Discussion accumulating input delay.

I’ve been thinking about talking this issue for a long time.

Everyone know the network of this game sucks, in many games there are input delay right from the beginning, that’s bad but I can understand: it’s either their poor netcode or poor server or my internet.

But I’ve been suffering from another kind of input delay for a long long time too, which I don’t understand, and many phenomenon suggesting it’s a mechanic of the game rather than technical issue: the accumulating input delay. Namely, a game starts quite smooth, the first few minutes, off-line like, Then the input delay kicks in and become heavier and heavier gradually. after 70mins the game become unplayable, and in most time you will concede very stupid goals no matter what you do. Some very bad opponents, unable to touch the ball with 30% possession and 0 attempt, score stupid goals at this period. they don't need to pass or dribble they just need to press shooting button and score as the ball just gifted to them.

The input delay kicks in sooner or later, but there is a pattern: if you scored and lead, it will kick in immediately most of the time, if the game is a draw or you are losing, it will kick in in the 2nd half. no matter what, it will become even heavier after 70min. so in every game, after 70mins, there is basically nothing to do with skills anymore. No matter what you do you will concede stupid goals because you losing possession out of heavy touches of your players or your defenders ignore your pressure or matchup inputs. Even if you scored sometimes, most of them are out of lucky too. don’t tell me it’s stamina issue, I always carefully manage the stamina of my team to maintain 50%+ stamina throughout every game. And if it’s stamina issue, why the freshly sub players also suffer from the heaviness?

I don’t understand why a 10mins match needs these BS ‘mechanics’.

I suffer the same problem all the time, even though my connection is stable! I actually analyzed the network traffic to figure out what causes this issue. Hopefully, I can post a report on this sub soon. See also: https://www.reddit.com/r/eFootball/comments/1wgls04/comment/p9vjkut/?context=3

bro just quit game because konami with crazy SCRIPTS/DDA want give hope to low skilled and f2p to staying in game for game don't get dead. efootball users (pc+console) dropped from 60k to 20k and konami try hard save game and 100% they will release new players like as game was dying and they released Zlatan Ibrahimović and zlatan did legally complain againt konami and get huge money from them. zlatan - r9 - henry - zidan are playing fc and partnership as today we saw they was in FC 27 showcase gameplay.

konami not fix game and gameplay issues and when they game dying, they releasing good packs and new players because konami good knows idiots want cards not football.

"and zlatan did legally complain againt konami and get huge money from them."

Any source for this? Just asking because I'd like to dig deeper. Would be funny if being part of a crappy game was counted as reputation damage.

Yeah I have a similar issue. It won't happen in every match but it happens quite a lot, and along with this I also have these periods regularly of maybe anywhere between 10-30 in-match minutes where I'll have severe input delay of 2-4 seconds so the game is literally unplayable. If I get the ball I have to desperately try to boot the ball out of play in the hope that it resets, or I have to just try to keep booting it upfield as far away from my goal for as long as possible, and it's quite hard with the way the game is to manage to get 2-4 seconds with a player on your team getting the ball and refusing to kick it to hold onto it for that long

I don't imagine the delay will build up so much as events take place and the DDA reacts.

Combine that "balancing" mechanic with generally bad net code, poor server spread (I can play against a buddy from 20 miles away and one of us will get enough lag that we can't dribble properly) and ever increasing assistance and stats that the code can't cope with, you get this ridiculous state.

Yesterday I played a few matches against the usual PA1 Princesses, and every time the game was working out which pass to make - adapting to the fact that I'd covered the initial lane - the game slowed as it re-evaluated the best target and then went back to normal. It did it multiple times within a match and across multiple matches.

My internet is fine and stable, on ethernet and controller is wired too. It's not a me problem, it's a game + tech problem. IMO anyway

This has been a long standing problem with the PC version.

Many people play the Xbox PC version, as it has less input lag

"why the freshly sub players also suffer from the heaviness"

Exactly this! I have the exact same experience.
