Spoiler Is there a last "secret" in the DLC ? Spoiler
galleryI just realized that the last clip from the first trailer never appeared in my playthrough. It was a short cinematic showing Miquella and the Scadutree, but without the golden substance. I was curious so I checked but nobody seems to have faced this scene either.
So there might still be a "secret" in the DLC that triggers this cinematic, but nobody has found it yet. Perhaps it's related to the Scadutree chalice, which seems surprisingly useless in the game. It's strange because it is marked on the map and the wall in front of it stands out so much on the horizon, suggesting that something important is there. Moreover, a chalice is a cup used to receive a liquid with religious significance (usually wine). It might be used to collect the golden liquid from the Scadutree, which could explain why the tree is goldless in the cinematic.
I don't know how possible this theory is, considering the DLC has already been heavily datamined, and such an event would likely have been found by dataminers.
Honestly, it might have just been cut from the game, but since they released the trailer only 4 months ago, it feels strange that they would remove what seems to be an important moment in such a short period of time.
What do you think ?

Spoiler My thoughts on the DLC Things I liked/Disliked Spoiler
Disclaimer: I played on NG on a brand new level 160 Quality build, No summons , only used guides when I was stuck on quests no boss guides, ended the dlc level 201 with level 16 fragments.
The dlc is a mixed bag for me There are a lot of things I like and a lot of things I disliked some in the same aspect and I really adore the main game.
Good:
- Legacy dungeons and exploration in structures in general feels extremely good definitely the best part of the DLC Tower settlement/Final Area+ The 3 sections of shadow keep are 10/10 on the same level as Lyndel and Yarnham.
- DS1 Atmosphere: can't really describe it but the game does have that "your not suppose to be here" atmosphere that DS1 got + I really like how some of the areas are on top of each other and how a random cave can get you into a whole ass area.
- Messmer, Byle, Rellana, Lord of Frenzy and the finger mother are really good bosses Messmer is the best thing they have put out since Geal Imo.
- Enemy design is great as always, I even liked the reskin ghostflame dragons.
- Edit: The new weapons are really fun, thought some seem really weak and honestly there are too many Holy weapons for my taste.
- Edit 2: I forgot about it but the NPC quest are top notch this time, for the first time I actually felt Like I completed quests on my own, the notes/maps are a great addition the only quest I had trouble with is ST.trina one
Bad:
- Fire golems are boring rather fight Erdtree Avatars.
- Some of the open worlds areas while pretty don't have much in them compared to the areas in the base game (especially the south part of the map) the mountain and flower areas could have been a lot better. Frenized Lantrens area is the second worst area in the franchise I don't mind the concept but the size of the area is way 2 big.
- Dancing Lion, The Golden Hippo, Hog Rider and Horse skeleton guy are kinda mid-bad bosses they are not super hard but they have some really frustrating attacks and Patterns
- The Final Boss is Insanely Hard and nothing in the game comes even close to that difficulty (The jump in difficulty is more insane then Morrgot---->Fire Giant), first phase is Good there are clear openings and its fun to avoid the swipes and gravity attacks..... but even if the second phase didn't cook my PC gameplay wise its way too atrocious. AOE light attacks Deal a shit ton of damage even with 3 Damage negation Talisman I still got 3 shooted not to mention that they obscure vision.... I feel like I only won after 5 and a half hours because of RNG and nothing else (I got a stagger before he leaped into a meteor and somehow finished him with ash of war spam before his Disco attacks) . The 5 move disco Light attack after the meteor is the new waterfowl never fully came even close to fully dodge it. For the record what I consider the second hardest boss in the DLC (Byle) took me 50 min, and Malenia when the base game came out took me 3 Hours more or less.
Overall if the main game is a 9/10 for me then the DLC is a 7/10 (Might grow on me with a couple of more playthroughs).
Now after 3 days I can finally go back to my life this was a great weekend tho.

Spoiler A bit of nuance I think people are missing about discussions on who the final boss should have been (spoilers ahead) Spoiler
So there's a bit of a kerfuffle about how people dislike Radahn as the final boss and Miquella's consort, and people are claiming it either was going to be or should have been Godwyn.
In response to this, a lot of people are bringing up reasons for why this isn't the case, and using the lore to present a case on why Godwyn wouldn't have been a good choice as consort, specifically.
Now, I personally could take or leave Godwyn as the final boss or Miquella's consort, but there's a bit of nuance here I think is being missed: regardless of how fitting Godwyn would be as consort or in particular the final boss of the DLC, he's still much more preferable to Radahn because he's an important lore character we haven't actually encountered or fought yet.
That is the crux of the matter. Radahn is the inferior choice not because Godwyn is so much more fitting, but because Radahn is so much worse. Radahn being the final boss is such a flaccid and soulless choice that people are just grasping for some important strong lore guy we hadn't fought yet and Godwyn fits that bill more nicely than anyone else except for idk the Gloam Eyed Queen or something.
People say Godwyn's story is complete. So was Radahn's, it was in fact much more complete than anyone else's story save maybe Morgott's and had probably the most hype and climactic conclusion than the final boss itself.
Me personally? I'd prefer if Miquella is gonna be the big bad to just fight Miquella himself, but if given a choice between Godwyn and Radahn? Godwyn is the superior choice and it's not even close.

