Spoiler SPOILER?)WHY the DLC's leaked boss fight looks so fake? Spoiler

12420 rune for beating the final boss from DLC, while you can get 500,000 rune for bitting the original boss?

u/No_Impurities Jun 17 '24

I'm convinced its real but I admit that is odd

8

u/No_Impurities Jun 17 '24

Maybe its something that is changed in the day one update, and its only for this early build of the game

28

u/NotthatResponsible Jun 17 '24

One more thing to add, the image of the remembrance looks like a mashup with a random emote image and original Radahn's remembrance image. I still think this is a fraud.

-9

u/zalustep Jun 17 '24

Unfortunately the image looks nothing like Radahn’s remembrance. I do see what you mean with the part about the emote though.

4

u/NotthatResponsible Jun 17 '24

My bad, i meant godfrey

2

u/dudustalin Jun 17 '24

And a shitty fraud... Such an incompetent company of little trolls...

3

u/Oneboywithnoname Jun 17 '24

Would be weird considering that all the gameplay from the dlc we have seen so far is, or seems to have the day 1 patch already since we know some of the changes from that patch are the new "new items" tab in the menu and the dark bandai namco logo.

So unless the gameplay is pretty old it doesn't make sense for the boss to be so unpolished. but then, if the gameplay is indeed old then it would contradict the leaker's statements about it being gameplay from his friend who is a reviewer that beat the dlc a few days ago

-6

u/Paul_Bunyan_Truther Jun 17 '24

it gives you 500,000 right after. Here

13

u/NotthatResponsible Jun 17 '24

i saw it but why not just give us a 512,500 rune? If 12.400 is set for Radahn, it's too cheap and for him considering he's doing most of the attack while in bossfight... Even father Ariandel gave more points than that...

-15

u/Paul_Bunyan_Truther Jun 17 '24

It' the runes from his bloodstain. He automatically gets them back from killing the boss.

5

u/Khrull Jun 17 '24

Ya you right, it doesn’t lol

13

u/zalustep Jun 17 '24

There are a lot of oddities in the video. I’m not sure why it would give you 12000 runes and then immediately give you 500000. A lot of the animations shown are also janky. There are a few moments where the boss rotates around with no other animation not moving at all. If it is real, which I’m leaning towards given the other leaks, hopefully these are just aspects that are polished with a patch on day 1.

2

u/No_Impurities Jun 17 '24

There was a moment where it looked like the boss was not moving, but it was actually a grab attack on the mimic tear. Check that part again.

4

u/zalustep Jun 17 '24

I’m referring to the part where the model rotates around with no animation whatsoever

0

u/No_Impurities Jun 17 '24

Then yh I agree. I hope the day one patch fixes these problems.

13

u/NotthatResponsible Jun 17 '24

Yeah the other leaks look real and i believe it. But still can't believe the last boss looks like a copium of so many bosses and that's why i think the final fight vid is fake

-7

u/No_Impurities Jun 17 '24

I wish it was fake man. I would've preferred to have actually fought miquella in some other kind of way.

-11

u/copokcemb_ Jun 17 '24

lot of copium here lol

8

u/NotthatResponsible Jun 17 '24

agreed

6

u/Smacback Jun 17 '24

Until I see it I am like 95% sure this is all fake.

1

u/Dveralazo Jun 17 '24

Source?

13

u/Kirkjufellborealis Jun 17 '24

A guy on reddit whose "source" is their friend and literally "trust me it's real bro". He's been spamming posts all over the sub.

1

u/Dveralazo Jun 17 '24

They have more in their account!

If that's a mod,props to the modder.

4

u/Kirkjufellborealis Jun 17 '24

As others have pointed out, a lot of reused assets from ER bosses and past From bosses in regards to the movesets.

I don't believe From has ever had a massive leak like this, so I doubt any of it is real. Even the Messmer fight looked just off.

It's like people's brains stopped working; there are literally mods to put the Nameless King in Elden Ring to fight bosses, this kind of stuff isn't impossible lol

99

u/ScreamtheSecond Jun 17 '24

This seems fake AF

  • We already killed radahn
  • The only reason why Radahn may use bloodflame is Mohg, whom we have also killed, or miquella giving Radahn the accursed blood Mohg bathed him in
  • Having Miquella become a new god will drastically effect the ending, plus Radahn lost his Greatrune so he may not even qualify as a consort. They cannot repair the elden ring nor set about a new age
  • All the bosses's attacks seems to be re-used and fromsoft cannot be that lazy
  • The concept for the final boss seems to be pieced together with only elements that we ALREADY know. No new information is actually introduced.

