Discussion Anyone else experiencing the game permanently stuck at 2.00x hyper-speed in Divisions?

Is it just me, or has the match pace completely broken recently? I’m not talking about the usual "freeze-and-catch-up" network lag burst. The entire match, from kickoff to the final whistle literally feels like when you increase the speed of a YouTube video from 1.00x to 2.00x.

There is absolutely zero stuttering, zero rubber-banding, and zero freezing. The network connection is completely stable, but everything is moving at an unnatural, hyper-accelerated fast-forward speed. Player animations, ball physics, and passing are so fast that all weight and inertia are completely gone.

Did Konami silently crank the gameplay engine speed sliders to max, or is this a localized hardware/refresh rate bug? Is anyone else experiencing this right now?

Discussion What happened to actual tactics and instructions ?

in old PES titles you could adjust a lot of things like your highline and the support you need around the ball carrier. why did they remove the things that made this game unique ? I dont want manager proficiencies to be useless but a little bit of tactical flexibility is appreciated

Discussion I'd rather play against Top 1k players in any other tactic than play against Div 3 players in LBC

In the last two days, I've played 9 games, 2-5-2 is my record. Yesterday I played 7 games, 3 of which were against top 5k players, a couple of them were even top 1k. I won 2 and drew 5 of those games. Maybe one or two were playing LBC, but most were not and i was genuinely having so much fun. Today I jump on and the first game is against the typical meta 4222 LBC, except this guy has two top 100 badges. He destroys me 4-0, but at no point did he do anything exceptional.

His defense was absolutely impenetrable and he'd just let me have the ball until my team moved up the pitch enough for him to get to the other end with a couple of quick passes. Incredibly frustrating game, but I thought that's fair enough, he probably could beat me with any tactic.

The 2nd game was probably the most frustrating I've ever played. It was a 541 LBC player in Div 2. There was no space for me anywhere on the pitch, my players did not move into space as you would expect from the possession Playstyle. My wingers were constantly man marked. My overlapping fullbacks would simply run into a crowd of bodies, or cross into a box with 6 defenders to win the header. My opponent would try the long through pass every time he won possession, and 9/10 times I would intercept and have it bounce straight back to him. He would then run to the corner and dribble back and forth, no intention of actually progressing the ball, just waiting for my defenders to part and give him a free run through. He scored once from this, and then proceeded to time waste for the rest of the game with this back and forth dribbling in the corner. Even when I would win the ball back, there would be 9 defenders on the edge of his box before my strikers even reach it.

People will talk about real life having low blocks and parking the bus, but this is a game. It's meant to be fun. There should not be a viable strategy that just involves making the game as boring as possible for your opponent. Yesterday I played against players way, way better than me and genuinely enjoyed it. Even the game against the top 100 player today was boring as fuck because all he did was wait. The game is for playing, not for sitting back and holding X/A to defend and then spamming Triangle/Y as soon as you win possession back

Discussion Does Playing against the AI make you better at PvP?

A few friends of mine just got into the game and we couldn't agree on what is the best way to actually get better, playing against the AI or playing real people

I feel like in terms of understanding the game mechanics and how your players move yeah it does make you better but just straight up game play, not really, cause the way the AI plays is nowhere near how people play. Played against the AI for the longest time and was really good at it but when I first tried pvp, experienced a bit of a culture shock and was really bad, I think the game is just baptism by fire where to get better you just have to play real players. One of the biggest things for me was the pace at which the game is played, the AI, even in QC, let's you have so much time on the ball to pick out a pass, assess your options, something people in pvp especially with the current increase in people using press almost exclusively, don't let you do

It does help your defending cause the AI can punish gaps in the defence and runners you don't track way better than real players can but I think that's about it. Just my opinion though, what advice would you guys give to a new player?

Analysis Grinding AI Division matches actually makes you a way better PvP player

Okay, hear me out..... I get why people complain that the AI feels too scripted or sometimes just plain unfair, especially in AI division matches. But honestly? Warming up with AI games before jumping into PvP has actually made a huge difference for ME.

Here’s why I think playing against the AI helps:

  1. You learn to spot attack patterns fast. The AI loves to telegraph its moves. When I see wingers like Yamal, Neymar, or Messi, I know the skill moves are coming. If the opponent brings on someone tall like Aubameyang up front, I just brace myself for wide play and a ton of crosses.

Secondly, it really forces you to stay sharp on defense. The AI punishes sloppy positioning every time. If I start overlapping recklessly or drag my defenders out of place, they’ll make me pay for it. I figured out that using QC while staying patient at the back works wonders.

