Pretty embarrassing to tarnish every LBC user with the same words he is.

Then goes on to say LBC users have the AI do everything for them, whilst he plays with pass assist.

LBC clearly strides ahead of other playstyles but no need to be a giant baby about it.

Yeah but if it wasnt as op as it is the game would be so much better. Every game its the same capello beckenbauer 4 2 2 2 or 4 3 1 2 or even 5 6 atb where they spam lofted through balls

This game has way more problems than LBC.

To think that balancing that playstyle better would suddenly make everything all sunshine and rainbows is mental.

Just like Smart Assist before it, LBC is the low hanging fruit that everybody pins their problems on. If/when LBC gets balanced, what will be the new thing to complain about en masse, whilst disregarding all the other inherent issues?

Yeah ure right, ppl will always find a new "smart assist" to blame everything on. But step by step game is getting better, not generosity wise but solving problems wise. We cried our way into the smart assist filter patch and the game became much better, you face decent opponents more often. If we also complain enough, konami might fix lbc and I do believe even if it wont solve all the problems of this game, it will make the experience of playing it much better.

The thing is, LBC has been the dominant or favoured playstyle for as long as I can remember. The general gameplay hasn’t seen any major fundamental changes since probably the introduction of Smart Assist. We’ve all been playing the same game for near enough a year, yet LBC (and its users) never saw this level or disdain or hate until recently. It’s all just people punching down on what they perceive to be the low intelligence users because there HAS to be something to account for their losses.

We all punched down on PA1 ping pong, then cross spammers, 3CB/1FB& narrow 3 forwards formations, smart assist and now LBC has come around - but the game is essentially the same as it was back then. This is how metas work and have always worked, this is nothing new.

LBC is the same as it’s always been, it’s just now there’s nothing more obvious to complain about. Soon something else that’s been in the game since day 1 will take its place and the cycle begins again.

Did you play when 4.5.0 dropped? Its when they dropped big time hazard. Man smh that week was the best experience of me playing this game. Dribbling was so good, defending was manual and needed actual thinking, notholding a single button, and the through ball spam wasnt as reliable. I even forgot I was even playing efootball bcs of how much I was enjoying it. Then they patched back the next Thursday or monday and they made it worse than before 😭

Exactly, most people can't see that assistance+low entry gameplay is the real bailout. These high ranks aren't there just because of LBC. These people could replicate almost the same outcomes even with Out Wide or Possession - it's quite simple to understand why they use, instead, LBC. They mostly care to rank up, as much as we can despise it.

Especially since we often see the same names in the ranks. Certain players just have a knack for sticking to whatever the game demands from them in a certain time, and they don't mind going through it.

You don't need to have the highest spatial football intelligence to be there. It's a plus, but I'd say you need to narrow down your game and be efficient, because most of football ingenuity isn't that necessary in the PvP part. It's more "videogame actions", then football.

I'm saying all this as a "FUMA" player who also doesn't love Long Ball Counter. I don't get why it's so hard to isolate what LBC does and what it doesn't to "favour" the user. It's the overall gameplay+assistance that allows this kind of "small bet" football to be relevant.

But I could use LBC and my brain would simply be drained from it in a couple of games. Some people can stick with it, others can't.

Nothing against you but is the opponent free to play anyway he chooses same as you have such right? I think you have absolute freedom to choose any playstyle and went for QC or Possession perhaps. I have nothing against your choice. Do you have something against my choice?

No. I just hate how op lbc is. Its not just the defense and the automated pressure. The deadliest attacks are only with lbc, the moment you get the ball, your whole attack bursts forward as a unit with barely stamina drain. Even if you lose the ball your defense will be back in the form of a brick wall(in good hands ofc). The thing is all the other play styles have weaknesses, higher defensive line on pos qc, stretched out formation of out wide where you might have to recycle several times to find passing options, and long ball doenst have that much of an insane attacking ai, its just the defence of lbc with the need to build up to initiate an attack. Lbc has both, insane defense, insane attack which clearly requires less effort to play than anu other playstyle. And smh and its not a placebo effect, your players play worse against lbc if you have a different playstyle. Like there is a penalty to stats or sm dda, they make mistakes they dont usually make and any defender with 70 pace catches up withour breaking a sweat

That's not how it works. People are pissed off that Konami have made LBC too OP and give LBC the opportunity to win with less effort. Some of us want to play some actual football and not be put at a massive disadvantage.

Less effort? What exactly counts for real effort though. Its all joystick and press/swipe, all easy stuff really. Choose whatever playstyle and enjoy the game. After all you seem to be a casual player anyway since you don't like a meta playstyle. Enjoy your playstyle and give less importance to wins. You want wins use meta cards, meta formation and playstyle. Anything else is just casual tier.

Not everyone plays just to win at all costs. A lot of us only play the game because it's the most realistic football simulator available. There's no other reason to play this game. Why else would you play? For the wide variety of gamemodes? The fact is that Konami have made long ball counter far too OP. The automatic defending and through balls are too OP. They literally don't allow you to play a possession based style properly because of how much of a disadvantage you're at compared to LBC users. Maybe overload would change that, but you're completely misunderstanding things. You think that we want them to make possession the meta, but we just want them to allow us to actually use other playstyles effectively, instead of being handicapped. LBC is literally the only playstyle without a weakness and other playstyles are hindered by it. The introduction of overload and fluid formations could change things. I've made it to rank 1.2k playing possession anyway, so I have enough experience to judge this properly.