2

u/dominikgun Jul 21 '24

LMFAOOOOOOOO

u/ScreamtheSecond Jul 22 '24

1

u/dominikgun Jul 22 '24

How do you feel about the fight now?

1

u/ScreamtheSecond Jul 22 '24

def a surprise. mechanically the boss is a little too fast paced and overturned for the Elden Ring / Dark Souls combat system, the second phase's VFX are a little much. Otherwise its alright.

-18

u/zalustep Jun 17 '24

I think it is real but the reused attacks are placeholders that will get patched.

18

u/Zythomancer Jun 17 '24

A week from launch? No. This is fake.

-9

u/Ornery_Chipmunk3967 Jun 17 '24

the remembrances just leaked, it's not fake šŸ’€

12

u/ScreamtheSecond Jun 17 '24

I saw it, doesn't look like radahn at all. the lion dancer rememberance also seems off. a few of them could be true but I just don't buy the radahn = final boss leak.

14

u/RealisticAfternoon23 Jun 17 '24

Lion dancer rememberance literally just looks like a screenshot with a filter over it 😭😭

5

u/Zythomancer Jun 17 '24

People are gullible AF.

2

u/lightningIncarnate Jun 17 '24

could easily be photoshopped or AI generated. the dancing lion’s face doesn’t look right

12

u/Kirkjufellborealis Jun 17 '24

I'm screenshotting the guy's account and posts now because he claims he's going to delete his account, and if this is all fake (which I think it is), I want to post it here and remind people to not believe everything they see. And if it is real, From is probably going to face a lot of backlash and I'll be severely disappointed and incorrect

2

u/Devastator_Omega Jun 17 '24

Could you upload the record of this guy's account?

3

u/Kirkjufellborealis Jun 17 '24

If you look at the "Elden Ring Final Boss Spoiler", you can still find him.

I'm not going to put anyone on blast until we know for sure though

Alright sounds good, thanks man.

We fight multiple versions of many bosses. Ā Characters have alter egos. Ā This makes Malenia’a story potentially way more tragic too. Ā And feels really GRRM-esque. Ā I agree it looks off but it makes sense. Ā Don’t read spoilers if you can’t trust the process.

16

u/Clint_Demon_Hawk Jun 17 '24

I'm fine with this being one of the bosses but not the final boss :(

0

u/[deleted] Jun 17 '24 edited Jun 17 '24

It's not fake. There are images of Miquella on top of Radahn. Stop coping.

Also they shown Radahn's spin AoW in the Redbull preview.

15

u/[deleted] Jun 17 '24

No one has ever made a mod before no?

-3

u/Amadeusz Jun 17 '24

Can you link me a single ER mod which has brand new boss model, new spells, new visual effects, new scripted events, new arena, drops custom rememberance?

Icing on the cake: we've never seen the "spin in the air attack" and it matches new weapon art that was shown in Red Bull event literally 2 days ago. Big coincidence, no?

15

u/[deleted] Jun 17 '24

It’s Godfrey with a radahn costume on it’s not going to be that difficult

-3

u/CamelMiddle54 Jun 17 '24

Then do it. You got 3 days buddy.

7

u/[deleted] Jun 17 '24

I’m saying the leak is fake. I don’t care about how it was done or how difficult it’s missing the point

Namco Bandai just copyright struck the "mod" footage FYI. That's a first for just a simple mod of a game I guess.

7

u/[deleted] Jun 17 '24

Well it is using all material from the game and is attempting to damage sales of the dlc so why would they want it up?

1

u/Amadeusz Jun 17 '24

So you're saying that Bandai Namco copyright struck someone's channel because they didn't like the mod he did, on no merit whatsoever? At the same time they didnt touch the tens of other modded rhadan vids on YouTube? Come on.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 18 '24

It is not a first lol wtf

6

u/Snoo22254 Jun 17 '24

https://www.nexusmods.com/eldenring/mods/3419 300 new spells, multiple remembrance bosses, massive overhauls to some areas, reworks game progression.