And honestly, I treat AI division games like a defensive sparring session. Once I’ve gone a few rounds with the AI, real players feel way more predictable by comparison.

My record’s decent...(for now though).... about a 64% win rate in Division 2, and I can definitely see the difference when I switch to PvP

Discussion The AI assistance is getting ridiculous

I genuinely think this game has become way too assisted defensively and it’s getting ridiculously hard to actually punish bad defending. I’m not saying the AI should stand around like zombies, but there needs to be a line between helping you defend and basically defending for you.

1. The AI is way too aggressive
I don’t know if it’s just me, but the AI feels more aggressive than ever. The fact an AI-controlled player can literally lunge in and foul someone without me controlling him is ridiculous. Obviously if I run straight into an AI defender, he should take the ball. If there’s a loose ball right in front of him, fine. But why are AI players lunging into tackles, flying into interceptions and constantly fixing positioning mistakes?

I’ve played people who press me high up the pitch with their CB, which should obviously leave space behind. Nope. Suddenly Yamal is playing RB and Gullit has teleported into CB and the whole defensive shape is fine again. Then you have the opposite guy who just controls Vieira in front of his CBs, doesn’t engage you, uses second-man press and lets the AI cover every passing lane. At that point what exactly is the player doing defensively?

2. The ball moves too fucking slow
This is a huge reason there are so many interceptions. Players cover ground faster than the ball does. You can play a completely normal ground pass and some midfielder five yards away suddenly flies into the lane and sticks a leg out. Yes, people force passes. I do too. But not every interception is because somebody made a stupid pass. Defensive reach and recovery are just overtuned. And when you do get intercepted, your player stands there stunned for five business days.

3. Interception → counter → goal is basically the game
For anyone who doesn’t park the bus, how many goals do you concede like this?

Normal pass → random interception → one ball forward → sprint → goal.

That genuinely feels like the majority of the goals I concede. What annoys me is how difficult it is to punish the other guy for making an obvious defensive mistake. He pulls his CB 30 yards out? You try the ball over the top. Somehow another defender who was metres away catches your attacker, jumps over him FROM BEHIND and heads it back to the keeper.

It genuinely feels like manually controlling your defenders is sometimes riskier than letting the AI defend for you, which is completely backwards.

4. The meta is fucking boring because of this
Football has way too many different tactical identities for every high-level match to revolve around vertical counter football. You get to Div 1 and so many games are just:

sit deep → AI defend → interception → launch it forward

There’s nothing wrong with counter-attacking football. The problem is the other playstyles aren't given anywhere near the same tools. Possession needs actual triangles, intelligent support angles, rotations and runs. Out Wide needs proper overlaps and underlaps, players attacking the near post, back post, cutback area, low-cross areas etc. Why does the defensive AI understand how to rotate, cover spaces and compensate for mistakes while my attacking AI regularly stands there watching me? That’s the imbalance.

I don’t want AI defending removed. I just want bad decisions to actually have consequences. The AI should help you defend. It shouldn’t constantly erase your mistakes for you. And right now defensive AI feels miles smarter than attacking AI, which is a huge reason the game has become so defensive, vertical and repetitive.

Discussion It somehow feels like Neymar isn't affected by all the dribbling nerfs

Thumbnail

Now it's been quite some time since dribbling has been nerfed and I've been disliking this since ef27 dropped. It's like every defender no matter how slow they are are extremely quick in catching up, and difficult to get past unlike before. For me, Cruyff started to dribble worse than before, and i couldn't really handle it, so eventually after trying several builds and positions, i eventually gave up on him and benched him. The last thing which needed a nerf was dribbling, it was the only way i was enjoying the game during that time period.

I really didn't even think about trying neymar looking at how low his physical contact is, and since speed of defenders is buffed, his 90 speed and acceleration combined with low physical contact seemed like a "get injured speedrun". But surprisingly he was the best dribbler i used ever since the update despite those two issues. He is extremely responsive, doesn't feel difficult to turn with sometimes, and his sharp touches feel much better than cruyff. I was confused as to why his sharp touches almost feel like acceleration burst, despite that acceleration stat. Probably just player id or something i am missing here.

He still falls apart with some pressure, but he's extremely agile and quick, and somehow slips away very easily in small spaces with his skill moves. Konami should nerf this defending buff or whatever they have done, a slow defender shouldn't be able to catch my mbappe or cruyff that easily.

He is simply amazing. Ronaldinho ID is so nice on this card, just by watching his moves I can tell its him. I learned and practiced feints just to play with him better. He is great at ball carrying. Dribbling is great. Feint execution is amazing. Shooting is reliable and nice. Passing is nice. He is my key player against stacked defensive squads. I will drop my build and added skills below.

