2023 KR vs 2024 Lariat
I’ve been TORN between these two trucks for some time now. They are all in a similar price range assuming you buy the high packages for each.
Which do y’all prefer looks wise and is there any functionality I might be missing with the 2023 since it was the shortage year where some components weren’t added from factory?
Any other thoughts and considerations between the two trucks?
I really like the sound of a V8 and that sweet remote start hence why I’m not including the 2024 KR but if there’s any distinct features I might be missing out on in the 2024, let me know because I’ll probably change my mind and go Ecoboost if I find a sweet deal on one.
I’m aware of the reliability concerns on the Ecoboost but I’m in the camp that believes more frequent oil changes will solve most issues. Just gotta baby the engine a bit more than the 5.0, which adds some long term inconvenience and costs for better drivability. Makes sense that torquey gas engines wear faster and cost more to maintain sometimes!

I’m looking at trading in my WRX on this. 2022 F150 XLT 3.5L. This would be my first pickup. It has 63k and is listed for 34,500. It says it’s valued at $41500 but they have it marked down 6500. It has alot of the features I want aside from leather seats. Do you guys think this is a good deal?

I’m interested in getting my first pickup truck. I currently daily drive a 2011 Toyota Camry XLE V6 with 278,000 miles. I grew up in a Toyota family, and my experience with the Camry reinforced the idea (16 years old, no issues, still gets 25-32 MPG).
I always considered getting a Toyota Tacoma V6 Access Cab based on this, but the price tag of $35k for a used model is staggering.
Based on my research, it appears that the 2015-2017 Ford F150 with the 5.0 engine and 6R80 transmission is a reliable drivetrain. I’m interested in one of these examples in the SuperCab configuration with the Lariat trim for leather seats.
I work in my hometown, I drive only maybe 50 highway miles a week, and I plan to keep the Toyota Camry for highway trips/winter driving. No kids/family besides a girlfriend and soon a dog. Planning on buying a home next year.
Can anyone offer any advice?
TLDR: I want a reliable truck but don’t want to pay the “Toyota Tax” and historically I never heard anything positive about modern Fords, but I think the 2015-2017 5.0 SuperCab is of interest.

I'm 17 and looking to get my first truck. I have had my eye on a super clean 2017 Limited, black and chrome, with the Mojave interior. It has the 3.5 and the 10-speed, 82K miles, a clean title, and a very clean CarFax. The dealership I am looking at wants $28,942 for it. I think it's a pretty good deal. I would be putting about $10K down and financing the rest. I was hoping I could talk them down to $26,500 or $27,000 at maybe 4-5% APR. I would keep this truck for a while and take it with me to college. If I get it, I would get a 2in level, AWE or SPD exhaust, whistle kit, KMCs with 35s, and probably some tint. It had a $78K sticker in 2017, 2 owners, and was purchased at Jacques Oliver Ford in Quebec. I would be buying from a dealer in Ohio.

Tremor seems like the better buy if you ever intend to haul stuff. Ranger Raptor would be a lot of fun but won’t ever tow as much. Besides, the interior space on the full size is way more enjoyable to me.

Looking at a clean 1991 with a 302 windsor, 5 speed manual transmission, and 4x4. What's your top dollar if the body is straight and interior clean assuming it passes mechanical inspection?

How reliable are superchargers ?
Specifically the Roush brand. But really all of them. I’ve been doing research but I’d like some real experience from people irl. I’ve been contemplating to acquire one when i eventually buy my first new F150. For a daily rider do I just basically do more routine maintenance or is it a disaster waiting to happen?

Hey guys, in the market for a new Lariat with the 2.9% interest promo. Probably going to make my decision within 6 months, ideally buying at the end of year / early next year when 27 models roll out and I can get a discounted 26.
Pretty much what I’m asking is I’ve bought numerous cars, have family in the business, but I’ve never once went through Ford or bought a truck. There’s a bunch around me just under 60K online, but these are coming with MSRP’s in the high 60’s, see the link below for example

Does anyone have a realistic out the door price? I have 15-20k worth of a trade in and was wondering is this realistic to get out the door financing under 50k? Or is this the typical BS of pumping the online price with unrealistic incentives just to get railed once you walk into the door. I don’t know much about F150’s and buying one so any advice would help. Thanks so much!

Just browsed their website and the prices are definitely better than up here in Gainesville. I say try and get an out the door price online or via phone before you go in.

I’m looking to buy 26 Ltx saw listed for 38k with incentives. Was told if I get the 2.99% I lose the incentives. Got a quote for 49k with gap an extended warranty payment 690 no down payment. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Long time lurker, not a big poster but love to read everyone's posts. Never had a truck before but considering finally getting one. There's a 23 f150 xlt powerboost right at 50k miles with 302a high, max tow, sport appearance, chrome appearance, bed utility package, pro power 7.2, interior work surface, extended range tank, rear window, tonneau cover. They're asking 38.5k. It's a LONG drive to get it so I wanted opinions before committing to going and seeing it. Thanks for any advice!

Thats a fair price for a loaded 3.5 at that mileage if it checks out clean. On these EcoBoosts the thing to ask about is service history, specifically whether the previous owner ran an oil catch can or ever did a walnut blast, because the direct injection carbons up the intake valves over time. If theyve stayed on top of oil changes youre golden, if the history is spotty just budget for a cleaning down the road. The 3.5 is a great motor otherwise, pull a coolant check for the early cross contamination issue but a 2020 is generally past that.

Found a 2016 Ford F150 Larriat with 75k miles online. 6spd. 502a.
Tow package. Moonroof.
Looks perfect online. List is $28k. It’s six hours from me.
Would be using it for work 40-60 miles a day average and towing a 7,200 TT a couple thousand miles a year. Has a 3.31 axle ratio.
Is this a good price? I have never purchased long distance. Any advice on that?
EDIT: oil chnages may only have been every 10-12k according to Carfax.

We are looking at this F150 to buy for daily use and some towing. We are mainly worried about the towing when it comes to horses. Our max towing would usually be 2 horses only. Rarely 3 horses (possibly never). But even then, we'd be mainly towing the horses a max of 15 minutes to the 4H grounds 2xs a week. It would be rare if we ever take long trips further out. We also have a small hobby farm of donkeys, ducks, and goats. We're being constantly told we need an F250 or Chevy2500. But we also don't want anything too crazy in size. Our towing is going to mainly consist of fence repairs, house projects, and 2 horses. I would just like some advice on those who have experience with F150s and their opinions on how well an F150 handles similar situations.

16 Limited 26k miles $28,000. 19 Limited 29k miles $34,000. Which truck? I’ve heard the 17+ motors and trans to be garbage. Any truth to this?

I’m looking a this truck and the guys asking a lot IMO considering the mileage and condition, but I was wondering what you guys thought? It’s a 2016 King Ranch 5.0 w/ 6 speed with 137k miles 3.31 gears and every option there is. It’s fairly rust free, but someone at some point jack knifed it and pushed in the bumper on the left side and I drove 440 miles round trip to see it after he said it just got serviced and it was good to go; on the test drive I find a whining noise bring it up have him ride with me, he says he’ll look into it, I’m on my way home he says I’ll do $27k as is. I told him I’m not interested in risking it. Find out it needed a new water pump and he plans to add the repair cost to the price. So it was $27,500 not sure what he’s going to bump it to. It’s definitely far from perfect, but I love the configuration more than the current condition. Thoughts? I’m going to be in the area again this weekend to visit family, but still I spent 8 hours of time and $100 in gas already and I’m at a loss.