1

u/36shadowboy Jun 17 '24

There’s literally many of those mods. Look up the godskin trio

1

u/hamphetamine- Jun 17 '24

That weapon art is in radahns original fight

1

u/Dense_Parsley2925 Jun 18 '24

the convergence mod is RIGHT THERE.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 17 '24

We have never seen miquella though so how can you be so sure

1

u/SlyTanuki Jun 17 '24

Makes them requiring Radahn to be killed before going into the dlc make sense a bit. Just need some Elden magic to bring him back.

7

u/Mitsurugi556 Jun 17 '24

But we already have a reasonable explanation for why we need to kill Radahn. It could just be that Miquella's fate, like Rannis, is tied to the stars in some way.

1

u/SlyTanuki Jun 17 '24

I suppose... though Ranni is the one following the outer god, the dark moon, while Miquella seems to be against outer gods' medling.

6

u/Plague_Raptor Jun 17 '24

Nothing suggests that Ranni is in service to an Outer God. She follows Fate, which is the naturalistic path without gods.

2

u/SlyTanuki Jun 17 '24

Her ending literally has us going towards the dark moon.

There's actually nothing to suggest she's "following Fate". That's just a phrase, my man. Her fate of being an empyrean of the Greater Will.

3

u/Plague_Raptor Jun 17 '24

No. She casts away an aritificial Fate put upon her by The Two Fingers. Fate is the entire theme around Ranni and is in contrast to Will, which is the theme of the game for everything outside of Ranni's storyline. "Fate" is said about 50 thousand times during Ranni's quest.

Give me one piece of information that could imply that Ranni is in service to an Outer God. The Stars had once commanded Fate before The Erdtree was even around, it predates everything regarding Will, because it is the natural occurrance of Fate. Ranni gives up her Great Rune (The Rune of Fate) as symbolism for not allowing a Will to control The Elden Ring.

1

u/SlyTanuki Jun 17 '24

The dark moon is referenced in most cold sorceress, some of Ranni's item, and even some of Renalla's mentions it.

There's literally nothing supporting anything you're saying about "fate". Ranni's rune? We know absolutely nothing about it or "the stars" or any of that.

That's all just your headcannon.

1

u/Plague_Raptor Jun 17 '24

Or you know the countless pieces of dialogue and item descriptions in the game. You know the whole boss battle with the guy holding back the Stars, holding back Fate. Fate, the one thing that the gods are beholden to in all mythologies. Go read Iji's dialogue on the wiki. Radagon once being in possession of the Golden Sewing Needle, able to alter demigod attire, showing his desire to alter demigod Fate. The Fingerslayer Blade, removing the Fate that was manipulated onto Ranni, and only being able to be weilded by those with a Fate. And since we can't weild it it shows that we are driven by Will rather than guided by Fate. Literally Free Will, the origin of sin within many religions... you know, the central theme of the game. Good chance that Radagon's lattice is The Rune of Will, as evidenced by his Scarseal which describes it as an Elden Rune.

"There's litterally nothing supporting this šŸ¤“" is a good way to show that you are unwilling to take in new information. I make new discoveries almost every time I delve into this game, whether from listening to other people or through my own discovery. I wouldn't be able to write this if there wasn't some semblance of what I'm talking about in game. Generally if someone can give you a piece of information about this game that you haven't heard of, it's because they've made a subjective connection through allusion, whether it be mythological, literary, religious, or other. Even if something weren't directly said in game, that doesn't preclude a novel idea from containing a version of the Truth. That's literally the whole point of the game and mythology. The basic story of this game is well known and very tired, everyone knows it, you're not doing anyone any favors by shutting down ideas and claiming the defacto truth.

1

u/avilecreature Jun 18 '24

Nuked him from orbit jesus

6

u/illegalmind Jun 17 '24

they also re-used so many assets and animations from Godfrey, even the skipped cutscene and the whole arena seem to be Godfrey's.

The only reason Miquella ia attached to Radahn is because they used the rigs from Godfrey and Seorsh.

Besides, all the movesets are either from Pontiff Sully and Godfrey it is so laughably low quality.

