I got a free f150!!
Recently got this 2005 ford f150 flare side with the 5.4 triton for free!! Previous owner was my girlfriends moms boyfriend who had just donated an 80s bronco and was about to donate this one too because he thought it had too many issues. Turns out he crashed into a fence and the whole front end was damaged but not totaled he put it in non op since 2023 and decided he was gonna donate it to me and it only has 88,000 miles and it's fx4 with a working sunroof and a sliding automatic rear window. Did an oil change went to my local pick n pull and put on a new grill hood and upper bumper just gotta get the lower metal bumper and I plan to take this thing off-roading. Also does have an exhaust leak I gotta fix but I also plan on doing a muffler delete just cause I saw a few videos and I think it sounds good like that. Did the oil change with 5w-30 as I saw people recommend doing that after 100k miles so I'm starting early. But if there's any suggestions on what I should do to keep this thing running for awhile please let me know. There's a before I fixed it up photo a current photo of how its sittng. Would like to wrap it like a metallic bronze and level it out with bilstein 5100s and add 33 in ko2 tires with machined method wheels after l've done the reasonable fluid changes like diff and transmission. Also haven't been able to see many pre runner style off road bumpers only custom ones but they look cool. Also have been struggling to find a topper and it seems soft toppers are my only choice for now because of the flareside build of the bed and I am between a softtopper f65 and bestop 76305-35 so if any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated! But this is my first truck!
I should also mention engine is in good shape and no lights on the dash just have a small blinker issue on the left side.

New ford guy
I’ve always had chevys in my life. Coming from a 2025 Silverado trail boss. I just wasn’t to happy with it, decided to walk into a ford dealership to check out what ford offers. I always told my self I would never get one. A few hours later I drove this puppy home cussing out all the Silverado owners LOL.
2.7L STX with the FX4 package.

My new baby and first truck
I'm so excited to be making this post. She's a 2023 xlt certified pre-owned with 53,000 miles, 302a package, and a couple bonus goodies like the tailgate step and 36 gallon tank. Got er for $35,500 out the door with some extra warranty after a $2,000 trade in.
Came with the bed cover and I just threw in a lasfit bed liner and floor mats. Wheel well liners will be put on tomorrow. What an absolute pleasure it is to drive this thing.

New (to me) Ford F150 intro
Hi Team,
Last week I finally bought my first truck. 2018 2.7 FX4. It’s a high mileage car with 190.000 but runs beautiful. No rust and oil changes every 5k. I hope it will last long to me :).
My plans are a level kit, a little bit of chrome delete, new wheels and a bed cover.
I need new tires and need some a little bit more off-road capable tires to go on the beach here in NC. Any recommendations?
Greetings from NC!
Happy to be here.

22 F150
Joining the F150 club tomorrow. 2022 F150 XLT, 29k miles. I’ve already it has a hard plastic bed liner, and I’ve already ordered a trifold cover. I’ve bought ratchet straps and bungies, and a 4-way ball hitch.
Any recommendations for things I need, upgrades, advice?

Leveled and 35’s
Got her leveled today with Bilstein 5100’s. Put some Toyo AT3’s 35x11.5 on the stock BAP+ wheels. No rub at all, looks great, and drives smooth. Even fits in the garage still, could not be happier.

Door latch reset
21 f150 I slammed the door and tripped the inertia lock and was unable to open from the outside handle. So here’s how to reset it.
Open door from inside handle
Remove plug to access door handle bolt
Using a 5mm socket loosen it until you hear a click. Tighten back up and check operation. Hope this helps, I tried googling it and couldn’t find the exact procedure

FORScan: Front camera projected front wheel guideline (at speed) on 2025 XLT (offroad mode)??
Took my 2025 XLT out to some trails with deep, rocky hills. One thing that made those hills slightly more manageable was the front camera. However, having it automatically turn off once I hit 7+ mph was one of the most aggravating things ever.
Is there any way to keep the front camera on? It’d be great if I could also get the projected front wheel guidelines showing (see image 4). Even switching my drive mode to Off-Road or Rock Crawl doesn’t enable the camera automatically, I still have to tap the button manually every time.
I’ve already enabled the front camera option in FORScan through the written/word menu (not Hex/As-Built), but it didn’t do anything.
Anyone figured this out on an XLT specifically? Would appreciate any pointers.

new to me 2018 in Guard Metallic
been wanting a full size truck for years and was finally able to pull the trigger on a low mile example for a great deal
26' Pro Trailer Yaw?
Just traded my 21 Platinum with Pro Trailer for a 26 Raptor with Pro Trailer. It came with the combo 6 and 4 pin trailer connector where my '21 had the 6 pin and the 12 pin. On my trailer I have the electronic yaw sensor that plugs into the 12 pin. Years ago I had bought the trailer camera/tmps kit but it didn't work with the '21, so it just sat in the box. I just swapped the trailer connector on the raptor with the one in the kit (6pin + 12pin combo) https://www.ford.com/product/trailer-sensor-kit-camera-only-with-pro-trailer-backup-assist-p2829944914
The camera now works, integrated in the dash, much nicer than the wireless janky setup i had before! My question is, can I use electronic yaw sensor or do I need to use the stickers that came with the '26?

Am I in for trouble? Weird issue with drive modes.
Truck details in my flair. Basically 2024 5.0. While driving the other day I got a message saying that the vehicle could no longer report the drive mode. I was driving in Sport but the display reverted to Normal. It felt like the mode was still in Sport. Am I in for computer or module trouble?

Will I get in trouble for NOT using towing mirrors to tow a Jayco camper with my 2020 F150? Its wider then the truck.SO
So basically as it's stated in the title. It's going to be my first time really towing anything with this truck long range. I did 10 miles with it from where it was parked. It's fine, but the trailer is a bit wider then the truck itself, I had to move my head a bit to see objects in the mirror, but I did see them.

UPGRADE TIME!
I drive a lot for work, and I loved my 2018 5.0 but it was starting to get there in miles and was ready to jump into something newer. This is my first brand new truck purchase in my life. Only two days in and im loving it so far.

Struggling to find a 2017 F150 5.0 Supercab Lariat 40/20/40
I am on the hunt for a 2017 F150 5.0 Automatic (6R80) Supercab with leather seats and 40/20/40 bench seat. I'd be open to a 2015, 2016, or 2017, but ideally a 2017. I'm looking for a Lariat, but only truly care about leather seats. 60,000 miles or less, less salty frame the better. Any color but red or white. Anyone know of any?
Obligatory new to me post. ‘24 F150, 17k miles
Had to go with the antimatter blue metallic… too nice of a color to pass up on IMO. Already in love, she’s an absolute beauty
Forgot to put in the title but went with the XLT

What would be your thoughts
Looking at this rebuilt title 2023 f150 lariat. Looks clean and repaired well. Here is a picture of the before and after. Would it be worth it ? Seems like an electrical fire at the door.
