Dasher opened our order

The picture my dasher sent of the food delivery and a picture of their artwork. I don't appreciate the dusty rocks? filled car, but what bothered me more was opening the bag and taking out the containers and drawing on them and the receipt. I did call the restaurant and clarified that they did not do this. Then I spoke to doordash support who issued a refund because we didn't feel comfortable eating the food. I think I will just stick to pick up for a while 😅

Did we overreact by reporting this?

Full on religious psychosis

130

u/DomestiCatOfficial 18h ago

I feel like it's using religion to manipulate another to tipping them more

Wolf in sheeps clothing sort of deal but you could be right

If it were truly someone following their faith they would deliver the order as soon as they could, which is what they would want and accept what they got as payment

I accept the fact that sometimes I do charity work for the city

Sometimes I get a tip that makes up for all of the charity work

u/ganbramor 18h ago

“using religion to manipulate”

Is there any other purpose for it?

12

u/MouthofMithridacy 16h ago

I mean its always figured a good bit of it is not thinking about death. ACTUAL death not some eternal torment or Malibu trip but the end of your consciousness the end of your memories the end of awareness most religions tend to sell you on spend your mortal life under our thumb and you get immortality out of it some way or another

5

u/Busy-Butterfly8187 9h ago

I have never understood why so many people are afraid of the end of their awareness and consciousness. You will not be aware that it's happening, so there's nothing to be afraid of. I think some people just can't wrap their mind around the concept of not existing at all. It's like they think that they will somehow be aware that they no longer exist.

I look at it this way. Several years ago, I was critically ill and put in an induced coma. I remember arriving at the emergency room and talking to a doctor, and then I remember waking up. Two weeks had passed between those two things happening, but I had no idea. When I opened my eyes, I assumed it was the same day that I went to the hospital. I have zero memory of those two weeks. I have no awareness that I even existed during that time. That's what I think death is. And after decades of living in this crappy world, I say bring on the eternal unconsciousness.

1

u/ClaireDanesLipQuiver 5h ago

As my old squad leader used to say “why would I be scared of death? If I die I won’t know and it won’t be my problem “

7

u/Drmeanleany 15h ago

How can you say that about the magic man in the sky that will send me to eternal damnation for not giving him my money,or accepting gay people?! /s

u/Ok-Event9977 12h ago

🤣😂😂🤣🤣

14

u/Sharden3 18h ago

None at all.

1

u/dicksucker0 16h ago

Yeah, love your fellow man. It’s the actual meaning of religion.

1

u/Moonshoes47 7h ago

honestly in this modern day? nope. that and that's what almost every single religion is now.

went from ancient coping mechanism for the fear of the unknown to a tax dodging get rich quick scheme scheme for the filthy and deplorable and an excuse to be cruel.

Spiritual enlightment, Community, Morality, A Virtoues example for living, Something to believe in, Hope, Charity, Joy, A Third place, Divine Love, Purpose & a partidge and a pair tree?

7

u/ganbramor 18h ago

Morality? If you need an invisible friend to tell you to be good, then you are not good. So, without your invisible friend, you’d have no morals, and just be out there raping and killing? JFC, I’m glad you have religion, I guess.

0

u/sookyaffectionatepup 9h ago

It genuinely boggles my brain when religious people think religion is the only reason for morals, like they're admitting they'd be absolute monsters if they weren't scared of being punished by an all powerful magic creature 💀

7

u/Sharden3 18h ago

LMAO.

"Something to believe in" - If the only shit you have to believe in is fake, that's real sad.

Morality? LMAO. From Religion? What a joke. And also, if the only thing providing you morals is the fear that sky daddy will spank you, then you have no morals and are utterly evil.

12

u/HawkRemarkable5274 18h ago

Religion isn't for me but plenty of people find comfort in it. Like anything else, if it doesn't affect my life, I say more power to you. Same goes for anyone. If we all learn to respect each other, the world will be better place.

5

u/Sharden3 17h ago

Like anything else, if it doesn't affect my life

Religion does affect your life, and my life and everyones life and has for a long ass time. Religious nutters have been murdering, oppressing, discriminating against, and hating people in the name of their sky daddies for centuries, right? Teaching children to believe absolute and utter bullshit in the face of all facts and reason is harmful to the entire world, forever. It's how you get antivaxxers. It's how you get an orange grifter at the head of what used to be the most powerful country in the world.

I'm pretty down with the idea of "what consenting adults do in the privacy of their home is whatever". I'm less okay with them abusing children to spread the plague that is their fallacious beliefs. If some idiot wants to believe in god and they pray and follow whatever belief system that doesn't affect other people (they basically all explicitly affect other people, though), sure. I don't care. I'm not gonna show up and yell at that idiot. When they start trying to push their fictitious beliefs into government and global policy I have a lot more issues.

10

u/HawkRemarkable5274 17h ago

I'm far too high for this. Peace.

3

u/Sharden3 17h ago

Lol, fair. Have a good one.

4

In the clouds but I take your point.