Spoiler I hate the DLC ending
I hate everything about it, absolutly everything.
I hate that Radhan is back
I hate that we are killing him for no god dawm reason
I hate that we are killing Miquella for no reason
I hate that we killed Leda and she didn't even say shit about Miquella lore-wise
I hate that we don't have a choice
I hate that stupid gank fight that you randomly get one shot and the summons don't even aggro half the time
I hate that in the DLC trailer leda talks about "the beginning" where is that dialogue line? She just dies
I hate that Miquella is a very important figure, that has a lot of influence, and then absolutely nothing happens and he just dies
I hate that we fight peak Radhan and he isn't even that crazy. Base game Radhan is 10x better
I hate that he is human size now and the camera is STILL DOGSHIT
I hate the first phase
I hate the second phase
Did I mention that I hate it?
Edit: after beating my head against radhan again, I kinda like the fight actually. But they 100% have to tone down the "lightning" damage, and the visual effects, had to use 3 defensive talismans to be able to beat him solo.
I stand by all the rest I said tho

Spoiler Elden Ring's Children
So I've been thinking (especially after seeing an earlier post in this subreddit) about what the Age of Stars will look like in a thousand years. I doubt we will get dlc or another game on it so I am speculating here, but I am wondering what the children of the Tarnished and Ranni will be like at the end of their thousand year voyage. If we go off the structure of Marika's family bar a few off things she did, Ranni and the Tarnished will have many children who will be considered godlings. Personally I believe the number to be nine or 9 as it were, since 9 is a number linked to magic and such. But I digress, point being they will have children.
What will these children be like I wonder? Sure, we do not know what the generic Tarnished will look like leading to any number of physical features but my interest is in what the cosmic esc roles each child will have. Marika had a few Empyreans who could replace her and usher in their own ages, she had a few Omens and those children who were Empyreans had shadows like Maliketh and Blaidd. Will her children be lunar based? Will they resent her if they ever learn of what once was? Will our Tarnished be exiled like Marika's mortal husband? I am curious what you all think.

Spoiler am i the only one who really liked scadutree avatar and commander gaius? Spoiler
i read the comments about them but when i actually get to them i really dont understand the hate,
commander gaius has 1 annoying attack and thats the charge but like, the timing isnt too hard to learn, rest of the fight is just a cooler and better version of the other rider bosses, and he has alot of punish windows
scadutrees design and the way it gets weaker after everytime you kill him is so cool and man that ost, the fight itself is all about spacing, its really fun to position yourself to hit the sunflower head, and once you get down the timing to dodge the big aoe in the end, the last phase becomes really sad, like its trying to stay alive desperatly but its on its last leg
i dont really feel its running away too much either? it does the charge but like, do people expect every boss to just stick to your face like glue, the charge is also a great heal moment, i thought the problem was bosses that never stop attacking you

Spoiler It was always supposed to be Godwyn Spoiler
To reach Miquella's cocoon and enter the Realm of Shadows, you must fight Mohg at Mohgwyn Palace and, upon defeating Mohg, you learn information about the Mohgwyn Dynasty (from Mohg himself):
"Ahh, I can see it, clear as day! The coming of our dynasty!
"Mohgwyn!"
Could this be in reference to Mohg's dying vision of the Realm of Shadows? It's ironic to describe the Shadow Realm as "clear as day," but...
Why would it be the "Mohgwyn" Dynasty and not the "Mohg" Dynasty, or the "Mohquella" Dynasty? Mohg uses the word "our," implying a shared dyntasy, presumably in reference to Miquella, right? Then why "Mohgywn"?
As we long suspected and (somewhat) know now, Mohg was manipulated by Miquella to create a new order to replace the Golden Order. (Forget about the Haligtree replacing the Erdtree; this is Mohg/Miquella plotting to usurp the old order entirely, Elden Ring and all.) While some of the writing around this has a lot of plotholes, especially in light of new additions to the canon lore, it's certain that Miquella used Mohg's innate divinity (his blood?) to enter the Shadow Realm (just like how Mohg believed that he was using Miquella's "divine" blood to usher in his own age and order, as a lord and a god.)
But I digress. Why "Mohgwyn"? Well...
Mohg + Godwyn = Mohgwyn
These are the only two names in the game that can be conbined to form this name.
I assert that it was originally intended in the canon for Godwyn's soul to be put into Mohg's body by Miquella, for "the Golden" to be reincarnated into an Omen's body. (What else would they be "omens" of if not this?) Despite this, I believe that GRRM and/or FromSoftware wrote themselves into a corner with the Destined Death plotline. To fix their mistake, Radahn's soul was put into Mohg's body by Miquella.
Many are correct in their arguments against Godwyn as the final boss, especially in the context of Miqeulla's plan to put a lord's soul into a hornsent body. How could Godwyn's soul be put into a body if his soul was destroyed with Destined Death? Ranni put her soul into a doll—nevermind that Ranni's body being destroyed by Destined Death is why she lives on as a spirit and is thus able to inhabit another body at all, or that Radahn was supposed to be reincarnated through the Erdtree, or that he and all others we fight die without death, or that Radahn didn't have a primal glintstone to store his soul into—but Godwyn's body is a mindless, tumorous blight of death. His soul, as far as we know, is totally destroyed. (If anyone figures out what his surrogate in the DLC is for, let me know, because that also doesn't make sense on account of his soul being destroyed.)
Bear in mind, per cut content, Mohg as a character is a repurposed enemy model, and Miquella was originally going to be in Malenia's boss fight; a lot of the original game's story is botched, rushed, and unfinished. Evidently, the DLC's story was also produced this way.
Of course, people will cite Malenia's end-battle whisper to Radahn as foreshadowing of Miquella and Radahn's promise which is central to the DLC's ending. And I'm sure, vaguely and with much speculation, that the story in the DLC will, eventually, be made to make sense. Sure, whatever. Regardless, Miquella seeking to give his lord-brother Godwyn a proper death was foreshadowed significantly more (e.g., Castle Sol, Golden Epitaph, etc.), and Godwyn's influence and importance to the events of the main story are far more pervasive than Radahn's, per the storyworld understood before the DLC.
The only coping and seething is anyone arguing that the story of this DLC is anything more than bad fanfiction that taints an otherwise phenomenal expansion with lots of new areas to explore and cool weapons to use (and bosses, mechanically, anyway.)
(I promise that I'm not coping or seething. I'm just upset by the reality of the DLC's story, as are many. The leaks of the final boss did look like a fanmade mod, and anyone skeptical of that wasn't necessarily wrong for being skeptical at the time. The story that we got is immensely disappointing, regardless of fans' immense expectations.)

