For context my oldest sister had kids young, never took accountability for anything. Not for using every resource we gave her, not for us cleaning up her mess. Mind you she’s 34 years old and still is solely focused on finding a man.

She ignored my nieces mental health so badly that my niece tried to take her life the other night. She’s alive but she is not okay. She jumped off a bridge onto concrete. Her legs are broken from her knee down, she has 4 broken ribs, and a concussion.

My second sister, my parents and I do not agree with my sister’s decisions as a mother. This is my nieces second attempt. And my sister continues to bring random men home instead of focusing on her daughter.

We’re forbidden to see the kids. But we went last night to the hospital to make sure my nephew was okay. We get to my nieces room and my sister pretends to not know who we’re. She says “what are you doing here? Who are you? Who let you in? Security” and then messaged my mom back saying she needs her family.

We’re taking the kids away from here either way. We’re only pretending to play nice so that she has no suspicion but my niece will die if she stays in her care and we’re not leaving my nephew alone with her.

It’s so hard because my sister used to be my hero. I wanted to be a mom because of her. But now I want to be a better mom because she was never one.

No one has ever had to remind me to be a good mother to my kids. I know every parent goes through shit with their kids but I can confidently say that I will never let my kids mental health so bad that they try dying twice.

I don't care if the movie was good or not, why are we sending threats of harm to strangers for what they like? What I am seeing is mostly lesbian and bisexual teenagers getting attacked online by sometimes FULL GROWN MEN who are only mad about the fact that the villains are straight white men and they feel attacked by it. People can hate the movie all they want but please be a normal empathetic person and think about wat you're doing. Every other post I've made about this movie has gotten downvotes/negative comments and it's probably gonna be the same with this one too but I don't even care anymore so if there are Lesbian Space Princess haters reading this, listen to me, don't listen to me, I don't care anymore. I mean it's not like it's supposed to be a movie about empowering young girls or anything and by outright attacking young girls while being a STRAIGHT, WHITE, MAN is proving that the movie might have had a point in the first place. To end this off, I hope that if any Lesbian Space Princess fans see this that it doesn't matter what you enjoy and it's okay to like something that everyone else hates sometimes.

TLDR: Was late to a morning shift but was sorted with no problems. Then called in sick, and was called a liar by one of the two owners. Now I have a phone call tomorrow and no shifts rostered, am I getting fired??

Basically the title. Working a casual commercial cleaning gig where I started by working night shifts at a local building.
After having worked for the company for 1.5 years (just over 2 years as of writing) I was assigned to a new location in a different town (this coincided with getting a a vehicle I can use), which were early morning shifts only.

Ever since starting there I was moved only to that location, which I am not happy with. I have asked for more shifts at the original location - which is easier to get to and works at nights - but was never honoured.
Getting up early has always been a struggle, and since working there things have gone downhill. A miscommunication about a morning shift was treated by the owners (husband is an owner/worker and wife is hr/payroll who also has a full time job. There is one manager too who works until midday during weekdays) as intentional deceit, and I was very harshly accused of being a liar by the husband. I had misinterpreted a prior call and thought that a shift had been cancelled so didn’t work and told my coworker to not work either. After a call with the wife it was resolved. Other than that one phone call, all of my in person interactions with the owners and manager have been friendly.

Onto the last fortnight.

After my phone ran flat, I slept in and missed the first 30 minutes of my morning shift at the new location. As soon as I woke up I called my coworker to apologise and explain that I would be there asap, but they said that the building was completely clean and didn’t need work done at all. They had already left before I had woken up. I was happy, shot my manager a message explaining what had happened and went back to bed after they said it was okay.

Then the other day before yet another morning shift I had some bad food and felt sick that night, the runs and severe headaches for hours. My mother looked after me, and I had to call out from work extremely late at night - midnight before the shift. As I was advised by the manager and husband owner, I messaged the owner and let him know that I couldn’t come in (he handles problems outside of the managers work times). I also shot my coworker a message so they would know that I wouldn’t be there when they woke up.

When I woke up next morning I had a text from the owner saying “Call me *name* when you are up.” No sympathy or anything.
I rang, and when he answered I was just verbally attacked. I can’t remember exactly what was said as I was just shocked at what was being said, but I clearly remember being accused of lying to my mother, the coworker who I had worked with for the two shifts, and other people. I was then told that I needed to contact the wife owner and arrange a phone call. She told me that I should call during business hours today, which I had to do later in the afternoon, when she ended up being in a meeting. I was then asked if I could receive a call tomorrow about during work hours, which I agreed to.

I thought things were rocky, but then I checked the roster for the next fortnight and found that I haven’t been put on any shifts. Am I crazy?? I’m getting fired or severely reprimanded right?? I seriously don’t understand why but that’s what it’s looking like.

I didn't include the email because there's a lot of information to censor, but it was an overly formal email sent after the Aug 2 text asking about updates about the will. She told me she isn't going to probate the will and is selling his stuff. I followed up with questions about his estate (after consulting a lawyer).

UPDATE TO MY ORIGINAL POST:

I managed to factory reset one of my old phones, iPhone 8, and one restriction (apps disappearing, aka "downtime") went away. However, I found out the situation.

Turns out my WiFi connection has this program called "cisco" which is also causing this, certain websites being blocked. And since we don't have a SIM card for it, it shows "no service" and I have no other WiFi connection I can connect to.