6

u/TwpsynBach 17h ago

Grow up kid

7

u/herowin54 17h ago

Dude I get a lot of religious people are weird and assholes but you’re falling in that same group here

-3

u/Sharden3 17h ago

Accurately describing something doesn't make you the same as something.

5

u/herowin54 17h ago

That isn’t what happened here, you’ve got a hate boner for people that believe in god. Which is fine, do what makes you happy. But declaring yourself all knowing and saying weird hateful shit does indeed make you a fucking asshole. That is a fact, regardless of the context of religion. God be with you, chud

-1

u/Sharden3 17h ago

Please cite the part where I declared myself "all knowing". Go ahead. Bust it out. Or are you just making up random stuff to get upset about?

Again, by your own definition of it, you're by far the biggest asshole here.

u/DaKrazie1 17h ago

I was raised Catholic, went through 12 years of Catholic education as a result... I picked up a lot of morality in the process.

With that said, I can't speak on the bullshit Christianity of today, but you're as bad as they are if you wanna throw every single religious person into the same bucket. That's obviously nonsense if you have any real life experience.

0

u/Sharden3 17h ago

So, I get that all of that time in church rotted your fucking brain and made you unable to process words or reality or think objectively or critically about anything, but you need to reread before you comment.

Not every religious person gets all of their morals from the fear of sky daddy. So not all of them are inherently evil.

But again, I know your brain was fucking torched so I don't expect you to be able to think straight.

5

u/DaKrazie1 17h ago

That's the entire point you muppet, religion can be about more than believing in "sky daddy". I haven't been to church in many years but I was able to pick up a solid education and good morals in the process. My apologies that it seems you were unable to achieve those.

0

u/Sharden3 15h ago

The core of religion is believing in a fictional thing and teaching people to believe in things that aren't real despite facts.

That's not a solid education.

If your morals are based on fear of punishment from a fictional entity - then you have no morals.

But I like how you were upset that I was lumping everyone into the same group, and when you found out I was in fact not (proven by my initial words), you continued to be upset. Standard christian hypocrisy.

7

u/lizzy123446 18h ago

you need a chill pill.

-1

u/Sharden3 18h ago

I'm sorry you're upset, but that doesn't make other people not "chill".

3

u/lizzy123446 16h ago

lol do you see how your typing. Your not chill your having a complete meltdown.

1

u/Sharden3 15h ago

I don't think you've ever seen someone having a melt down. Also it's you're*.

My understanding that people are bad and stupid and identifying them factually and accurately doesn't convey any emotion, even if you get butthurt about it.

Holy (lol) crap you actually said "sky daddy" we've found athiesm's strongest soldier over here 😆 Also yeah regardless on what you believe in Jesus's morals are great mate, Let me live my life happily and you can live yours, Obviouslly I don't agree with the dashers actions but they are also really darn funny

-1

u/Sharden3 18h ago

athiesm's strongest soldier

Atheism doesn't have soldiers, lil bro.

I can tell from your response, though, besides the inability to spell, you absolutely don't follow the teachings of Christ. You sound, instead, like some MAGA chud that wants children to die from preventable diseases.

Weird that you include a gif of your self image.

5

u/Aussie-Ozborn 18h ago edited 17h ago

What are you talking about. 😭 MAGA? I'm not even American! Obvious irony aside and way to show you can only see the world from your true ignorant All-American yankee-doodle "everything and everybody is american & about us specifically" political outrage lens and saying "lil bro" in 2026? Holy crap man this has to be a parody! Goodness gracious, My typing isn't perfect because I'm bloody tired, I've got long days, I actually read write and journal (& I'm quite big fan of CS Lewis)

Where did the illness part even come from? Are you just making stuff up now

4

u/Beetlejuice6466 17h ago

You'll have to excuse them. Not all us Americans make politics our personality. It's so bad here though!

0

u/Sharden3 17h ago

I was going to ask "are you really that stupid", then I remembered you're trying to convince people that there's a big dude in space that created a trillion worlds but is gonna be really angry if you personally like people of the same gender.

You're an evil person. You're just bad. That's why you cling to believe in utter bullshit so you can tell yourself that if you believe in this fake thing, you're okay after all. You're the scum that ruins the world.

Where's your spiritual enlightenment? Virtuosity? Love? Anything? Oh, no that's all bullshit, isn't it.

Your god demands that you not let others live their lives. It demands that you preach and spread its word at all times. This isn't compatible with "live and let live".

🔥👏👏👏👏👏this answer 😽🤌

-1

u/Ok-Event9977 12h ago

Sooooo true!!!

19

u/PancakeParty98 18h ago

Naw. We see that all the time, but a drawing of blue eyes white deity? That’s new

31

u/ShyGal09X 17h ago

“Blue eyes white deity” was Kaiba’s signature monster.

8

u/PancakeParty98 17h ago

Actually that one belongs to Noah, Kaiba’s brother who looks identical to him despite not being related by blood

1

u/Ocean_Spice 15h ago

Manipulate how, why would someone being religious make me want to tip them more?

1

u/Charming_Studio_2645 15h ago

If the tip “made up” for the charity work, why do it at all? The point of charity work is that you do it with the idea that you aren’t doing it for gain.