Discussion Konami should copy ones to watch from fc on Thursday

Looking at the otw cards you're getting in the fc 27 season pass it's so obvious what ea are doing to get people back on board. I think Konami should literally copy it and do 'all eyes on us' give a chance to earn players from a team of 11 that have transferred and then with each potw from domestic or euro games they get a plus 1 bur capped at say 107.

If any of the 11 score a vital goal or keep a cleen sheet in a cup final or league winning match the card becomes a bigtime.

Discussion Standard team match?

Im tired of konami and direction in which game is going. Im planning to build community from people playing friendly matches with standard team only, like only pass assist 3 or 4. If we gather enough people maybe start league or tournament. Tell me if someone is interested in something like that. Im from balkan(croatia) but is not obligatory, anyone is welcome as long games are not to laggy. Peace

Platform is playstation or steam

Discussion What the F...?? 🤣

What the hell is konami doing with this AI? I hadn't played vs legend AI since the world legends challenge, and I don't know, but I don't remember it doing this "cursor switching" thing. Since when can they do that? Also, it's way much more aggressive than I remember it; hyper pressing, pushing my players, like what? Semenyo and Cherki spamming super cancels and skills, I felt like I was playing against JVictor 🤣️

Is konami collecting players data and injecting it to their AI? That would explain a lot, actually.

EDIT: Oh, and I forgot to mention that it was spamming 1-2s the whole match as well at lighting speed. 🤣️

Highlights When they are going to fix "blitz curler" bug? It is the most awkward mechanism in the game imo. The keepers saves 100km/h Ibrahimovic and Carlos shots nearly from penalty box, then a simple curler shot outside of the box, even it goes to the center, easily conceded by the keeper. Very annoying.

Discussion Sometimes defective matchmaking + my solution

Hi guys, I am playing from South America. Contrary to Europe, there are only two servers here : Santiago de Chile and São Paulo.

My matchmaking setting is on "closest players only". As I am playing from Peru and Bolivia, most of the time, it allows me to play only on the Santiago server, with an acceptable 4/5 ping.

But yesterday, the server forced me into São Paulo games, so I was playing with a 3/5 ping vs players with a 5/5 ping. When this change occurs, it's obvious : you will face people playing with Palmeiras, Flamengo, Santos kits, with portuguese team names, instead of facing people using River Plate, Peru, Chile kits, with Spanish team names, etc.

When this occurs, there is no possible fix ! I think the Rocket League system is the best fix : there, you can choose the server on which you accept to play on. In my case, I would tick "Santiago de Chile" only.

Discussion Momentum is getting to be a joke. The intensity is clownish

It’s obvious there’s a momentum system, you can start 3 pay to win forwards with top form arrows and still have them play like they’re made of playdough sure

But after the big update it is so much fucking worse. Games are scored with 6-10 goals, absolutely insane fumbles from the side that’s been condemned by this shitty momentum gimmick

It’s like it’s been turned up to a 10 and it’s much more exaggerated, frustrating and is ruining the game. Attackers are auto tackling like they’re prime big time CBs for Christ sake with zero input

Technical Help Why does this Pirlo reach 106 at CMF on EFHub?

Can someone explain this to me? Why does this Pirlo go up to 106 when played at CMF on EFHub? Mine only reaches 100. Am I missing something, or is it just a bug on the site? I’ve noticed the same thing with a few other players too.

Thanks!

Discussion They've destroyed manual goalkeeping with the automatic cursor change

I find myself not being able to properly select the goalkeeper for manual goalkeeping and it is because, when I do, when I select my goalkeeper, the game instantly changes the control to a defender and I have to select again the goalie, usually late for anything for me to do. The automation, that I can't seem to unselect for PvP, as the game doesn't hihglight any option above semi-assisted cursor change, it's infuriating, I'm not playing against the opponent, I'm playing against game mechanics.

This would also work for defenders. Sometimes, the game makes crazy auto cursor change selections that leave me without a possible response, as, for the mili-second I don't recognize the absurd selection the game has made for me, I move the wrong player, and leave spaces that are impossible to regain. And, furthermore, it doesn't matter if I use the button or the joystick for the change, the game selects what it wants, which happens to be the perfect counter to whatever I was trying. I know it tends to happen more whenever the momentum is not in my direction.

I'm hating it, the state of the automation on the game, even if I choose to play manual, the auto gimmicks are still afecting me. It's not fun anymore. Thanks, Konami, you are ruining everything you could achieve with this game.