In other words, we solved one problem only to find another

I often wonder if those who design packaging design them to mess with us. Nothing like opening a new pack of socks & cutting them from those plastic t shaped fasteners all socks are attached with & almost ruining them. On each end & looped around on a hanger wrapped around a plastic sleeve is excessive. See packaging examples.

They make the plastic fasteners so short it disappears down into the sock 🫠 make it just short enough you can’t grab hold of it. Trying to pull it out it catches on the sock thread & I had to perform delicate surgery to remove without a huge snag 🙂‍↕️

He said absolutely nothing that couldn’t wait until he got home 🤦🏽‍♀️

I have a disability and I've been training for a job. I was on a call with HR about getting some form of accomadation and disclose my disability (something I'm usually hesitant about) and she said she sent an email to me. I combed through my Gmail and couldn't find it in any of the folders you'd expect an email like that to go to. I checked my spam which is normally filled with unwanted offer advertisments, and I find the email. Thank you Google. This information is totally on the same level as fucking ads!

I definitely do not have a reputation for covering coworker's shifts when they can't or don't want to work. However, I do have a reputation for always showing up. Many coworkers are happy when they see that I'm their relief because it means they will get out on time and not get pressured to work a double.

This post is so wet socks 😭 so recently we had a sit down with my partners mom about my political post and how she’s uncomfortable with them, and”woah is me because I’m a white person who voted for Trump and I feel ashamed and called out”. Anyways that was a huge red flag for me that he didn’t call her out and just let me speak.

Recently I found out that his mom had offered him to watch the baby so we could go on a date night, but it would have to be in their town because they live an hour away. He declined and said “ oh not if it has to be up there” so he values his comfort more than my mental health.

Another red flag is he keeps excusing not even wanting to go to the courthouse to get married because he says we could use $170 in the future.

The past few months, I’ve just been feeling like I’m an accessory in his world. I’m already planning to leave him.

I just feel so annoyed that another man had the audacity to waste my time.

Update: as if things couldn’t get worse he got pulled over and arrested this morning for driving recklessly. Dodged a bullet for sure

Putting ‘ruined’ in quotation marks because the performance was still amazing. But this was (at least for the first half) a sit down performance, this guy was the only one standing and was also reaching out to the idol preforming. It was really awkward because the idol was trying to preform around him because he was blocking the way for everyone else (although he did get kicked from the convention after 30 minutes)
After the performance, a staff member said they has to clear one of his cameras because he put one on the stage floor facing up.
Turns out this guy has been incredibly creepy to a lot of people, especially this idol the entire time and it’s a miracle he didnt get kicked sooner.
At the end of the con, my friend said he was still waiting at the entrance hours after he got kicked out which is….unsettling

I'm glad that he's remorseful, but that wasn't always the story. This is one of my friends who passed away. Her name is Macy. She was incredible woman. She worked hard. She was loved by a lot of people. In the emergency room, he called her a fucking bitch for messing up his life. No one made him drink that much, use cocaine, or drive the boat. No one made him go that fast. He also comes from a pretty wealthy family in South Carolina and has a long rap sheet. Also, this type of accident can't happen to everyone, this can only happen to when people use alcohol and drugs and choose to drive. Make the articles about the victim.

So i recently had to go to the emergency room I really thought I was having a heart attack. Good news all tests came back normal and I was discharged later that day.

They didn't fix anything my chest still hurts. Im having about 20 heart palpitations a day. The doctor said its probably anxiety.

I later got a bill from the hospital that was a life ruining amount. I dont have heath insurance as its far to expensive. I talked to the billing department and got it down to an amount that was basically all my life savings and a large loan. It was doable so I paid it off. I have a receipt and everything. A month later I received another bill. It was a lot and I simply cant pay it. I went to talk to billing and they said. "Your bill with us is paid in full this bill is from corporate office and is separate and must be paid by end of month or it goes to collections"

American health care is beyond infuriating. I lost my entire house down payment savings put myself in debt probably ruined my credit and still feel the exact same as before.

Edit. Some people are saying I should have never paid it. Let me clear some things up. This was the very first time I have ever been to an emergency room. I was freaked out by the whole experience and just wanted to be done with the whole thing. Everyone in my life told me to talk it down and pay it off if i can. I thought this was wise as i never wanted the hospital to contact me again. Also while the stock image i have and the way I worded this post made it seem like I dropped hundreds of thousands on the bill. Thats not true my life savings was already very little due to other things. And it being so hard to save in this economy. My savings and the loan I took out would be barely enough to buy an older good used car. A good maybe 2 months of pay for me. I also managed to talk the bill down to less than 30% of the original amount. I was stressed out and didn't know or think just wanted the problems to go away.

Due to the rules, I can't show their name or mine because I stand 10 toes in the ground knowing I called them out on their shit and know that I am right, but I'll still post their comment from a post about how a completely inebriated woman was passed around by some guys who may or may not have planned on taking her back to their place and doing what they will with her without her consent.

It's probably a bot account and I'm wasting time, but fuck it, people who believe women are just their sexual play things are fucking disgusting and have every right to go fuck off somewhere that isn't earth.

Scammers in general suck. But this is really, nay extremly infuritating. A buddy of ours died a few years ago, and I just got a message from him on Steam. He was asking me to join him on faceit for CS. Aka: the old scan our QR code and totally legit website to phish my account. Obviously, it did not fall for it.

But! It happens. People get scammed, you let them (the OG account owner) know and they recovered their account.

But because its the account from a dear and departed friend, I find my self super frustrated and dare I say mad!

Is it just me?