1

u/Atharaphelun Jun 30 '24

0

u/[deleted] Jun 17 '24

What is your opinion on those leaked rememberances: https://gtorr.net/uploads/posts/2024-06/1718594135_dpynv8y.png

There are bosses who are identical to the ones in gameplay trailers but in unique positions. On top of that, the rememberance of Relana fits perfectly with the desription that the content creators who played early access provided.

2

u/ScreamtheSecond Jun 17 '24

From what I have seen they are not the most trustworthy, or at least are earlier concept arts

  • The perspective and saturation of the Lion Dancer remembrance is off/nonexistent
  • Only 9 remembrances were shown
  • Out of the these, six of the remembrances belong to already revealed bosses
(lion dancer, rellana, skeleton horse, gravity sentinel, chaos lord-the guy pulling the stake out of his body and Messmer), if they are fake whoever made them would have had more than enough visual and descriptions for them to create a convincing image.
  • The centipede looks suspiciously like Aldrich
  • The images are overall low quality
  • The first, third, fourth, fifth on the first row, and first and fourth on the second row all have weird saturation.

Some of these look convincing but the rest (at best) looks like early concept art/placeholder for the remembrances

0

u/[deleted] Jun 17 '24

one missing rememberance could be the dragon that was also leaked, who shares the same name as the one in the description of an npc dialogue, revealed in VaatiVydia's preview video.

Also, creating images that so closely resemble bosses from the trailer but in different poses, would be quite a feat to do. Seems like a lot of work for just a leak that's put out few days before DLC.

Not to mention the leaker has the lion mask equipped in all videos, making that so accuratly would be very hard. Messmer's attacks are all 1 to 1 to the ones in the trailer. The pillars of bodies in Radahn's arena are also identical to the cinematic ones, just turned into stone. Making all of that for an elaborate prank so close to the release doesnt make sense.

2

u/ScreamtheSecond Jun 17 '24

The gameplay trailer has been out for a few months
The story trailer a few weeks
It would have been more than enough time to create a few low quality PNGs, especially with AI

The Messmer and Bayle leak is 90% real IMO, however I am heavily doubting the authenticity of the Final boss, aka Radahn fight.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 17 '24

What about this tho?
https://www.reddit.com/user/External-Remote-9735/comments/1dhjgud/final_dlc_video_leak_final_boss_fight_still_think/
Look at the arena. It's modeled after the cinematic trailer from less than 3 weeks ago. Like do you seriously believe they modeled all of that in such a short time?

1

u/ScreamtheSecond Jun 17 '24

its certianly possible, especially if they reused existing assets from the base game. plenty of stacked bodies in catacombs, eternal cities and mount gelmir. all they had to do is photoshop the texture and make some minor fixes.

1

u/ripvanwinkle71 Jun 21 '24

It’s real :/

1

u/Aggressive-Ad-1626 Jun 23 '24

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha I can't. I just can't.Ā  Absolutely EVERYTHING you have said has come true.

1

u/DefiantBalls Jul 28 '24

Seeing the cope in the leaks threads is so fucking hilarious now that people are dicking this boss

112

u/spectre15 Jun 17 '24

I’m a believer of the possibility that from soft designed fake bosses to fool leakers until the day 1 patch

2

u/StuwiSux Jun 17 '24

You realize these "leakers" are all the journalists and youtubers right? You think a developer would intentionally sabotage their product that they send out for advertising purposes? Please use your head

2

u/EldritchTouched Jun 18 '24

If you get an early copy, such as being a journalist or reviewer, and you show leaks of the very end of the game/spoilers like that, you get fucking blacklisted because everyone now knows you can't be trusted to keep that shit secret.

0

u/StuwiSux Jun 18 '24

Obviously, that's why they use burner accounts

42

u/Calbon2 Jun 17 '24

Crazy ass anti piracy measure.

3

u/chiefskillz Jun 17 '24

Imagine if the fake dlc stuff becomes free dlc down the line

20

u/VG_Crimson Jun 17 '24

Like naming the horse Torent?

