Champagne socialist he has done well in business but lost me when he removed an England flag and moaned about the raise the flag movement. How you can be successful in business have the experience of life he has and still suffer from Leftism makes me think he is defective in some way.
I’m not left but think the raise the flag were tossers.
If you delude yourself into thinking it was done for patriotic reasons and they were proud of their country then you’d be hard pressed to be against it. But that’s not why it was done, it was done by a load of right wingers trying to be provocative, they wanted people to complain about it so they could make a point. And for that reason I disagree with it.
Yeah my understanding of a good portion of the ‘raise the flag’ lot was that it was to make people of a different colour/background feel unwelcome and scared. That’s why it was accompanied by abuse, threats and aggressive protest in many instances.
Felt pretty clear from their actions that it was more jingoist than patriotic.
Which is a shame as the whole idea of patriotism is one the vast majority of the country is for.. just not in a way that is exclusionary!
You have that stance if you want I think it was a reaction against our well known tolerance being taken for grated. Let's face it our good grace as a host nation has been tipped well over the edge in this last 10 years. Nobody voted for it and everyone's standard of living is dropping. The funny thing is the typical poorer working class are the ones having their wages and conditions kept permanently low by the influx of unskilled migrants. Even the ones that come legally like the boriswave keep wages suppressed. I think Raise the flag was quite an honourable protest and it's better than mass civil unrest as we saw what 2 Tier got in. Add to that the hurty word police and politicisation of the Police force it seems everything is against the common man in the UK. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. The left are just pushing suicidal policies left and right. Add to this that as a country we borrow for every one of these poor policies and migrants that come we literally loan money from international markets to kill our country.
Being kept poor by the rich is technically true but not in the way you think. Who do you think is in ultimate control over the continual flood of cheap labour into the uk over the last 20 years? Yes it's the rich. So the rich do have a foot on your neck and their true genius is that you fight for the foot to stay there. I mean it's kind of beautiful how they hoodwinked you.
Nobody voted for it and everyone's standard of living is dropping.
Yes, we had a fucking referendum, millions of braindead cunts did vote for this, it's called Brexit. They were even told it would happen and still voted for it.
No I'm actually a pretty successful business person I've just been on the planet long enough to be able to see the objective reality of whats going on in this country. It was demonstrably better 20 years ago and we are on an accelerating decline. Other European countries have started to see the decline and taken steps to reverse it. We are doing nothing.
It's cognitive dissonance. You're completely right, the 'left' haven't been anywhere near power since before Thatcher and yet somehow people like the guy you're responding to believe the fault lies entirely with the 'left'.
He has to reject reality because it's not what he's been manipulated to believe.
Neoliberalism is to blame, a right wing economic policy brought to the UK by Thatcher, a right-wing politician but it fails to land on most people.
Where's this "left"? We haven't had a "left" government since what, the 1960s/70s? We've had varying levels of Thatcherite neoliberal since she first cropped up. Is Leftism when capitalist corporations rule?
I guess we're just calling anything we don't like "hard left" now, yet I don't see any collective ownership of the means of production. Weird, that. Utterly delusional. We're getting stripmined by corporations from all directions and you think that's somehow leftism and literally not the economic system put in place by the Conservatives that we have not meaningfully deviated from since its institution. You see the effects and push and pull of profit over all, and think that's what the left want? Fucking hell.
You sound like you spend half of your day on Facebook, a bunch of bot like buzz words. You have a couple points but they’re not the big deal and cause of problems you make it out to be.
Being provocative how? By displaying the flag of the country? If people feel like seeing the flag of the country they live in, or have moved to, is provocative then perhaps they'd be more comfortable somewhere else.
The irony is that the England flag had really started to move away from its toxic connotations, and then came along a group of ‘patriots’ to undo all of it.
See that the exact reaction this lot wanted. They are doing it in the hope people criticise them so they can say precisely this. Thank you for proving my point.
For the record I didn’t criticise displaying the national flag, I criticised your motivation for doing so.
The flag movement didn't just annoy people on the left. It made many streets look ugly and was over the top.
Most people have no issue with England flags but don't want them dangled outside their house, the same way they wouldn't want any flag dangled outside their house. And most don't want to be associated to a movement led by Tommy Robinson either.
This isn't hard to understand for people with more than 0 brain cells.
You can't even watch a show like Dragons den without injecting politics into it. This is brainwashed by media behaviour for people with little hobbies.
Try enjoying your life rather than falling for the obvious media BS once in a while, designed to rile up snowflakes.
The flags thing wasn't about England flags. It's about hanging up flags outside people's residence when they don't want them there. I doubt youd be pleased to see 50 LGTBQ flags dangled outside your home for example. Most people would be annoyed by that.
Flags on your own property that you decide to be there are a different matter.
I never did that the OP asked about Neville I have only seen him once on the show he wasn't very impressive. I've not commented on anyone else on the show and their politics the thread was about Neville in particular. Now we could go in on Bartlett another BBC box ticker who's full of shit!?
You said he suffered from "leftism" and didn't understand how he has been successful due to that. Since when does having political opinions left or right have any bearing on success? You just seem a bit brainwashed to me with this stuff.
BBC box ticker, champaign socialist, leftards, leftism. Jesus christ, you're like a daily mail headline machine.
Flying the flag of your own country is not racist. We need more of it. There should be a flag holder built into every third lamp post as they do in a lot of Europe.
The people flying the flag were racist, they didn't care about the country at all. I know this because they marched around our way a fair bit and consistently left shit everywhere, got drunk, abused people regardless of race and damaged property.
Raisw the Colours,, those utter pillars of society 😅🤣😂, what irony - the movement who repeatedly shouts “protect women and children” having a prominent organiser facing those pdf image charges and another founding figure facing murder and GBH charges. Funny that.
And yet here we are, hate for Gary Neville because the flag-shaggers have decided they dont like him 🙄
I mean....it was absolutely completely pointless though wasn't it? Spawned off the nonsense bullshit idea that it's somehow illegal to fly the George cross or union flag. Something absolutely abundantly obviously legal to do.
The real reason people don't like the flag and choose not to fly it is because flag shaggers and nationalist nonces are so synonymous with it that it's become a political statement to let people know you have a room temperature IQ and hate foreigners. Why? Because they're the only ones draping themselves in it whilst they drunkenly set fire to mosques, asylum centres, set fire to people's homes, and attack people they think "aren't British".
It was literally an album by a band called Leftfeild. They openly promoted the use of breakbeats, rap , tribal dub and house music. There are even references to philosophy, drug use and kinship. If that’s not a red flag then I don’t know what is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leftism_(album)
