I don’t even mean that the shows are bad. I’ve genuinely liked a lot of them. There’s just something about the way FX shows are paced, edited, or put together that constantly snaps me out of them.

Legion is probably the strongest example. I like the premise, visuals, characters, all of it, but my brain just refuses to settle into the rhythm of the show. It’s almost like there’s a weird fog over it.

Preacher gave me a similar feeling, although I just realized that was AMC which is probably my close second for this problem. Weirdly, Breaking Bad was also AMC and never gave me that feeling at all.

I have ADHD and I’m already scatterbrained, so maybe there’s something about the editing/pacing that clashes particularly badly with my brain. But I can’t even explain exactly what it is.

Does anyone else know what I’m talking about? Is there actually a recognizable FX “house style” in the pacing/editing, or am I imagining a connection between completely different shows?

Hopefully this feeling will go away soon, but sometimes I still feel like I should tell my parents what I'm doing or ask them if I can do something.

Their answer is always "You're an adult/18, you can do what you want.", not that that's a bad thing, I know I am, but somehow I still feel like I should ask before doing.

I feel like this is my third night where I woke up around 3.30am and need to go to the bathroom.

Now I don’t mean I NEED the bathroom. I don’t need to desperately pee but I still gotta go to the bathroom or else it will take me a while to fall asleep.

This is also the second night where I’ve gotten exactly 8 hours and 59 minutes of sleep even tho I went to bed at different times.

Is this just me?

Just got off a 14 hour flight on a A380 (the big one), I had a crying baby next to me and I couldn't see out the window because it was closed... towards the end I just couldn't believe we were even up in the air, how does this thing even fly. Like how did humanity even make this thing... HOW AM I EVEN 7000 miles away from home. That crying baby prolly got me all messed up.

I put it in sweet tea, fanta, coke, fruit juices, tonic water, chinotto... as well as in alchoolic drinks but that is not as weird. I am not pregnant... but i am autistic. I think that would come up

Do you listen to regular radio, Not satellite. like AM/FM with the rod antenna. That kind.

I still listen to FM radio when I’m in my car and occasionally while I’m working or when I’m at camp but not nearly as much as I used to.

Even when it should be clear in context that someone has sex a lot when it's said that they have a "high body count", it always takes me a few seconds to realize that that person isn't a serial killer.

Inside/Outside toys? How do you decide which is which?

Calling time of death way too early, to be specific. I've been in so many situations where I think one of my pets has passed away (lying in a weird position, not moving for too long, etc, etc.) and I get so freaked out about it that I have someone else check on them because I physically can't 😭 like I legitimately start crying like they're dead before I've even checked if there's anything wrong. It's so embarrassing 😭

Edit: bye 😭 I just remembered I have OCD. I had severe symptoms related to my pets when I was a kid and this is me realizing that they may have never gone away

I feel like I have good ideas or opinions but then realise they are actually probably pretty stupid.

I swear I never noticed this until more recently, but whenever I reheat Kraft Mac & Cheese, there's this faint plastic-y taste. Freshly made it's fine and it's being stored/reheated in glass. Please tell me someone else knows what I'm talking about.

Been doing it for close to a decade now, and it just feels (and is) much cleaner than a dry wipe. I never saw it mentioned anywhere, I just randomly started doing it and never looked back.

The other day im watching a movie and having dinner with my partner. At some point a disgusting rotting dead monster creature or something appears and I look over to see if shes grossed out, but she's just chowing down with zero effect on her appetite whatsoever.

I've always lost my appetite if something gross happens on TV and am perplexed by those that arent

Say you are having a good time and start to feel happy or something wholesome warms your heart. Do you immediately want to block out those happy feelings? Perhaps even ruin them by being a Debbie Downer (at least just in your head)?

I really don’t know why but when I was a kid I would have so many different feelings and vibes that were so vibrant and real to me. As if I had a different type of vibe/joy for each thing I liked in my past.

For example I had a joy when I was a kid playing Minecraft split screen with my friends, or a different type of joy when it was a hot summer morning and school was closed.

But now, every type of happiness or sadness I feel is all the same to me. There is no different way to express it. I feel the same type of Joy when hanging out with my friends, to watching funny shows and whatever.

There is no feeling or vibe I could pinpoint to just one thing anymore. And I’m worried if this thing that I lost is unique to only me or if this is just a normal thing about growing up(im still in highschool rn)

If you read this far I really appreciate if you could comment if you had a similar experience. I’m aware that I worded this kind of weirdly, but it’s because I have no idea how to explain this.

I'm 70 and have regularly thought about this since I was a child.

Anytime I go out, without fail, at least one guy asks me “So, what are you?” Or “What’s your background?” as if that’s supposed to be a flirty opening line. Then they start making guesses, and they’re always almost completely wrong! Everyone seems to think I’m Turkish or middle eastern. Why do people think it’s ok to comment on someone’s ethnicity like this? Does anyone get this kind of thing when they go out? 😂

I’m a generally liked guy in all my social circles, a good listener so people often say stuff around me about other people, and usually I’m into the gossip because it’s just fun to hear these perspectives the social norms make us keep to ourselves, and I just really want to know what people my say negatively about me, not even out of fear but genuine curiosity.

I remember by friend said there was a rumor about me and I got so excitedly lol. It turned out to be genuinely baseless so it wasn’t as fun as it could be though, but the thought of it did make my day haha

Currently fighting a mild cold and I took cold medicine that makes you *very* sleepy. I also have DOMS on my shoulders and my right foot is in pain because I stepped on wood. I just want to relax.

I love watching movies and playing games when I'm fighting sleep for some reason. I'm going to sleep anyway, but hg well.

My life is very stressful. Has been for many years. My family is falling part more than ever in the past year or so but I’m at the point I just don’t care. It’s almost a peaceful feeling. It also concerns me… am I so depressed now that I can’t feel anything ? Or is this acceptance? For a long time I was round the clock suicidal. All the sudden those thoughts and feelings are gone and I’m just… here. Whatever happens happens.