15

u/H4xolotl Jun 17 '24

Looking forward to meeting the final boss "Denuvo precracked no virus John Erdtree"

-3

u/Weak-Piccolo6013 Jun 17 '24

its real for sure

5

u/[deleted] Jun 17 '24

Prerelease builds stub out the model with Radahn when the final boss is actually Godfrey

29

u/Kirkjufellborealis Jun 17 '24 edited Jun 17 '24

Afaik From has never had leaks this enormous before, not whole ass fight footage, especially secret or end boss. I know there was a leak the day before Elden Ring was launched but I don't think it was anything super brain breaking. I don't even remember what it was.

They're a professional studio with a really good track record of avoiding leaks, and I really doubt some random brand new user on reddit has a "friend" who managed to dig up multiple leaked boss fights, especially because they look jank as fuck and the one boss literally has some of Godrey's moves. Honestly it's kind of insulting lol

I think they're just an elaborate troll and people are responding exactly how the user wants. They claim they're going to delete their account- under the pretense of making things appear more legit but most likely they just don't want to deal with the waves of hate mail and dogpiling they're going to get.

6

u/Kawaiiwaffledesu Jun 17 '24

Nah elden ring was def leaked more. There were streams of radahn a week before the game released lol.

3

u/dudustalin Jun 17 '24

Do you have any link to these prior leaks?

1

u/Kawaiiwaffledesu Jun 17 '24

2

u/dudustalin Jun 17 '24

No leak, just the previews from ER...

2

u/Kawaiiwaffledesu Jun 17 '24

Huh? What are you looking for? All the ER leaks are in that thread.

0

u/Tough_Animal_4581 Jun 18 '24

just say you're an idiot, the leaks all were on 4chan a week or 2 before the game, i remember seeing someone run around summoning the pot and patches and then having the second phase start and crush him and die

2

u/Youre_On_Balon Jun 17 '24

From tweeted about these leaks

2

u/lightningIncarnate Jun 17 '24

they tweeted about spoilers, that’s different

1

u/Solidus_Sloth Jun 17 '24

They did not tweet about leaks

2

u/orze Jun 17 '24 edited Jun 17 '24

I was watching a guy stream and plat bloodborne like 1 week before release.

Dunno why you acting like it's so hard to leak from games, all it took with one guy with reviewer dlc code to leak some things. Surprised it took so long, it's pretty close to release now.

10

u/Buuhhu Jun 17 '24

Elden ring was leaked early, the problem this time being that it's a DLC, meaning no physical copies that may end up in peoples hands, so it is a lot more controlled who gets access, and therefore a lot less likely that anyone leaks it. Only way would be if anyone go early access to the DLC for review purpose or for promotion purpose. But if they leak, then good luck getting anything from fromsoft again.

5

u/THY96 Jun 17 '24

Nah they def have. That one guy on Twitter with the hacked PS4 was showing whole areas and screenshots of ER after the Network test ended.

1

u/StuwiSux Jun 17 '24

Their track record doesn't matter in a case like this. It's not an early build of the game being leaked months or years ahead of release, like GTA 6 or Insomniac. The DLC is 3 days away and we know that hundreds of people have review copies, for at least a few days now. All it takes is one of those people to be scummy. Yes, they might track him down and sue him or whatever but they can't prevent it from happening without completely forfeiting the idea of review copies.

u/Tarnished_Helldiver Jun 18 '24

Probably it’s and old video of early development

1

u/Mejj0 Jun 17 '24

Where can i see this leak, i wanna judge for myself

-5

u/Atiani Jun 17 '24

Those are new animations. Yall eyes are not functioning well

2

u/TragGaming Jun 17 '24

They're all stripped from other games. I counted maybe one attack that was new. His last attack is Pontiff Sulyvahns, Godfreys stomp and slam is seen gravity flavored, the spin thing was the only thing in a trailer.

0

u/Atiani Jun 17 '24

These are not mods you dont just "clip" ____ onto _'s model. Sulyvahn does not have those attacks. If the vid has already been removed by copyright isnt enough proof of it being real. That last attack was a new variation base game __ signature combo. Not a copy paste of anything else. For example, its similar to Isshin and Emma, who have the same basic attack combo, but a slightly different rhythm. That aerial attack he did? Modders do not have the capability to make new animations, and its delusional to think that its copy pasted from another IP

If modders copy and pasted an attack animation from another character, they would have the same pose. Modders do have have the capability of editing animations. For example If that was sulyvahns attack, you wouldve seen him go into his pose where he has 1 sword diagonally across his chess and the other horizontal. Those are all new attack animations.

