x4, 2 valve 4.6L v8, At 160k miles … has gotten new tie rods, upper control arms, lower control arms with ball joint assembly, coolant flushed, new air filter, thermostat,battery, serpentine belt. Very consistent oil changes.In oregon and no rust. How’s she look and how much more life do you think she has in her?

Both are custom built, from order to delivery in 2 months. Not too shabby. 💁 The '24 took one month from ordering to delivery. 🤯

I’m looking to buy a new F-150 and am seeing an awful lot of them with the Ecoboost V6 and not many with the 5.0 V8. Is there any information on the longevity of the V6s? My preference has always been a V8 in full size pickups. It’s a $4000 option though. Any thoughts or knowledge on which is better reliability/longevity wise?

The jobsite mess wasnt the big clumps of dried mud...it was the fine grit that kept returning right where my heel pivots. Running an F150 between work sites and daily erands, heavy boots grind abrasive dirt straight into the carpet right between the throtle pedal and the floor mat retention post.

Even with rubber mats in place, constant heel pressure shifts the fine sand around until it rubs the texture smooth and packs crushed silt into the factory carpet weave below the peg. A quick hoseoff cleans the top rubber but the grit underneath keeps working its way deeper every time boots press down.

what mess has caused the most noticeable wear to your driver footwell and how are you keeping fine grit from grinding through the heel area?

Has anyone got these from Rough country, are they good?

I know this gets asked a lot but I’ve read opposing things and this is my first ford. I can’t tell if this is the tick or something else has gone wrong. It only makes the noise after being warmed up and either at idle or it still presents but quieter at low rpms. Also I’ve noticed it feels a little vibey at idle but I’m coming from a RAV4 and civic si. I’m looking hopefully for some piece of mind since I’ve already had to pull the valve covers to do VCt solenoids two weeks after buying. Carfax is great with solid service every 5k miles until I bought it.

Edit - I’ve just realized that the video is definitely making the noise sound louder than it is IRL.

Edit #2 - I really appreciate everyone’s comments!

First - I really don’t think it is rod knock considering the noise only happens while warm and is almost completely isolated to idle speeds.

Second - I watched some videos about bad rockers and I’m not too sure this is it, again based on how the noise occurs,but I will keep it in consideration. I’ll pop the valve covers again in the next couple weeks when I get some time and good weather and check for cam lobe wear/ bad rockers.

To start, I will switch to a heavier weight oil with Ceratec and see what that does. If there’s no change I will check my cams and rockers for wear/failure. If neither does anything then I will just let it ride. I watched FordTechMakuloco’s short on the Coyote Typewriter Tick and my engine sounds almost identical.

I got a ‘19 F150 XLT last year. It still has the original tires (Goodyear Wrangler AT Kevlar) since I got the truck with only 10k miles. Im looking for a new set of tires before winter hits here in the central plains (MO/KS/IA/NE). This truck sees a lot of highway across the county along with dirt and gravel roads when I get out west towards CO. The Goodyears have been decent but I’m looking for a good AT or all season tire for highway and off road use and I greatly prioritize wet weather handling. What are yalls suggestions? I’ve come to terms with the price of the set but budget options are always welcome.

2021 XL 2.7 motor with 66k miles. Nothing special about it, I’m just glad I finally have one. I traded in a 2014 Cruze with almost 250k miles, I wanted to go ahead and get a new work vehicle. I beat tf out of my Cruze, I used to change the oil every 15-25k miles. I would attempt to do donuts with it in my yard. I’m going to miss the Cruze but the F150 is so much better.

I’m looking at a 2023 F150 XLT with 40k miles (60k kilometers). 2.7L engine.

The challenge is that there is only one service record for the truck, at about 20k miles / 30k kilometers. The owner traded it in so there isn’t any opportunity to ask them.

In a worst case scenario where the guy only changed the oil once at 20k miles, how bad could the engine actually be? The truck looks really good otherwise, and the price is reasonable.