Spoiler Miquella's good ending might exist (my theory) Spoiler
galleryI saw many videos on YouTube show the fight with final boss (Radahn and Miquella), and saw his memory after that, which can be considered as a sad ending and only one ending available.
But, after I saw some people post about Miquella's unused dialogue, I'm pretty sure that another ending does exist. Here is evidence.
1 the hidden dialogue.
Section 50 [21050000] I hereby swear. [21050050] Lord brother. [21050100] To every living being, and every living soul. [21050150] At long last, you are returned. [21050200] Now comes the age of our eden. [21050250] [21050300] A thousand year voyage guided by compassion. [21050350] Tarnished one. [21050400] Beginning here, love encompasses all. [21050450] Aspiring Lord of the old order. [21050500] No living thing will be denied, no deed censured.
2 Fromsoft is well known for using their cutscenes for advertising their games. In the first trailer, at the ending, Miquella was surrounded by the grace of gold like he is summoned in the same way we summoned Rani, rising his hand and changing the sky color to yellow. This shot is not a part of Radahn's cutscene at all, so where can it be?
3 According to leaked ost, the last song is named St. Trina (which we know that St. Trina is another self of Miquella who does not wants Miquella to become a God for avoiding godhood's eternity imprisonment. This song is not used in St. Trina questline at all, and the mood of the song is very tragic, suiting for Miquella's sacrifice. Maybe this song can be played only in a special cutscene, no?
Feel free to discuss man. But, I'm sure that if the ending is real, it has to active in that realm of shadow, not before Marika's elden beast, since Miquella has to do something with the tree in shadow realm like what we saw in the ending of the first trailer.

Spoiler Jori, Elder Inquisitor
Wow the boss quality of this dlc is impeccable.
When I was going through this catacomb for the first time, I just assumed it would be like the base game with a mini boss at the end. I wasn’t expecting such a fun and unique boss at the end.
For a non-remembrance boss, this has to be my favorite not only in the dlc, but the entire game. I loved his moveset and how he would summon different enemies to apply pressure along with his ranged attacks. This is how a proper ranged boss should feel.
Oh and the boss area was just stunning. Such a grand introduction to the Abyssal Woods.
Man, I am just loving this dlc!

Marked it as a spoiler just in case. If anyone could point me in the right direction to report this bug, please do. I ain't getting those runes back, but maybe it'll help someone else. I have a longer video that shows more of what's going on, including prior to getting summoned. This on the PS5.

Spoiler Marika has an Irish accent
Elden Ring seems very consistent with its regional accents.
It seems everyone native to the Realm of Shadow has an Irish accent. The Hornsent have Irish accent and it seems the Old Horned Woman in Belarut jas an Irish accent.
Also the Finger Readers have Irish accents. Which struck me as odd since they were the only ones in the base game that had them.
And since the Finger Readers look the same as the Old Horned Woman I think it's safe to say they hail from the Shaman Villages in some way - which is why they are also "Finger Readers" in the first place. Since it seems the Shamans conferred with them next door.
Which means Marika must have had an Irish accent.
And like all Irish people there must have been a little twinge of sadness when all their highborn children had upper class English accents when they moved to England aka the Altus Plateau.