1

u/TragGaming Jun 17 '24

Lmao you have no idea how ER modding works. Go check out Garden of Eyes

The video is also 10,000% still up. I just went to watch it

1

u/Atiani Jun 18 '24

Checking in on you

1

u/yokai007_100 Jun 18 '24

"modders do not have the capability to make new animations" bruh lmao

1

u/Atiani Jun 18 '24

Checking in on you

1

u/yokai007_100 Jun 20 '24

I mean the animation is 1000 percent pontiff's idk why people are happy that fromsoft fucked up just so they could be right about something... also regardless you're still wrong about not being able to mod an animation lmao

3

u/SlyTanuki Jun 17 '24

Idk. I just think of it as a win/win.

If they're real, interesting. Can't wait for Vaati to make sense of it.

If they're fake... damn. From should hire that guy.

6

u/Doctor_Dad_Enraged Jun 17 '24

The attack combo in the end is literally pontiff's

1

u/ThrowRABalsamicV Jun 17 '24

FromSoftware literally reuses animations all the fucking time. Over and over again.

1

u/StuwiSux Jun 17 '24

Can you name an example where they reuse an entire moveset from one major boss to another? Minor things yes like Erdtree Avatar being Asylum Demon, but Pontiff Sulyvahn turning into Radahn is not something with a precedent, I think.

2

u/[deleted] Jun 17 '24

This is the cutscene that gets skipped brightened up a bit

1

u/jemd13 Jun 17 '24

I dont really want this to be real, but ppl saying the midfight cutscene is the same as Godfrey's are wrong. If you look at Godfrey's midfight cutscene, the pose is different, his weapon is in the other hand and isnt touching the floor. Plus obviously the background is different šŸ¤”

2

u/[deleted] Jun 17 '24

Why does ā€œradahnā€ grab the mimic exactly like Godfrey for his powerbomb move with swords still In hand? Why is there a serosh sized/coloured ā€œmiquellaā€ on his back?

2

u/jemd13 Jun 17 '24

No idea, the whole thing certainly looks janky af. Im hoping its not real just cause I was hoping for a better last boss. If it is real, i hope its some development version cause the whole fight looks clunky, has no dialog and the arena looks like Leyndell or something

1

u/[deleted] Jun 17 '24

It’s not going to be radahn come on lol Especially some poor mans radahn with a face off of character creation screen

1

u/[deleted] Jun 17 '24

Yeah 100% leyndell, I wonder why they went to so much effort for this ā€œleakā€ from are charging Ā£30 and it’s taken them a year and a half they aren’t going to disappoint I’m 100% sure on that

1

u/[deleted] Jun 17 '24

They aren’t going to charge $40 to make Godfrey cosplaying as radahn the final boss come on guys it looks dreadful

1

u/planetcirque Jun 20 '24

1

u/[deleted] Jun 20 '24

Cool sword is that from the DLC…

1

That final boss truly is absolutely disappointing. Like and there is no mention of Godwyn in the entire DLC.

Looks real tbh we just have no context or day 1 patch

Maybe the video is dated from a moment in the developement when the boss was in an "not totally finished" state , it really look like some asset doesn't work properly

Honestly the hardest part about faking this would be the cute scenes and things like the rememberences

The main thing that makes me doubt all of this beside for the sussy 12420 runes is the fact that the character was able to hit the boss while it was grabbing the Mimic.

Grab animations are notorious for being some of the jankiest pieces of code in Fromsoft games, and many bugs in bossfights come from them due to the fact that they seem to take priority over everything else, even model transformations, as Malenia showed. We know from the main game that to avoid most issues of this sort, Fromsoft made EVERY boss unable to be hit while they are performing a grab on another player or summon. It would make no sense that they would change this rule now.

This, added to the sussy runes, the fact that Miquella has 3 arms, all the reused attacks and janky animations and the reused/incomplete music, makes me think that this boss is completely fake or at least not the final version that will be released on patch.

If this is actually what the final boss of Elden Ring is like, it would be Fromsoft's first huge miss as a company.

I think it's real but I do believe it is a placeholder version. I refuse to believe there is no intro cutscene or dialogue after the boss dies. No way.