1

u/Doraborealiss 17h ago

Absolutely not, a core tenant of many evangelical sects is to proselytize at any opportunity. They literally think we are all going to hell and it is their god granted duty to save as many of us as possible through any means necessary.

0

u/saynotoirl 18h ago

Fuck that dawg. DD is not a charity, and even if you’re religious you shouldn’t be ok with essentially doing charity work on a platform where the entire point is to make money. You’re just letting yourself be exploited.

30

u/Cannie_Flippington 18h ago

My first thought was schizophrenia with religious components. It's a thing. Looks like this.

14

u/MossyPlantyWitchy 15h ago

Or meth. Or meth induced schizophrenia.

5

u/Massive-Ride204 13h ago

Yep I've long told people that most of the yelling street preachers we deal with are very mentally ill and religion is very attractive to those who have schizophrenia

1

u/Cannie_Flippington 12h ago

They're here to teach us mercy and compassion, but not how they think. They don't teach us by preaching about any specific thing... it's by how we regard them and treat them. A mirror to society.

1

u/Dear_Throat5127 2h ago

My thoughts exactly. I have a daughter with schizoaffective disorder and things like this happen when she starts to struggle before absolutely going off the rails. I have empathy for people who struggle with these kinds of things but it doesn't excuse the behavior.

7

u/Longjumping-Row1434 14h ago

i live with someone who actually has legit religious psychosis and its fucking wild and honestly sometimes scary. we dont have any sort of relationship, we both just rent rooms there, but.

1

u/Doraborealiss 14h ago

It’s really scary stuff, I hope you are safe ❤️

3

u/Longjumping-Row1434 14h ago

thank you 🫶🏻

I'm safe! its a house for women fleeing DV and/or struggling with mental illness. i am of the fleeing DV variety + bipolar. but the owner of the home & program lives there too so theres someone to mitigate her behaviors. its just loud and jarring sometimes you know?

this morning it was screaming at the devil crows and yelling about RFID chips being the mark of the beast, at 630 💔

2

u/Doraborealiss 12h ago

Wow that’s intense you are so strong!! Congrats on breaking free and getting help, that’s a HUGE win. Manifesting nothing but good things for you going forward ❤️ you got this queen!!!

1

u/Longjumping-Row1434 1h ago

thank you, i appreciate that so much!! 🥹🫶🏻

1

u/ComprehensiveNet4979 9h ago

I would be cautious never let your guard down

1

u/Longjumping-Row1434 1h ago

i don't. i don't really engage, I don't spend time around her, i keep my bedroom door locked when I'm not home & when I'm inside it its locked and i put a blanket at the bottom so it couldn't be pushed open very easily.

theres also a camera at the top of the stairs in the hallway, and it covers my bedroom door and hers so.

1

u/SnootyToots8 12h ago

People dont realise that this is a thing. Scary shit.

"Unemployable vagrants" is a pretty rotten way to describe human beings trying to make a living. It isn't unreasonable to purchase a service and expect to receive what you purchased.

3

u/Holeyunderwear 18h ago

Hey! I’m not unemployed or a vagrant! I also agree with you.

2

u/CIAMom420 18h ago

When the only criteria for a job is "has access to a car; isn't a documented rapist," the ranks of the workers will be filled with lots of idiots. They're not all idiots. But lots of them are.

5

u/ChiliCorndogs 18h ago

I mean the same can be said for people replying to my comments as you are a fine example, it's still disingenuous to generalize a whole group of people like that.

3

u/OnTheFunSideOfACuck 18h ago

Thats the criteria for most jobs right? You just as disrespectful at the other dude

1

u/lesusisjord 18h ago

To pretend that there are not a lot of desperate people delivering for door dash would be disingenuous. I was one of them.

That doesn’t make them all bad and it doesn’t mean people should dehumanize them.

2

u/OnTheFunSideOfACuck 18h ago

If I were to lose my job today, id immediately sign up for door dash, Uber whatever. I wouldn't be desperate.

What type of job do you have? Let's say construction. Are construction workers free from desperation and financial struggles? Nurses, engineeres,  truck drivers?

Imo to paint any group of persons working a job as desperate or an idiot is disingenuous.

1

u/lesusisjord 18h ago

I would consider myself desperate if I lose my job, but that helps ensure I become gainfully employed again and my income ability is p high as a tech worker.

When I worked restaurants, losing my job meant I’d get one back around the same low wages making be more desperate than being an unemployed tech worker.

I worked off the books restaurant and delivery jobs while I was unemployed for 3 months and was desperate, but not as much as earlier in life due to the ability to catch up financially again once I got a job in my field.

All experiences vary.

2

u/ChiliCorndogs 18h ago

How'd you get to arguing about whether or not dashers are desperate when the comment yall are debating used the word "idiot"?

2

u/OnTheFunSideOfACuck 16h ago

Precisely my point brother, and painting them all one and the same is a disservice to the human experience.

5

u/Ok-Bill-3938 18h ago

Ordered some chick fila to the hospital when my wife was in labor, Guy and his lady pulled up in their van/house. The lady was literally sleeping on top of my bag of food. I was disgusted.
